Appearing with Maria Bartiromo to discuss the latest series of revelations; as a result of forced document extraction from deep in the bowels of the deep state; representative Devin Nunes now states it may be time to talk about completely defunding the elements of the U.S. intelligence apparatus who are working to usurp the governing authority of the United States. This is a remarkable statement from the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee. Essentially Nunes is saying we remain in a state of an ongoing political coup inside the United States of America…. And he’s not wrong.

On Saturday afternoon’s CNN Newsroom, host Ana Cabrera brought on ultra-hyperbolic political analyst Carl Bernstein to make insane accusations towards President Trump, accusing him of “homicidal negligence” for his coronavirus response. Naturally, Bernstein demonstrated that left-wing hacks such as himself completely lack empathy by accusing Trump of jeopardizing “national security” by how he has handled informing the public about his battle with COVID-19. Cabrera initiated the hackery by launching into the entirely media-driven narrative that the White House was not being transparent about the President’s health: (Video)

Left-wing media figures took to Twitter on Sunday afternoon following President Donald Trump temporarily leaving Walter Reed Medical Center and taking a short drive to see his supporters who were outside showing their enthusiasm for the president. The most notable hit came from Washington Post blogger Jennifer Rubin, who called for the Maryland Attorney General to “indict Trump for reckless endangerment” and “assault.” (Tweet) Rubin suggested that Trump needed to be immediately removed from power through the 25th Amendment and claimed that the GOP was a “death cult” and not a “pro-life party.”

The White House Correspondents’ Association complained on Sunday afternoon that journalists were not invited on President Donald Trump’s short drive outside of Walter Reed Medical Center, calling it “outrageous.” The statement came as journalists complained about Trump allegedly not wearing the right kind of mask during the drive while others called for him to face criminal charges and to be removed from power. How convenient.
Joe Biden’s niece will have her day in court after she was busted on drugged-driving charges in Pennsylvania, with an arraignment set for Nov. 4 — one day after the presidential election.
Caroline Biden, 33, the daughter of Joe’s brother James Biden, was arrested in Lower Merion Township, Pa., in August 2019. The DUI case has been slowly moving through the courts.
The Nov. 4 arraignment ensures that the Biden bust will be kept in a deep freeze until after voters in the swing state and around the country go to polls.

After President Trump announced he had been tested positive for the coronavirus Dr. David Samadi, a top 100 US doctor tweeted out encouragement to President Trump and suggested the proven early treatment of HCQ, zinc and Zpack.

Doctors not involved in treating President Donald Trump for COVID-19 said the fact that he has been started on dexamethasone - a generic steroid widely used in other diseases to reduce inflammation - is evidence his case is severe. A caravan of more than 100 vehicles driven by out-of-town Trump supporters brought Fifth Avenue to a halt early Sunday — the latest show of support for the coronavirus-stricken president. The long line of cars, trucks and motorcycles had mostly driven into the city from Long Island — grinding traffic to halt for at least 30 minutes as they arrived to loudly cheer for the president outside his Trump Tower home. They constantly blared horns and waved flags — with loud chants of “four more years!” in support of the commander in chief’s re-election bid.

In 1932, Supreme Court justice Louis Brandeis famously called the states “laboratories of democracy.” Different states can test out different policies, and they can learn from each other. That proved true in 2020. Governors in different states responded to the COVID-19 pandemic at different times and in different ways. Some states, such as California, ordered sweeping shutdowns. Others, such as Florida, took a more targeted approach. Still others, such as South Dakota, dispensed information but had no lockdowns at all.
As a result, we can now compare outcomes in different states, to test the question no one wants to ask: Did the lockdowns make a difference?

The Left has embraced cop killers, rioters, arsonists, avowed Marxists, voting frauds, cancel culture and censors. They justify their accessory to crime and their trampling of Constitutional and human rights on the grounds that it serves a greater cause – the defeat of people who disagree with them.
This ends-justifies-the-means approach to morality – or to put it more simply, this abandonment of morality – is progressing inexorably to its natural conclusion. The Left now actively roots for the virus to kill people they don’t like, such as President Trump.
Drunk on their fantasy, they hope that his death is painful and humiliating and that his wife dies too.

The reason I want to move is that I’ve had it. For the first time in my life I’m bored with my surroundings and the new people who are arriving and sticking like flies on you-know-what. We may tend to forget during these tumultuous times that the vast majority of Americans in this great nation go about their lives focused on work, family, friends and other daily challenges rather than attuned to the crescendo of apocalysm that overwhelms today’s political discourse. Former Vice President Joe Biden’s presidential platform includes a tax proposal that could force some employers to abandon offering retirement options to workers, the industry is warning.
The plan would dramatically change the incentive to save for retirement by replacing the current deferral system with a tax credit.
Most retirement plans, such as 401(k) plans and IRAs, allow taxpayers to delay paying taxes on contributions to accounts until they are retired. By suspending this tax until retirement, workers have been able to grow their nest eggs beyond what they would have been if taxes were paid in the year that the money was received.

With 30-days left before the election perhaps it’s worthwhile remembering what all of this opposition is about…. Something 99% of American voters do not quite understand.
Congress doesn’t actually write legislation. The last item of legislation written by congress was sometime around the mid 1990’s. Modern legislation is sub-contracted to a segment of DC operations known as K-Street. That’s where the lobbyists reside.
Lobbyists write the laws; congress sells the laws; lobbyists then pay congress lucrative commissions for passing their laws. That’s the modern legislative business in DC.
When we talk about paying-off politicians in third-world countries we call it bribery. However, when we undertake the same process in the U.S.

A new poll released on Saturday showed that President Trump has not lost favor or popularity with the American people after a raucous debate night on Tuesday and hospitalization for COVID-19 on Friday. The poll came from John Zogby Strategies and shows that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden now leads the president by only two points, well within the margin of error. The new numbers show a reduction of five full points after their previous July sampling. Our July 8th poll showed Biden leading Trump 49% to 42% and the previous poll released on August 29th had Biden leading by six points (48% to 42%).

Congressional Democrats who have spent the past four years fixated on the Constitution’s emoluments clause might want to focus on another portion of our nation’s founding document.
Article VI, Section 3 states that lawmakers and federal employees “shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.” This passage could end up front-and-center in the Senate hearings over Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the Supreme Court.

Melania Trump and Ivanka Trump are reported in the media to be rivals of sorts.
Well, here's a rivaly no one would want to hope for: Which of the two has the lousiest former friends.
(snip) Chelsea Clinton has stepped forward into the spotlight, to tell everyone why she refuses to speak to her longtime childhood friend, Ivanka Trump, and it's a doozy. (snip) Chelsea Clinton, 40, said she and Ivanka Trump haven't spoken since 2016. During the discussion with host Andy Cohen, Clinton criticized the first daughter for "actively taking part in this administration's everyday collision of cruelty and incompetence."

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton defended himself Saturday evening after a group of high-level aides reported alleged criminal misconduct to federal law enforcement, according to local reports.
"We have a good faith belief that the Attorney General is violating federal and/or state law, including prohibitions relating to improper influence, abuse of office, bribery and other potential criminal offenses," said a letter signed by seven high-ranking assistant attorney generals. It was dated Oct. 1 but obtained and published Saturday by Austin's KVUE-TV and the Austin American-Statesman.

“I find it unusual that it would be that far into the future,” Mike Gottlieb,

It’s quite obvious to me that the Deep State and the Democratic Party that staffs it never got over the fact that their nefarious misuse of our intelligence agencies and hoodwinking the media didn’t work any better than their constant efforts after his election to remove Donald Trump from office and continue their autocratic grifting. This week was no exception. Indeed, I have to agree with Roger L. Simon that “In the aftermath of Trump’s contracting Covid-19, they are reelecting him.”
The Debate
Any sentient viewer of this week’s debate had to be disgusted. The moderator, the questions, the format all combined to make this an upscale version of an old-time

When the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic came to America earlier this year, Democrats rushed to score political points and demanded elections be conducted through the mail instead of in person. They did this thinking it would be politically advantageous and productive in bolstering victory for their candidates.
When President Trump pointed out problems unprepared systems would have with an onslaught of untested, mass mail-in voting, Democrats doubled down in an effort to prove him wrong.

States run by Republican governors on average have economically outperformed states run by Democratic governors in recent months.
The difference in economic growth is likely due to the pathway of the coronavirus pandemic in the first few months and the economic restrictions imposed by Democratic governors.
Overall, Democratic-run states, particularly those in the Northeast and Midwest, had larger contractions in gross domestic product than Republican-run states in the Plains and the South, according to the latest state GDP data for the second quarter of 2020, released by the Commerce Department on Friday.

Few phenomena have been as politically polarizing in recent years as fatal police shootings. The death of Breonna Taylor—shot and killed by police during a warrant-service operation in Louisville this past spring—has become part of the media and political maelstrom surrounding the deaths of other black Americans at the hands of police. The Taylor shooting has served as a springboard for debates about police reform—specifically, about qualified immunity, police militarization, and racial disparities in police use of force. Her death—like any death in police custody—is tragic. It should inspire police leaders, lawmakers, and commentators to reflect dispassionately on what should have been done differently.
Not every police shooting is avoidable.

Get well soon, Mr. President!
But with President Trump unfortunately sidelined at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for a few days, do you think the media will now be able to devote more attention to examining the incoherent babbling of Dementia Joe Biden?
Nah, won’t happen. The media have been ignoring and/or covering up Biden’s obvious mental decline for more than a year now, even though the video evidence is at their fingertips.
So while Trump is recuperating, let us consider some of Joe’s recent Greatest Hits. Since it’s the big story of the weekend, let’s get the veep’s latest takes on the virus.

Subtlety has been a stranger to our politics. This is the age of rage, and there is little room for nuance. That is evident in the intense debate over the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. Democrats have dispensed with any pretense in their calls to block her and pack the bench with more justices. What they want is a new reliable Supreme Court created through litmus test confirmations where Senate votes are conditioned on judicial pledges.
Several Democrats have said they will ask Barrett about her view of any challenge to Roe versus Wade, and of cases like the pending challenge to the Affordable Care Act.

It’s hard to wrap one’s mind around—and difficult for me to write, for that matter, so quickly—but Donald Trump will benefit greatly from his bout with COVID-19, assuming it is not too severe, and right now it would appear that way.
It will give him a time out, a cooling off period from a political campaign that had become too hot to handle, and will ultimately allow him to win.
Normally, Trump would win on the issues. He is right on almost all of them. In fact, you could remove the almost.

Bob Gibson died this week at the age of 84. Major League baseball’s website has posted a fine tribute to this great pitcher, one of the 20 best starters of all time for my money.
With his seven World Series game wins across three Series, his record-breaking performances in 1968 (after which the pitchers’ mound was lowered), and his unforgettable intimidating presence, Gibson was arguably the most important major leaguer of the 1960s.
(Sandy Koufax was a better pitcher, but he was done after 1966. Willie Mays and Hank Aaron were the dominant hitters, but collectively they played in only one World Series during the 1960s.)

This last week saw Joe Biden simultaneously advertising his “Catholic social justice” and touting his denial of it to unborn children. The former claim came at the virtual Al Smith dinner, the latter boast at last Tuesday’s debate.
It is a measure of Joe Biden’s shamelessness that he seeks to snatch the Catholic and anti-Catholic vote at the same time. He is running with an open anti-Catholic bigot, Kamala Harris, who regards mere membership in the Knights of Columbus as a disqualifier for public service, while rolling out ads designed to hoodwink Catholics into voting for him.

During a business trip to Michigan in the 1980s, I recall driving on a commercial street that ran north to south through various well-kept working-class neighborhoods. At one point, the road passed a "Welcome to Detroit" sign. Immediately the surroundings became bleak, with boarded up buildings and graffiti. It was a disturbing sight.
That was nearly two decades before the rapper Eminem immortalized Detroit life in his movie, "8 Mile," which refers to the east-west thoroughfare that separates Detroit from its northern suburbs. "But yo, I gotta get out there, the only way I know," he sang. I kept driving until I got out of there,

Honda Motor Co said on Saturday it has confirmed a 17th U.S. death tied to a faulty Takata air bag inflator.
The Japanese automaker said that after a joint inspection with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), it confirmed a faulty air bag inflator was to blame for the Aug. 20 crash of a 2002 Honda Civic that led to the death of a driver in Mesa, Arizona. The defect, which leads in rare instances to air bag inflators rupturing and sending metal fragments flying, prompted the largest automotive recall in U.S. history and is tied to 15 U.S. deaths in Honda vehicles

President Trump's campaign blasted Joe Biden for continuing to air negative ads while the president is fighting COVID-19 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland.
Biden's campaign pledged Friday to take down all negative ads against Trump as the president battled the coronavirus, but TV spots criticizing the president were still running Saturday as the president was hospitalized.
“Despite pledging to stop his negative advertising, nearly 100 negative Biden ads slandering the president and lying about his record have aired today while the president is at Walter Reed," Andrew Clark, Trump 2020 Campaign rapid response director, told Fox News on Saturday.

I never got to write the post about how the chaos of the first presidential debate may end up helping Trump because he came across as strong, and Biden as weak.(Snip)I want to begin by thanking all of the incredible medical professionals, the doctors, the nurses, everybody at Walter Reed medical center.(Snip)We’ve been so proud of it, but this was something that happened and it’s happened to millions of people all over the world and I’m fighting for them, not just in the U.S.(Snip)So I just want to thank everybody out there, everybody all over the world, specifically the United States, the outpouring of love has been incredible.
