Joe Biden’s ’lid’ must be
shifting his circadian rhythms
to overcome ‘sundowning’

If you suspect that Joe Biden is suffering from dementia and that the very common symptoms known as “sundowning” are part of his illness, then his “mystifying” campaign schedule starts to make sense. (snip) President Trump mocked Joe Biden on Thursday after the Democratic presidential nominee's campaign called a "lid" on activities for the day early in the morning (snip) The explanation that best satisfies the observable data is that Biden is systematically shifting his circadian rhythms, so that his body will behave as if it is 9 AM or so when the clock in Cleveland, where the debate will be held, reads 9 PM. I’ve done it myself

Makes sense. And it means Joe may actually show up to the debate if true. And, it also means that for the rest of the time leading up to the election Biden will be a basket case during daylight hours.

Interesting but is this really fessible? I remember my dad going through this. He still wasn't all " with it" even before the sundowning started. As bad as Biden is even when he is supposed to be on top of his game, the illness will leak through. And are they planning on doing this for every debate or will they claim Covid for the last 2 and just say "look he did one debate!!" and put him back in the basement. If we had a journalist in this country, they might come in handy right now.

Trump must be careful and respectful of Biden! Nobody wants to watch a baby seal get clubbed to death on live TV and what Trump could do to Biden would be much worse! Handle him with grace and humor Mr. President. Nail him when he attacks you a couple of times and he will crawl back into his shell and the debate will have been won! Biden will look and act terrible at some point. Drug tests please! I wouldn't be surprised if the wise Dr. has him smoking meth before going on stage! Now...which set of "mature people's underwear" do we use where the camera won't see it?

It is possible to reprogram your body clock (I do it before every overseas trip), but it is probably more challenging for someone with dementia who needs a reliable routine. Even at his morning events, Biden isn't all there, sometimes reading instructions off his teleprompter, spilling the beans about his list of approved "journalists," veering way of topic when attempting to answer the approved questions, botching the pledge of allegiance, and generally babbling word salad. We'll know if they're successful if he actually shows up for a debate. I still think there's only a 50/50 chance he will.

They can try for a short term, but I seriously doubt it will work in the long term. Dementia is a horrible disease, and once it starts, the progression can not be stopped. Maybe slowed down. I don't believe they can successfully trick the phenomena of sundowning either. As to Trump handling Biden, there is no hiding from reality of Biden's corruption. I suspect Trump will be a gentleman, but he isn't going to let Biden slide away from his record. Or his son's either. Biden has to be exposed, for the sick man that he is. And expose his handlers too. They all need to be prosecuted for elder abuse, for though I loathe Biden I do not wish this daily humiliation on him. Dignity is very important for somebody with dementia. Those handlers and his wife have stolen Biden's all in an effort to back door the worst candidate possible into the WH.

Too bad the debate isn't being held during daylight outdoors and a total eclipse of the sun occurs. Quid Pro Joe would curl up into a fetal positions. Hillary used to prepare for debates by drinking the blood of a virgin. When you got a son like Hunter you can get whatever drugs you need. When they get through shooting whatever into the Gray Groper he could win the Kentucky Derby.

3, Biden is no baby seal. I say club him with all you got, but do it in a way that is not bullying. Pepper Biden for things that would require detailed accounting of facts and figures. Make Joe defend his ridiculous claims about being near the top of his law class when in fact he was near the bottom. For the closing remarks, Trump could say something like "You know, I feel kind of bad being here tonight. Joe is obviously not the man he once was. I rarely agreed with him when he was in his prime, but now I feel it is my duty, born out of the need to protect the country I love, to point out the elephant, or rather the donkey... in the room. Joe Biden is not fit for the Presidency. Even if he stood for everything I stand for, he is still incapable of performing the rigorous duties the job of President requires. It's just that simple. People voiced concern when Ronald Reagan FIRST ran for President. They said he was too old. Reagan served two terms and then hit the twilight of dementia. Joe Biden is older today than Reagan was AFTER his two terms were completed. The bad politics of Joe in his prime, coupled with the effects of advanced again make Joe Biden a risk this nation cannot afford to take. It's time to take the keys away and tell Joe he cannot drive this nation over the precipice."

My mother's dementia was limited to sundowning. During the day she was pretty much all there, doing crossword puzzles and answering the majority of questions on Jeopardy. Between seven and eight pm all bets were off. She was "normal" on the face of it, she could still have a conversation and comment on whatever was on TV, but them she'd ask to be taken home, or want to know when her parents were arriving. I stopped telling her that her parents had died long ago, as her surprise and sadness at the news was heartbreaking. She had atrial fibrillation, as does Joe Biden. I was told that because of that she would have "mini-strokes" effecting the brain and were the cause of the dementia. She did not actually have Alzheimers just the damage caused by the strokes which started the sundowning, and that it was called sundowning, not because of her sleep pattern but because the sun actually went down and the change in light triggered it. A lot of people are effected by light and sleeping more during the day would not result in the person being "morning alert" in the evening.

They are desperate. Their candidate can only keep up the sham of normalcy for a few hours during a day. I doubt that Idiot Joe can withstand a debate with Trump. I have doubted that Biden would show, and I am still a bit skeptical that he will.

What the Democrats, the media, and especially his wife are doing by letting this sad charade continue is unconscionable. Everybody on both sides knows that Biden is in progressive dementia. And everybody knows that Trump is mentally sharper and has more sustained energy to do the demanding job of President. My sincere advice to President Trump is to not ridicule or appear to bully Joe no matter how tempting and how easy it would be to do so. Simply put forth his own truly substantive achievements, and let Joe ramble, babble, and stumble. The difference will be self-evident. Perhaps even show some empathy for Joe. It's not only the right thing to do, it will be completely unexpected and therefore even more effective.

If at some point Biden steps up with an attack about the fake comments about the soldiers or the Ukraine phone call that's what the President should be ready for. My mother died of complications related to Alzheimer's several years ago. Over a 10 year period our family witnessed her descend into the cognitive abyss that ended with her being unable to communicate, recognize her own family, or care for her personal hygiene needs. Early in her disease my dear mother exhibited the same signs of cognitive impairment that Joe Biden is exhibiting now. The most telling sign was the distant look in her eyes and her inability to carry on a meaningful conversation. Check out Joe's eyes closely. His "gaffes" seem to be a daily occurance. Mom became frustrated when words or phrases escaped her, and her mood changed later in the day of when she got tired. The doctors told us this known as the "Sundowner Effect". For the life of me I cannot understand why Biden's wife Jill is allowing her husband to continue on with this charade. No loving spouse would do such an abhorrent thing. I'm no fan of Joe Biden but what his wife and the Democrat party is doing to this man is unconscionable.

Even in a profession known for phoniness, Kamala Harris stands out as remarkably fake. We expect politicians to lie — "what a beautiful baby!" — but we also expect them to be reasonably skilled at it. The truth has finally emerged about Breonna Taylor’s death this past March. It turns out (surprise!) that the Democrat party – in Congress, in the media, and on the streets – has been lying. Taylor was not a complete innocent whom racist police slaughtered in her bed during a no-knock raid. Instead, she was the victim of her poor choices in men: Her friendship with a local drug kingpin justified the raid and her boyfriend’s decision to open fire on police who had knocked and identified themselves led to her shooting. That certainly doesn’t mean she deserved to die, but it explains why she did.
