It happened Thursday in the White House when the AP’s Zeke Miller pressed Biden about one of the signature promises of his first 100 days — the pledge that 100 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine will be administered in that time. “You set the goal at 100 million vaccines in the first 100 days — is that high enough?” Miller asked. “Shouldn’t we set the bar higher? Joe Biden has been busy signing executive orders yesterday and today. During the Trump era, Democrats streamlined a process of blocking Trump’s executive orders through national injunctions. Here’s how it worked: State Attorneys General from left-leaning states would file lawsuits in friendly courts where left-leaning and judges would promptly issue injunctions that applied to everyone. This started with an injunction shutting down Trump’s ban on entry for certain countries which became known as the “Muslim ban.” Trump revised that executive order but that too was met with a nationwide injunction. When Trump tried to limit funds going to “sanctuary cities” that was met with a nationwide injunction.

National Review, after all, produced the infamous “Against Trump” issue in January 2016, assembling conservatives from many publications in an effort to derail the nomination of the man who became our 45th president. The chief complaints about Trump centered on style… and class. But graciousness in victory apparently is not an element of civility that appeals to Kevin Williamson, a talented wordsmith and star at what was once the flagship publication of the conservative movement.

Coverage of the presidency changed quickly when Biden was declared winner of the 2020 election in November. Members of the press touted Biden’s “delightfully boring” administration, obsessed over the return of pets to the White House and pondered about his socks, among other fluff pieces. Inauguration Day proved no different, with the media openly praising the new president and giving Americans a continued taste of what the next four years will likely look like. At CNN, correspondents had a lot to say about Biden. CNN White House correspondent Kate Bennett made sure to tell viewers that Biden was wearing Ralph Lauren

The virus it shipped worldwide succeeded beyond its leaders’ wildest expectations.I quote Zmirak’s peroration because of the openness of his loathing for the administration that began its reign on Wednesday.

There were a helluva a lot of infuriatingly annoying things Republicans were subjected to over the last four years from the mainstream media and Democrats. One of the big ones was their constant revisionism on all things Hillary Clinton.Leading the charge was the failed Democratic presidential nominee herself, who proclaimed as loudly and often as possible in interview after interview and speech after speech that President Trump “stole” the 2016 election from her and that she would have won in a landslide had it not been for the (non-existent) Trump/Russia collusion. Mrs. Clinton was never challenged by the left-wing media on these claims.

Trust in traditional media has declined to an all-time low, and many news professionals are determined to do something about it. Why it matters: Faith in society's central institutions, especially in government and the media, is the glue that holds society together. That glue was visibly dissolving a decade ago, and has now, for many millions of Americans, disappeared entirely. By the numbers: For the first time ever, fewer than half of all Americans have trust in traditional media, according to data from Edelman's annual trust barometer shared exclusively with Axios. Trust in social media has hit an all-time low of 27%. 56% of Americans agree with the statement

Alex Joske of the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), wrote to the Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security claiming that despite 325 individuals being identified, as many as 600 could be connected to Beijing-backed partnerships. It’s an odd way to seek national unity: call a significant portion of the American public white supremacists, racists, and nativists. Welcome to the Biden presidency. Joe Biden’s inaugural speech as 46th president is predictably being hailed for its “unifying” message. And just as predictably, his invocations of the divisive bromides of the identitarian Left are being swept under the rug. According to Biden, we are a “great nation” and a “good people.” But we also oppress minorities with an ever-rising fervor. “Growing inequity” is among the greatest challenges facing the country, according to Biden, along with the “sting of systemic racism” and encroaching “white supremacy.”

Democrats are ambivalent about the military, something clear from their approach to the inauguration. The Democrats summoned 26,000 National Guard troops to D.C., purportedly to protect Joe Biden from rioters. They then accused those same troops of being potentially dangerous White supremacists. Many of the troops responded, not by being dangerous, because they’re patriotic, constitutionally guided Americans, but by apparently turning their backs on Joe Biden.Sure, some have argued that the backward-facing troops were providing operational security, protecting the president from attacks from beyond as his motorcade drove by. But a look at the video shows that only some units have some troops facing Biden

President Joe Biden would sign documents to “launch a whole-of-government initiative to advance racial equity,” his transition team said in a Jan. 20 release. Equity means equality of outcome, a concept tied to the critical theories that slice up society into identity groups based on race, gender, sexual proclivities, and others, while positing which groups are oppressed and which are the oppressors, similarly to how Marxism labels people as oppressors or the oppressed based on class.

The Trump administration stopped these payments in 2017, as outlined in a Justice Department manual that initially came from a memo from former Attorney General Jeff Sessions. “When the federal government settles a case against a corporate wrongdoer, any settlement funds should go first to the victims and then to the American people — not to bankroll third-party special interest groups or the political friends of whoever is in power,” Sessions said in 2017.
