So Congress rewrote the law to make it more in line with their intentions? How quaint and old fashioned. This is no longer necessary. Roberts led us into the era when the SCOTUS directs the law tone whatever they want even if it is in direct contradiction to the written statutes.

This kind of performance is what makes Ginsburg not-so-great. Being female does not make one a "rock star" as Hillary found out the hard way.

I have recollection of her speaking at some international conference, i think in Cairo (of all places), where she said that Justices should be able to use foreign Law when deliberating over cases before the Court in the US. She was not the only one. But that belief is obscene, when you have had to take an Oath to uphold and defend our Constitution and the Constitutional order. She also had nasty remarks about Donald Trump in 2016. So much for staying out of the political sphere. Lefties have their own code of situational ethics. RIP, though, Ms. Ginsburg. Hope the screaming banshees didn't disturb your repose yesterday when the man you disrespected came to pay his respects to you. Funny how your supporters demeaned you at the scene.

Judicial activism might be far less 'necessary' if legislators wrote bills more carefully. But much of the time our lazy elected lawmakers write bills which are sloppy leaving details to unelected bureaucrats and enforcement open to interpretation.

Dont' worry. I imagine the "disrespect" RGB is feeling has nothing at all to do with the horrible karens that think they can intimidate true adults and everything to do with how far away from God she was. Im sure the karens were a relief compared to what she is going through now. May God have mercy on OUR souls when the time comes.

Forgetting who she is, Meghan Markle, duchess of Sussex, has decided she'd also like to become president of the United States. (snip)Seems that with duchess titles coming easily, shouldn't presidential ones, too? All she has to do is smile pretty...and speak woke, and the American voters will be drooling for her. Her foray into U.S. politics is getting particularly unseemly for someone who hasn't renounced her title of duchess. First she started hanging out with Michelle Obama, "teaming up for female empowerment" as the press release, I mean USA Today article, put it.
Proof positive Kamala Harris

Even in a profession known for phoniness, Kamala Harris stands out as remarkably fake. We expect politicians to lie — "what a beautiful baby!" — but we also expect them to be reasonably skilled at it. Being unable to convincingly name a favorite thing takes a lot of experience in counterfeiting feelings. Yet, yesterday, in the softest of softball interviews on CNN, where she was asked about her various "favorites" — roast chicken is her "go-to" dish to cook (as if she spends a lot of time in time kitchen [snip]) — she stumbled and revealed that she only pretends to listen to rap music.

It’s up to God to decide if Nancy Pelosi is a truly terrible person, but she’s giving an excellent imitation of one here on earth. Pelosi seemingly believes that 2020 has given her license to violate all political norms. In the past two months, Pelosi has called federal law officers “stormtroopers,” violated the mask rule she insists upon for others, claimed that she was a victim of a hair salon “set up,” (snip) Her worst act ever, though, could be her siding with the mob with the lie that the Louisville police involved with Breonna Taylor’s death are murderers.

Probably not. Just because they can no longer stomach the hypocrisy of the Left doesn’t mean walkaways are ready to rebrand as conservatives. At least not yet.Like the walkaways in the story, they only know that they can’t remain where they are.

When Hunter Biden took that $3.5 million in money transfers from Yelena Baturina, Russia's richest woman, the media lapsed into sudden incuriosity, very bizarre, given that it spent four years yelling about President Trump and his supposed "Russian collusion." Here was real Russian collusion and the blue-checks went blue-screen. If you suspect that Joe Biden is suffering from dementia and that the very common symptoms known as “sundowning” are part of his illness, then his “mystifying” campaign schedule starts to make sense. (snip) President Trump mocked Joe Biden on Thursday after the Democratic presidential nominee's campaign called a "lid" on activities for the day early in the morning (snip) The explanation that best satisfies the observable data is that Biden is systematically shifting his circadian rhythms, so that his body will behave as if it is 9 AM or so when the clock in Cleveland, where the debate will be held, reads 9 PM. It was already obvious comparing the two conventions: Even though the Democrats own the actors, they don’t own the true creative talent in Hollywood. That all seems to have crossed to the Republican side of the aisle. The Democrat convention was drab and oppressive; the Republican convention was bright and open. It’s the same thing with ads and memes. As far as I know, there are no incredible, knock-it-out of the park Democrat videos. The Republicans, though, are killing it. Here are four of the best.

The hard left magazine has discovered that federal law enforcement agencies (though not the FBI) have been tracing who the mobs in Portland have been communicating with. The apparent lead role in utilizing hi tech and classified electronic means is being played by The Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A), while the US Marshal’s Service is dispatching street level personnel. This bypasses the FBI, whose Director William Wray is on the record in sworn testimony, dismissing any such superstructure

The truth has finally emerged about Breonna Taylor’s death this past March. It turns out (surprise!) that the Democrat party – in Congress, in the media, and on the streets – has been lying. Taylor was not a complete innocent whom racist police slaughtered in her bed during a no-knock raid. Instead, she was the victim of her poor choices in men: Her friendship with a local drug kingpin justified the raid and her boyfriend’s decision to open fire on police who had knocked and identified themselves led to her shooting. That certainly doesn’t mean she deserved to die, but it explains why she did.

And the option to federalize the National Guard. Mafia intimidation and brownshirt street violence won’t be met with the same, but with the force of law and justice.
