Columbia, S.C.—In his first public address since the end of the Trump administration, former Vice President Mike Pence on Thursday put down a marker for a potential return to elected office, telling an audience in early-voting South Carolina that he will use the coming months “pushing back on the liberal agenda" he says is wrong for the country. “We've got to guard our values… by offering a positive agenda to the American people, grounded in our highest ideals,” Pence told an audience of several hundred at a Columbia dinner sponsored by a conservative Christian nonprofit that lobbies for what it considers to be

Comments:

Mike Pence, a model Republican. Nowhere to be found when it counts, but making lots of noise when cameras are nearby and there's nothing to be accomplished.

I believe Trump is just too big a target to weather another attempt at political office - however, I do think he can still be a powerhouse to reckon with as a backer and supporter of many who can and should. Pence is just another slice of pasty white bread old guard Republican fuddy-duddys. Out with them.

For 3 years and 11 months, Mike Pence was a great VP. He never did anything, but he was good with the photo ops. But then, when it finally came down to it, instead of standing up for the law, the Constitution, and his boss, he folded like a wet DC swamp creature. And then he stabbed President Trump in the back with his words when it was all said and done. If he wanted to be president, he should have stood with President Trump and fought the illegal election theft that handed the presidency to not-my-president Lyin' Joe biden!!! No, slither back under your rock with the rest of the swamp creatures. All of us who supported President Trump have no use for disloyal, slimy, back-stabbing, swamp creatures like you!!!!!

If Trump wants the nomination, it’s his. No one has his power, his drive, his courage. Plus, we know he can get the job done. If Pence had a lick of sense, he would be able to see that. He is blinded by ambition that comes from establishment traitors, and you know who they are. Trump put Pence in a position to be a possible candidate for President, a feat he could have never accomplished on his own. Had he been loyal and shown courage, he might well be in a good place to run, but he chose to betray not only the President, but his supporters and the country. We do not need men and women like Pence. He made that perfectly clear. Wait until the President (that was intentional) starts have having rallies again. The crowds will be enormous. The media and democrat will go nuts. Just imagine what will happen if the audits produce pay dirt. My goodness the people of this country will be overjoyed. While the democrats believe they have it all under control, give the people a chance to get behind President Trump again and the excitement will explode. However, with this comes a warning. Democrats, the media and the foreigners who interfered in the election will be livid and we know they are capable of.all kinds of evil. Gird your loins, say your prayers especially for President Trump and this country. I don’t believe we have seen the depth of evil that these enemies, both foreign and domestic, are prepared to visit upon this country and its people. Frankly, I would rather have hope with President Trump regardless of what these venal people may do, than be resigned to live the life they have planned for us. If we have learned anything since January 2021 it is that freedom is precious but fragile and the enemy is determined, but we must fight right now for all the generations to come for their chance to live the American dream free of the yoke of an oppressive and abusive government. Could an audit be the turning point? I pray it is.

I truly like Mike Pence, but he's lost touch with the reality of what was lost. That "winning agenda" did win, but was thrown away by all that wouldn't stand up against the fraud that robbed us all!

In re #56, DeSantis seems closest to having the Trumpian schtick, but, must step it up quite a bit more than he already has. To have a chance, DeSantis needs to start telling the msm to shove it sideways. Like Trump does. He speaks for us. This is what got President Trump elected and this is what could get DeSantis elected. Assuming that Trump decides not to run - but he will. The love of America, as founded, remains strong within him. If I remember correctly former Confederate general Joseph E. Retired Judge Raymond A. Batten ruled that Vineland Police Chief Rudy Beu, 60, was guilty of insubordination, conduct unbecoming a public employee and neglect of duty as well as other charges. City officials wanted to suspend the chief for 180 days without pay as well as demote him, pressofatlanticcity.com reported. Even as the United States begins its troop withdrawal, Afghanistan experienced a rising wave of violent attacks against security forces and civilians during President Biden‘s first three months in office. The attacks, blamed mainly on the Taliban insurgency, raise fresh questions about the country’s fate as President Biden sets a definitive end date for U.S. combat troops in the country. Power-sharing talks between the Taliban and the U.S.-backed government in Kabul have largely stalled even as the Pentagon and NATO countries begin the process of bringing their troops home. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” that she would “never forgive” former President Donald Trump and the rioters at the U.S. Capitol on January 6.Pelosi said, “I will never forgive those people and the president who instigated the insurrection for the trauma they caused to the workers in the Capitol, whether the young people who work in our offices, whether custodial staff who make the Capitol run, whether it was the Capitol Police. They messed up my office, broke mirrors and stole stuff, and the rest, who cares. But I do care that the impact, the negative impact, the fright they instilled in people

During a portion of an interview with NBC aired on Thursday’s broadcast of “NBC Nightly News,” President Joe Biden responded to Sen. Tim Scott’s (R-SC) speech on Wednesday and stated that while he doesn’t think the American people are racist, “after 400 years, African Americans have been left in a position where they are so far behind the eight ball in terms of education and health, in terms of opportunity.”Host Craig Melvin asked, “He said among other things, America isn’t racist. Is it?”Biden responded, “No, I don’t think the American people are racist. But I think after 400 years, African Americans have been left in a position where they are

Joe Biden’s administration, seeking deep cuts to planet-heating emissions, is facing pressure to take a previously unthinkable step: declare the end of the internal combustion engine in the US. Washington state has moved to call time on the age of gasoline and diesel cars, with the legislature passing a goal that new car sales be only zero-emission vehicles from 2030, including out of state purchases that are then imported. The legislation now awaits to signature of Governor Jay Inslee, a Democrat who previously ran for president on the climate crisis platform. While not a strict mandate, the Washington bill is

Tucker Carlson opened Friday night’s show with a pointed critique. The rhetorical question was why the Republican leadership is so disconnected from Republican voters. One of the reasons, he said, is Frank Luntz. For decades, Luntz has been giving the GOP leadership its talking points. The problem is that Luntz is not a conservative; he is a corporate servant and his points always align with corporate America – and lately, corporate America has been aligning with the woke left. (snip) He’s the one who tells them that Republican voters love illegal immigration, want amnesty, and think it’s a great idea for the government to take their weapons.

UFOs exist — but the government doesn’t want you to know it, according to the ex-Pentagon official who says he ran the program investigating “unidentified aerial phenomena” or UAP. Recalling the revelatory instant when he recognized that UFOs were bona fide, controversial whistleblower Luis “Lue” Elizondo exclusively told The Post, “It was a holy-s–t moment: ‘Oh, my gosh, it’s real. Well, crap, now we have to do something about it.’ ” However, Elizondo has not been able to get the feds to act on what he describes as a serious national security risk due to a litany of roadblocks — including a cover-up of the existence of UFOs

Federal agents served a search warrant at a boutique resort in Homer, Alaska, saying they were looking for a laptop stolen from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office during the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, one of the Homer Inn and Spa owners said. Agents on Wednesday confiscated laptop computers and a cellphone, owner Marilyn Hueper said. A cellphone belonging to her husband, Paul Hueper, was also forensically audited by agents but not confiscated, she said. Marilyn Hueper said agents also claimed there was photographic evidence that she was inside the Capitol during the riot; something she denies.

I confess that like most Americans, I had no interest in watching Joe Biden’s non-State of the Union address to a mostly empty House chamber hosting a joint session of Congress. That’s why I missed a golden moment during the commentary afterward on Fox News Channel, one that surely stands as what the progressives like to call a “Profile in Courage.” (snip) Last week, the host of the program [Fox News Primetime] was Ben Domenech (snip) With a potential plum like that a possibility, Domenech deserves a lot of credit

Sen. Joe Manchin, the moderate Democrat from West Virginia, said in an interview Friday that he opposes legislation to give Washington, D.C., statehood — effectively killing a Democratic-led effort to reshape the American political map. "If Congress wants to make D.C. a state, it should propose a constitutional amendment and let the people of America vote," Manchin told WV MetroNews Talkline, a West Virginia news outlet. Asked directly if he would oppose unilateral action by Congress to make the district a state, Manchin replied, "Yes, I would." Stasha Rhodes, the campaign director for the pro-D.C.-statehood group 51 for 51, said in response

President Joe Biden is again spending the weekend in Delaware, but just how he spends his days of leisure are shrouded in mystery. The White House has so far released very little information about what he does on Saturdays and Sundays, providing the public with scant details about whom he spends time or speaks to. When he arrived at his Wilmington residence Friday afternoon, it marked his seventh trip home as president as the country returns to some semblance of normal amid the coronavirus pandemic and a day after he cleared his 100th in office. Presidents never experience "a true

Many of us recently saw an online video of a young teenage girl brandishing a knife, large enough to be a deadly weapon, attempting to stab another young girl. Just in the nick of time, a police officer shot the attacker, who died. While this is the most extreme video I've seen, there are many other instances of similar behavior, mostly unrecorded by media. Somehow, we have become a nation in which literally thousands of young people are walking around, ready at a moment's notice to react with violence,

U.S. resistance to getting a COVID-19 vaccine is slowly diminishing, a new online survey finds, but it still exists and at especially high rates in some blue-collar jobs -- and nearly half of respondents are worried about side effects. For adults under age 65 who are hesitant, reluctance is mainly driven by concerns about safety, side effects and distrust in government, the poll found. It's also largely linked to people's line of work. The bottom line: "Vaccine hesitancy is emerging as a key barrier to ending the COVID-19 pandemic," said lead author Wendy King, associate professor of epidemiology in the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health.
