worried about side effects

U.S. resistance to getting a COVID-19 vaccine is slowly diminishing, a new online survey finds, but it still exists and at especially high rates in some blue-collar jobs -- and nearly half of respondents are worried about side effects.
For adults under age 65 who are hesitant, reluctance is mainly driven by concerns about safety, side effects and distrust in government, the poll found. It's also largely linked to people's line of work.
The bottom line: "Vaccine hesitancy is emerging as a key barrier to ending the COVID-19 pandemic," said lead author Wendy King, associate professor of epidemiology in the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health.

Bull, Herd immunity is most likely here. Why should anyone take the vaccine when Fauce says you still will need to wear a (useless) mask and social distance? This type of vaccine has never been tried, and these vaccine have not been tested for long term effects. Since people even in their 80's have about a 98% chance of beating the virus, I will take my chances. If I do get it, I will be using hydroxychloroquine, Vitamin D and zinc. Wendy King is not any smarter than Fauci, and that's not saying much.

Some don't trust the folks who are so, so, SO anxious for us to take it.
ALL the lab animals died in the three previous mRNA vaccine attempts.
How do you define "side effect"?

As I've said before, give me a vaccine that doesn't manipulate my RNA and one that wasn't developed from aborted fetal cells, and I'll go ahead and take it. Until then, the answer is NO.

Why do people that have had the virus need to take the vaccine? Why do people that have taken the vaccine care if others choose not to? Why do you have to wear a mask if the vaccine works? Why do you have to stay inside, and wear a mask if the the vaccine works? Why does it take 5 years to get a vaccine approved by the FDA, and this one only a year? Why are all those prescribing the vaccine Democrats? Why aren't health professionals taking the vaccine?

I don’t take medicine for imagined threats. Covid is not a threat to me so I’ll take my chances. The whole covid response is a scam and a fraud to drive the great reset. Biggest hoax in history.

Don't want to, don't do . That simple. Why is this suddenly a big deal ?
I'm 75. I'm vaxxed 6 weeks now. I'm not dead from Covid and I'm not dead from "side" effects.
Feel pretty good actually. Think I'll take a walk around the block (credit Monty Python.)

We're coming out of flu season and COVID is a flu, so the risk is diminishing by the day. As more and more people get vaccinated, the risk to the unvaccinated declines further. I'm not saying I'll never take the vaccine, but I'm holding off on it until August or September. I know too many people who've had reactions and want to wait a while longer before jumping into a large-scale medical experiment.

The risks of Covid are real but largely treatable and survivable. The risks of various vaccines are as-yet unknown. I don't subscribe to the antivaxer fear porn of global population control but why would I bargain possible catastrophe for what is usually a temporary inconvenience.

Not hesitant at all. I’m not doing it. Now, the stories about vaccine sloughing are coming out, and they are frightening. Keep your vaccine cooties away from me, please.

"We're from the guvmint n we're heare to help you, peon." Roll up your sleeve like a good little sheeple.
Vaccine Side effects? Not many, except death.
That frees up that pesky social security and medicare money for LBGTQ.
That and the Death Tax money.

I agree with #1, however, I did take the (Pfizer) vaccine, and only suffered minor side effects (a fever and mild nausea about 24 hrs later, and the fever lasted < 24 hours), I've had similar from a flu shot. Wasn't worried.
However, on a trip to the grocery today, I took my mask off in the frozen food section (major fog, I wear glasses) and didn't put it back on until I visited the pharmacy. It felt GOOD !! :)

I have been driving from commie central ( Minnesota ) all day We are presently in Missouri. Very few people wearing masks here. Going in a grocery store like a normal human being made our day. Maybe we will stay here.

A good friend is a home health care worker doing physical therapy. In the last two weeks two of her patients developed blood clots shortly after getting vaccinated. One ended up with a stroke and is now unable to walk without help. The other ended up with the clot lodging in one of their lungs.
Anyone who says there aren't side effects is kidding themselves. And possibly there are a lot more people experiencing side effects - some decidedly non-trivial - than we are being made aware of.

I don't understand why so many folks have to reach for the fear porn. Just say you've decided none of the vaccines are the best option for your families.
Why must one in a million (literally) side effects or reactions be repeated and repeated. Trust your judgment and let others trust theirs.
And, in the name of God, mRNA vaccines do not change or touch your DNA. Just stick to the facts without trying so hard to frighten people.

Amen, #1. I’m taking my chances too. I’m 68 but with no co-morbidities and have lived my life as normally as possible for 14 months, only wearing a mask when forced to enter a business or doctor office. I still don’t personally know a single person who has had the virus.
I just upped my vitamin D3 from 2,000 IUs to 8,000 IUs and take 200% of the RDA of zinc every day. Don’t forget Ivermectin. We used it in paste form to worm our horses but doctors can prescribe it in pill form for humans and testing is showing that it is lethal to viruses. It can be taken as a preventative and to help in recovery for those who have the virus.

Nice insult wrapped up in the article about "blue-collar jobs" - i.e. people who are uneducated and ignorant. I know a number of highly educated people who are gifted with the ability to assess data and a touch of common sense who are strongly opposed to the 'vaccine'. Many health care workers are also quite skeptical. Maybe they should be reduced to blue-collar status?

If you can still get Covid after taking the vaccine then obviously the vaccine does not work. Why spend all that money and risk peoples health and lives from the side effects? Only we "Nutcases" think that maybe if you protect your immune system it would be a better idea.

Up yours, Wendy. Everything this fraudulent government says is good for Americans turns out not to be good for Americans. I file this vaccine in the same place I put climate change, unions, democrat stimulus lies, higher taxes and hordes of illegal immigrants.

How many know that Georg Soros turned in Jews to the Nazis and got them sent to the death camps, and then looted their homes during WW2?
And would you literally bet your life that "nobody would ever do anything like that again"?
