Texas’ largest county has been approving voter registrations even when people say they’re not citizens, according to a lawsuit announced Monday that found some of those people managed to cast ballots, too. The Public Interest Legal Foundation says it uncovered dozens of examples of people who registered in Harris County over the last two decades, either admitted they weren’t citizens or left the box blank, yet were registered anyway. They were removed from the rolls after they later stated, again, that they weren’t, in fact, citizens. The Public Interest Legal Foundation says there are others it didn’t catch, including new applicants.

The study for Tatler magazine also showed that the majority of participants believe Meghan Markle, who is an American citizen, should not be commenting on US politics.
The poll, which was gathered last month by research consultancy Savanta Comres, polled 4,174 British adults and only included results from those who expressed an opinion when questioned.

The New York Times is undoubtedly pleased that it published more than two decades’ worth of Donald Trump’s tax returns. The self-congratulations are premature. The Times’ article reveals that Trump was telling the truth all along about his audit. We can also see that Obama’s policies benefitted rich people. Finally, because the policies show how our complicated progressive tax system will always benefit rich people with good accountants, the Times unwittingly advanced the argument for a flat tax.
It’s been 20 years since the outbreak of the al-Aqsa Intifada, a period of carnage that saw the deaths of over 1,000 Israelis and 3,000 Palestinians. The Intifada killed people and it killed hope. It killed Israeli hopes for an end to conflict and Palestinian hopes to become citizens in their own sovereign state.
In August 2000, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict seemed to be only a couple of signatures away from becoming a footnote in the history of the Middle East. In recent months, the Black Lives Matter organization has raised hundreds of millions of dollars (possibly into the billions) from individual and corporate donations. One Minnesota businessman gave the group $25 million. What do they do with all that cash?
The BLM web site doesn’t answer that question, nor does it even tell us what sort of a legal entity BLM is. You can donate here, but your contribution doesn’t go to BLM; at least, not directly. It goes to ActBlue Charities. ActBlue, to my knowledge, is primarily a fundraising arm of the Democratic Party, although it does raise money for far-left nonprofits as well.

A 5-year-old girl was stabbed to death Saturday morning in Chicago during another bloody weekend in the city that resulted in at least 48 people shot, including seven fatally, according to reports.
The girl, who was identified as Serenity Arrington, suffered multiple stab wounds and was rushed to Stronger Hospital, CBS Chicago reported. Neighbors in the East Garfield Park tried to assist her but she died shortly after arriving at the hospital. Her mother, Simone Austin, 27, was charged in her death with first-degree murder, the report said. The Chicago Sun-Times reported that there have been at least seven fatalities across the city and 41 people have been wounded.
