Mail-in ballots from the military serving overseas were found in the trash in Pennsylvania. The ballots were discovered during an investigation into election issues in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. They were all votes for President Trump. The U.S. Attorney’s Office Middle District of Pennsylvania released a statement on the situation on Thursday: On Monday, September 21, 2020, at the request of Luzerne County District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis, the Office of the United States Attorney along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Scranton Resident Office, began an inquiry into reports of potential issues with a small number of mail-in ballots at the Luzerne County Board of Elections.

Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) led a group of Democratic senators to call for the National Rifle Association (NRA) Foundation to be immediately removed from the list of charities eligible to solicit and receive contributions from federal employees on Friday. Twelve senators, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), wrote a letter to the head of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Michael Rigas, requesting the NRA Foundation be removed during the Combined Federal Campaign’s (CFC) annual fundraising drive, set to begin Sept. 21. The letter follows the lawsuit from the New York attorney general seeking to dissolve the powerful pro-gun interest group announced last month.

Approximately 150 pregnant Black and Pacific Islander women in San Francisco will receive a $1,000 monthly supplement during their pregnancies and for the first six months of their babies' lives, the city's mayor announced. Mayor London Breed's (D) office said on Monday that the Abundant Birth Project is the first of its kind in the country. The project's goal is to eventually provide a supplement for as long as two years post-pregnancy. “Providing guaranteed income support to mothers during pregnancy is an innovative and equitable approach that will ease some of the financial stress that all too often keeps women from being able to put their health first,” Breed said.

There is a gigantic, deadly game of “Let’s Pretend” going on in America. Politicians, the media, and activists are all pretending that the violence, the arsons, the beatings, and the mayhem in our city streets actually have a purpose. They pretend that the mostly peaceful protests are only being made violent by the mere presence of police officers. The media pretends that the rioters are “enraged” or fed up with “oppression” and “systemic racism” so that the chaos and thuggery is a completely normal response to the problem. Do these people really believe the riots are all about poor, drug-addled George Floyd?

There isn’t a degenerate BLM-ANTIFA leftists won’t riot over. Domestic abuser goes after a cop with a knife? Game on. Drug-addled loser gets into a fight with cops and dies of an overdose? Let’s do this. Sexual abuser fights with police? They probably had it coming, grab the Molotov Cocktails. Gang member runs at a cop with a gun in their hand? No justice, no peace! A murderer blows their own head off? Riot anyway, just because. The rage is all that’s important. Leftists have been waiting for this moment for a long time. Actually, “waiting” is the wrong word. The right word is “planning.”

One of the more disappointing aspects of Donald Trump’s presidency, at least for me, has been his continued support for both the execrable Renewable Fuel Standard and the ethanol lobby, particularly in Iowa. Sadly, in a pre-October surprise, the President has handed yet another gift to those players while dealing yet another blow to America’s drivers, boaters and the fossil fuel industry. This weekend, Trump approved the use of gas pumps designated for 10% ethanol blends for E15, or 15% blends, subject to state approval. The political component of this decision doesn’t even make much sense, to say nothing of the confusion it will cause among consumers and potential,

Police Commissioner Dermot Shea said the NYPD knows who the driver is who plowed through a crowd of Black Lives Matter protesters in Times Square — but cops are unsure if the “dangerous” driving was criminal. “Right now, we have nobody that came forward that is saying they were injured or that will cooperate but we are asking anyone,” the city’s top cop said on Fox5 Friday morning. When asked if a crime was committed, Shea responded, “Well, that’s what we want to see as part of the investigation we have to interview both sides.” “Anyone that was in that vehicle, because we believe there were

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan filed a petition Monday asking the state Supreme Court to block an effort to recall her, arguing that the push is based on a policy disagreement and is vague about what she should have done differently in her handling of widespread protests in June.In appealing her case to the state Supreme Court, Durkan argued that she hadn’t violated any law or standard. Her argument reprises some of the arguments she made in King County Superior Court, where a judge ruled that the recall effort could move forward, but also adds some new ones. “Following the most widespread civil unrest Seattle has seen in decades, Petitioners submitted,

Authorities are investigating a Long Island bar that posted on Instagram that it was taking bets on whether Chicago or New York City would see more shootings over Labor Day weekend. The Cliffton, a bar in Patchogue, New York, shared photos of a paper grid hung in the bar with patrons placing bets on the number of shootings in the two cities, Newsday reported Tuesday. The winner would take home an unspecified cash prize. The betting is “not only sickening, but also appears illegal under the Alcoholic Beverage Control law," the State Liquor Authority said in a statement to the newspaper. The state's alcohol and beverage law prohibits

California legislators passed a law Monday easing sex offender registry rules for those who commit sodomy or other sex acts with minors in order to end “discrimination against LGBTQ young people on the sex offender registry.”
The bill, which now heads to Gov. Gavin Newsom’s desk, would "exempt from mandatory registration under the act a person convicted of certain offenses involving minors if the person is not more than 10 years older than the minor and if that offense is the only one requiring the person to register,” according to the bill.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) promised Floridians during Monday’s press briefing “we will never do any of these lockdowns again.” “We will never do any of these lockdowns again, and I hear people say they’ll shut down the country, and honestly I cringe,” DeSantis said during the briefing in Central Florida: /snip for tweets/ The peak of the pandemic is now behind the Sunshine State, the governor said, explaining the number of positive coronavirus patients hospitalized is “down nearly 60 percent statewide from our July peak.” “We gained jobs, 74,000, I think, private-sector jobs in July. Just imagine if we had shut down the state, we would

At least 14 people were shot across New York City Monday and Tuesday — two fatally — amid a recent spate of gunplay, cops said. A 31-year-old man was blasted in the leg on Trinity Avenue near Pontiac Place in the Bronx around 4 a.m. Tuesday, cops said. He was taken to Lincoln Medical Center in stable condition. About two hours earlier, a 23-year-old man was shot in the stomach on Cruger Avenue near North Oak Drive, also in the Bronx, police sources said. He was taken to Jacobi Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Around 15 minutes before that shooting, a 29-year-old man was
