Biden's low-key campaign

WILMINGTON, Del. — The final stretch of a presidential campaign is typically a nonstop mix of travel, caffeine and adrenaline. But as the worst pandemic in a century bears down on the United States, Joe Biden is taking a lower key approach. Since his Aug. 11 selection of California Sen. Kamala Harris as his running mate, Biden has had 22 days where he either didn’t make public appearances, held only virtual fundraisers or ventured from his Delaware home solely for church, according to an Associated Press analysis of his schedules. He made 12 visits outside of Delaware during that period

Comments:

At least one Democrat office holder is ridiculing Old Joe's strategy. And voters too - only 16 people attended his recent North Carolina event.

It seems the AssPress didn't mention in the article that Bidens handlers are TERRIFIED to put that mumbling loon out in front of the public. I know that the odds of someone in the so-called ''media'' asking a REAL question are about a million to one, but someone should do it just for laughs.

Hey, Joe is doing the best he can! Remember, he is getting old. And forgetful. And senile. Just wait until he finishes his nap. Then you will see some action! From what I have seen, the only important thing for his voters is that "D" after his name. They don't even care that his running mate is a sl*t.

Low-key is deliberate. Biden is not running a campaign at all. Someone is propping him up when necessary, but that is becoming harder to do. He is lucky in that he knows that the press will be on his side. His anemic, limping campaign will be described as cautious, in view of the virus. It will never be said that he is a broken-down, tired old man who is completely lacking in the stamina needed to lead our country.

I believe that they are adjusting Biden's sleep schedule so that he wakes up at 7:00 PM. That way he can make it through the debate Tuesday. That would explain all the 9:00 AM lids.

Less than six weeks before the election, one of the most profound disappointments among some of Joe Biden’s supporters is that he doesn’t even seem to be trying. If some Democrats are correct, crushing “The Donald” should have been easy. After all (according to them), President Trump is an impeached, sex-offending, tax-evading, white supremacist, coronavirus-mismanaging, sexist, racist, Islamophobic, homophobic, misogynistic, sexist liar who is wildly unpopular. And Biden has long showed a hefty advantage in the polls. If all of that’s true, then Biden need do little more than show up, and winning should be a piece of cake

As Democratic senators begin mapping out how they will wield their limited procedural weapons in the fight over President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, they are grappling with a central question: How much legitimacy do they give his candidate? With little power to actually derail Trump’s pick, Democrats are coming under considerable pressure from their activist base to use every tactic at their disposal to not just throw sand in the gears of the confirmation fight, but to portray the consideration of expected nominee Amy Coney Barrett as a farce that shouldn’t even occur. In a sense, they are playing the

If calling a “lid" enters the mainstream American lexicon, this will be the week it all started. Joe Biden called a lid — the arcane term reporters use when a politician is done traveling for the day — at 1:02 p.m. Friday; 9:20 a.m. Thursday; 9:22 a.m. Tuesday and 8:34 a.m. Saturday. Biden’s early turn-ins provoked the Twitter set, professionally nervous Democrats (OK, bedwetters) and, notably, Donald Trump to scratch their heads or rain down ridicule. “Did you see he did a ‘lid’ this morning again?” Trump asked Thursday evening in Jacksonville, Fla., pausing to offer a definition for the
