My late mother had an expression whenever I had a morning question about the weather. She would say in Spanish something like "open the window and see for yourself." Well, Democrats need to open the window and see what is happening in Texas. Down in McAllen, a GOP candidate was elected mayor. Did I tell you that McAllen is about as Hispanic as they get? (snip) In the Dallas area, two cities, Arlington and Ft. Worth, elected GOP mayors with significant Hispanic populations. It was 54-45% in Arlington or a 9-point lead. It was 53-46% in Ft. Worth or a 7-point lead.

I knew something was up in the Valley last November. I live a couple hundred miles north, but our Congresscritter is a Valley Democrat (our district, the 15th, is one of three spaghetti-shaped districts drawn to elect three Dems. from the Valley). Anyway, I figured that the Republican candidate, a fine Hispanic conservative woman, would do a little better than past candidates, but the incumbent would win probably 60-40. Lo and behold, it was something like a 6000 vote margin (50-47) and there were some questions about the vote counts in Hidalgo County (where McAllen is located). And just the road in Zapata County (a border county), Hillary Clinton won it in 2016 by an 80-20 margin. In 2020, President Trump won the race by 5.

Back in the 1830's, freedom- loving Tejanos, such as Seguin, Navarro and Zavala ( you can find their names on a Texas map just like Austin Travis Crockett and Bowie), were also known as Republicanos and detested the tyranny coming from Santa Anna's disregarding the 1824 Mexican Constitution as much as the Anglo "Texians". We have had Republicanos in Texas from the beginning.

It's not abortion but border jumpers that is the burr under the Hispanic saddle. Democrat support for abortion has been around for more than half a century. Biden's open border invasion has tipped the issue from helping Mexican peons to being suckered by Latin America and the world. These people distort the labor market, driving down wages and shrinking employment opportunities. They bring all sorts of social and criminal problems along with them, and the Hispanic community knows this and suffers most. Anyone hear much more about those 90 people kidnapped and imprisoned in the Houston home? Of course not. But the Tejano community gets it. Frankly, the author's observation that the Hispanic vote is "maturing" is an insult. That's why so many Texas GOPers can't bridge the chasm with minorities.

If Republicans are smart ( and that’s still in question) they should be appealing to Hispanic voters because many of their values are in alignment. Hispanics believe in close family ties, faith, hard work to earn a living - now isn’t that great. Wake up Republicans!

The message to the Hispanic communities around the country should be the democrats want to do to your families what they have done to the African-American families. Destroy them.

Critical race theory opponents are the new Tea Party, a grass roots phenomenon all over the country, mobilizing both activists and people with political background at all to oppose the teaching of race hatred. There is nothing quite as powerful in exciting passions in adults as a threatening their children. And make no mistake: critical race theory harms children deeply, teaching Blacks that they are victims and can’t succeed on their own, and teaching non-Blacks that they are born evil. The election of 2020 is going to lay bare the dereliction of the Supreme Court for all to see. The COVD-19 pandemic gave numerous state election officials an excuse to implement far-reaching changes to our election processes. Those changes obviously made our systems vulnerable to fraud. States implemented massive mail-in balloting at the same time they relaxed ballot security and voter identification. They even extended the voting periods -- to give the criminals more time to commit their fraud. All these changes were unconstitutional. (snip) The Supreme Court declined to get involved.

The CIA believed it was possible, when it developed Project MKUltra in the 1960s, to discover ways to brainwash people. Merely mentioning MKUltra sounds like a tinfoil hat conspiracy theory but the fact is that the project did exist. (snip) Don’t those sound remarkably like some of the talking points repeated so often in the news media and social media? Believe the scientists. Trust the experts. Believe the expert opinions.

There is something you need to know because it is of overwhelming importance to America’s survival as a constitutional democratic republic: The Biden administration is moving inexorably to making it a crime to oppose Biden and the Democrat party’s policies. Attorney General Merrick Garland is organizing a massive task force to hunt those illusory “White supremacists,” who just happen to be Trump supporters. Moreover, the federal charging documents against many of those being held for trespassing in Congress reveal that some of the people most active in planning January 6 and encouraging others to act were FBI agents or informants. In other words, it was a set-up.
