We may tend to forget during these tumultuous times that the vast majority of Americans in this great nation go about their lives focused on work, family, friends and other daily challenges rather than attuned to the crescendo of apocalysm that overwhelms today’s political discourse. They well understand that this country has room for improvement — and, indeed, must improve — but they don’t clamor for revolution, or to repudiate the republic’s founding, or to dismantle the political, social and cultural institutions that have made the United States the most successful state in world history.

Well written, informed and objective, so it appears the editorial board spends some time at lucianne.com. Let’s see how much influence they have in Nevada.

Thumbs up. Just one tiny note, though; it ain't braggadocio if it's true and you're stating facts because you have to. An honest media would give us those facts, and the President wouldn't have to do their jobs for them.

Except for the "For all his flaws..." jab at Trump at the end of LVRG's editorial a fairly well-informed piece. More and more lefties are seeing the light.

Much thanks to Review Journal for standing up to the negative forces in your universe. I realize you had to equivocate and placate the opposition with some of your remarks considering the vast amount of union members who have a loud voice in Las Vegas. Your endorsement is appreciated.
Fta you mentioned... "often distasteful rhetoric of President Donald Trump... and for all his flaws." These are Minuscule compared to phony recent potus and to his current opponent. When you have a person as talented as President Trump, there will be atypical differences. He's not mediocre, he's exceptional and one in a million. Teddy Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson and George Washington were all exceptional with strong convictions and personalities nuances that made them great leaders.
Again, we thank you Review Journal a five star publication.

Yay R-J! I worked there many years ago and they were conservative then. We left Vegas 15 years ago and I have to say, the many friends we still have there, a lot of them Hispanic, are HUGE and unashamed Trump fans! They have been royally screwed over by their inexperienced, idiot, lefty governor. As an aside, my good friend’s granddaughter is a staff writer at the R-J. She turned against her grandma in a public way on FB for calling it the China virus. I hope she’s miserable right now. (I know, that was not nice.)

Yeah, our local fishwrap (San Antonio Express News) endorsed Sleepy Uncle Joe today and ran a couple pageson how if the Dems can turn out the vote in the Rio Grande Valley they can win the state for Biden.

The San Diego Union-Spitoon naturally endorsed Biden. Then again, they endorsed the Buttster in the primaries. That's how hopeless that rag has become.

How unusual any newspaper would endorse DjT. not to mention one with lots of Ds/unions as in Vegas
Telling.

What a fine editorial.
This especially struck me as a powerful statement of fact, referring to Biden:
"That should leave undecided voters skeptical about his ability to withstand intense pressure from a far-left flank seeking to tear down rather than build up; preaching inclusion but practicing intimidation and ostracism; extolling diversity but demanding conformity and obedience; and calling for introspection but exuding sanctimonious moral certainty."

This will put governor Sissy-Lax into a fine froth. Vegas is about to get dropped down a few tiers on the covid opening schedule.

They can’t quite go all in - need to jab here and there with the Dem/#NeverTrumper/Pearlclutcher memes. He has a perfect right to tell the American people and the world what he has been doing on his watch. This ersatz desire for humility is a pain. Too often in too many humility is just more fakery - think ‘umble" Uriah Heep - even Dickens knew about it. Our President has to wave his administration’s flag because no one in our Dem media will do it.

My home town paper. If I’m not mistaken, they endorsed Trump over Clinton in 2016 also. The paper is owned by Sheldon Adelson,, a long time friend and supporter of Trump. We continue to take the paper because it is conservative on the editorial page, but is balanced with liberal columnists. The paper does have to include the Las Vegas Sun, a liberal little section, and the worst paper ever. It will endorse Biden.
