During a portion of an interview with NBC aired on Thursday’s broadcast of “NBC Nightly News,” President Joe Biden responded to Sen. Tim Scott’s (R-SC) speech on Wednesday and stated that while he doesn’t think the American people are racist, “after 400 years, African Americans have been left in a position where they are so far behind the eight ball in terms of education and health, in terms of opportunity.”Host Craig Melvin asked, “He said among other things, America isn’t racist. Is it?”Biden responded, “No, I don’t think the American people are racist. But I think after 400 years, African Americans have been left in a position where they are

Democrats sure talk about racism and illegal immigration a lot. Not a peep about anything that will help ordinary working Americans. Democrats say they don't white people. It's either them going, or us.

The reason they are “behind the 8 ball” is because of leftists like you Biden, who continue to promise a never ending list of government handouts for no work except for having more kids.

I can't even find a place to begin. Come to my house in Texas and have some dinner with me and my good friends and family. Shall we include many of my grandchildren? Grandpa cooks SOME GOOD but the kids bring in some good stuff too. Sorry JoeBoy you don't get to tell us when we can celebrate Independence Day. My white family and my Black family are ONE family and we don't need your permission to live.

This is where you can link the democrat party control of many of the large cities and their inability to have addressed such issues, particularly over the last 55 years.
Joe Biden has been in a position of power in the United States Senate for most of his life, and was VP for 8 years.
But he is only now considering those issues as something he should address.
President Trump was looking to fix many of these problems, but was resisted for 4+ years by democrats.
Same with a solution for immigration- they met, worked on things, then the democrats squashed it.
Sen. Tim Scott also had a police reform bill last year, but again, democrats squashed it.

If this is true why did Biden wait until his fiftieth year in public life to start talking about it?

Blacks have been at a disadvantage from the start.here. America was settled mostly by people from Europe, which was a more advanced society, as compared to those who came from Africa. And then blacks became a political football here and got attached to democrat government welfare programs, which has kept so many of them impoverished, resulting in the disintegration of the black family.

Anyone depending on many of the woke public school systems in the USA right now ARE at a disadvantage. That is mostly the rat party's fault. Of course any one person family is at a disadvantage, but that is the fault of a lot of people who don't know what a promise is or the word responsibility. Health is harder when you start out life without a High School degree or any work experience. Opportunities? You mean like special quotas and different, lower standards? THAT has been in effect for minorities as long as I can remember. You get what you pay for and if no one expects anything from you there is an excellent chance they will get nothing from you. This donkeyrat is the perfect zero leader for a despicable party.

Blacks were not left behind the 8 ball, they put themselves there.
They have been given every opportunity. Almost every school in this country was integrated around 1964, and what happened. Black scores did not go up, but white scores went down. They got Affirmative Action jobs, they still get affirmative action jobs ,and quota's. The Government jobs are practically filled with blacks and they got promoted beyond their efforts because of quota's. I went to the MVA the other day here in Maryland and there wasn't a white employee there. The opportunities in America are here. People are coming by the thousands for those opportunities that the blacks have not taken advantage of. Most every race and from every country in the world people have been successful here, but the poor black who had a slave ancester can't make it, because he feels his living is owed to him from his Great Great Grandfather being a slave.
They need to stop their crying and get with the program.

Black people are behind the 8 ball through no fault of their own. They are ahead of the 8 ball in sports and entertainment. There are many Black geniuses, make no mistake, but over time IQ tests taken on all continents and different cultures show Blacks with a consistant average of 85, whites in the 90s, and northeast asians close to 100. There are group variations, but results have been consistant. These numbers are a no-go in academia, but privately acknowledged and discussed.

After the past 50+ years of affirmative action? Really? At what point is it the individual's responsibility to pull him/herself up by his/her bootstraps? That isn't a rhetorical question. I wanna know.
Stop treating people like groups. Treat them as individuals. The group often will keep you back. However, with the help of God and your friends, you can succeed. You don't need the government.
But wait . . . that's what Biden and all those sorry Dems are selling: GOVERNMENT! They want to rule over us as our lords and ladies. Screw them and the horse they rode in on!

Under whose administration was Black unemployment the lowest in American history (and of course I exclude "slavery" as employment -- that's evil)? It wasn't Bush, Clinton, Bush 2, or Obama. It was Trump -- a loud mouth business man who got the job done. And he was a Republican. So who is keeping Blacks down?

Yeah in the 50's the Black American family was making progress. In the 60's LBJ signed into law the worst possible legislation...The Great Society. Now you can recall, LBJ was a democrat. From then on the Black Family crumbled into another slavery. The slavery continues today, 2021. Don't forget this piece of history. Think about it. Father's were no longer legally living at home. A woman must be dependent on the government for support. Not a husband. I won't get into name calling, or insinuate that black Americans got a better life. They didn't and still don't. They are enslaved by the Democrats. Biden is a supporter, a democrat who makes remarks about black people. Ugly racial slurs. He gets away with it. He's the racist. I remember when 0bama first got into the race. Biden said that 0bama was clean; he spoke well. No one pitched a fit about those words. I find them racist. "They" still don't make mention of Biden's remarks. Who's the racist from the very beginning? Biden.

I had two black students that I tried everything I knew including personal conversations about their future. One told me getting an education was for whites. He fought everything about going to school or training for a job in every class. The second just wanted to draw every day but always copying some other 's artwork. He said his father received a monthly check at his house and his mother received a check at her house and he would receive a check the rest of his life like they had, so why work?

exactly what the democrats have not done for the black's of this country and the complicit black leaders (and you know who I mean) have profited greatly for keeping their own people in slavery. the plantation still exists and the government is the plantation owner.

Well, it's not my fault, Biden. I went to school with a lot of black kids back in the day and they were treated like everyone else. If you paid attention in class and did the work, you could graduate and make something out of yourself. If you slept in class, didn't do the work, were disruptive, picked fights and refused to learn, you ended up pumping gas or robbing liquor stores....white or black. I don't feel like I need to be lectured about race by a racist.

So, xiden responds to a speech that was a response to his speech; he should just quit talking. Besides, he represents both the era and the party responsible for mostly everything wrong in this country. They took a great country and turned it into one big hot mess, and they blame everyone but themselves.

Blacks can go to the same doctors and hospitals as white people. Blacks can go to school just like white people. The problem is not access, it is willingness to take the opportunity. Going to school and doing well, even in a poor inner city public school, and doing well is looked down upon. It makes you too white. The problem is not opportunity, it is black culture. Stop having babies when you're 14. Stay in school. Lose the attitude. Stop killing each other. Stop following black leaders whose only interest is keeping and maintaining their power over the community. Blacks are their own worst enemy.

Well, let’s see. Perhaps they are behind in education because their culture tells them that doing well in school is “acting white”. Perhaps they are behind in health because they eat garbage and a large percentage of them are obese. Not to mention rampant drug use. Perhaps they are behind in opportunity because of their attitude toward education and because they let the government push them into collecting a large assortment of “entitlements’ when they would be much better off working.

The 8 ball is black so isn't that a racist comment?
Education, Health and Opportunity are now catering to blacks more than ever in history. Schools are totally integrated, "white colleges" don't exist but "black colleges" do. Entry requirements are the most lax for blacks. Health is mostly a personal lifestyle choice and Opportunity in everything has been elevated to the point where whites and asians now take a back seat to POC in everything. Biden is a liar and a pandering idiot.
