On Sept. 15 the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse received multiple hate/bias incident reports over discriminatory phrases written in chalk around the university. The Racquet Press spoke with three UWL students, who all are choosing to remain anonymous due to concerns with their on-campus job positions. “This incident felt like an attack on my identity and presence on campus,” said the first anonymous student. A couple were arrested after they were caught on camera assaulting two employees at a putting golf venue in Ohio on Wednesday night. A man and woman, Shaquan Foreman Antoin, 25, and Dekotha Arnold, 20, have been charged with assault and resisting arrest after the punchup at the location in Independence. The incident happened just before 11pm after Antoin's card declined. After settling his bill in cash, he then called a worker at the venue an obscenity. The employee subsequently told the pair that the manager would be brought and they would have to leave the venue as a result of their behavior,

In the 2016 election we kept track of event attendance after the Party Conventions for both candidate Trump and Crooked Hillary. We did this because the future President was setting records at seemingly every venue he visited while Hillary could barely fill half a high school gymnasium. A California resident has proposed changing the name of the monument to “Igmu Tanka Paha,” which means “Cougar Mountain,” TribLIVE reported on Friday. The media reacts quickly and with righteous indignation when a black person is shot by police, or by someone white, no matter what the facts of the case are. But far too often, even in the most heinous of cases, when the perpetrator is black and the victim or victims happen to be white, the headlines and reporting are not anywhere near the same. We have seen it in the case of 5-year-old Cannon Hinnant, who was executed by a black man in August, and we are seeing it again in the death of a 4-year-old white child in a targeted attack by a black man, WKBN reported.

A media campaign has erupted against Amy Coney Barrett, even though President Trump hasn’t actually nominated her to the Supreme Court. Barrett is clearly the front-runner, having spent a second straight day at the White House as the president moves toward his Saturday announcement. The Department of Justice on Thursday ordered Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, to modify its practices after several military ballots were found discarded.Fox News reports: The issue surfaced earlier in the day when the DOJ announced that it had recovered a small number of discarded ballots. While the Justice Department would not say where they had found the ballots, they did say there were nine recovered — seven of which were cast for President Trump, while the other two were sealed by Luzerne County before the FBI recovered them. In his letter to Luzerne County officials, U.S. attorney David Freed indicated that additional ballot materials were found in a dumpster.
