A group of demonstrators on Thursday hung blow dyers and curlers on a tree outside House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) San Francisco residence after the top congressional Democrat was caught violating coronavirus lockdown restrictions in her home city to get her hair done without a mask. The demonstrators, who appeared to all be women, branded themselves as “angry salon customers” who want to get their hair done. (Tweets/Videos) Another video shows the women forming a hand-holding circle around the tree with hair appliances. Next, the women can be seen draping an American flag over a part of the tree, which they reportedly named the “Freedom Tree.”

Writing at the Atlantic, Jeffrey Goldberg has published a claim which he says is backed up by several people who were there as part of Trump’s 2018 trip to Paris, though none of them are named in his story. When President Donald Trump canceled a visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris in 2018, he blamed rain for the last-minute decision, saying that “the helicopter couldn’t fly” and that the Secret Service wouldn’t drive him there. Neither claim was true.
Trump rejected the idea of the visit because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain, and because he did not believe

“And virtually half his people who died were in nursing homes.”

One person they couldn’t have (and likely wouldn’t have had, in any circumstance) was acclaimed actor Chad Boseman, 43, who succumbed last week to cancer. Coverage of Joseph Kennedy III’s failed primary challenge to Senator Ed Markey has sometimes focused on its ideological implications, particularly Markey’s successful effort to position himself as a progressive champion fighting the ultimate beneficiary of name-brand privilege. But to a far greater extent, young Joe’s loss has been described as signaling the end of the family dynasty he often seemed uncomfortable representing. That feels unfair, since the Kennedy clan’s reputation for political invincibility began to slowly unravel many years ago.
It’s true that Joe III’s campaign broke a long Kennedy winning streak in Massachusetts, as the Boston Globe noted:

After the convention closed, a cluster of those who ran two losing presidential campaigns and barely won two others, leaving President Barack Obama as their legacy, were racing into the arms of — Joe Biden. Here’s the headline from The Daily Caller News Foundation:

Her argument reprises some of the arguments she made in King County Superior Court, where a judge ruled that the recall effort could move forward, but also adds some new ones. “Following the most widespread civil unrest Seattle has seen in decades, Petitioners submitted,

Those worried about the future of television can rest easy, because Harry and Meghan are here to save it. We’re referring, of course, to news that the Blighty-abandoning Sussexes have signed a megabucks production deal to make TV shows for the world’s biggest streaming service, some of which they may even appear in. Forget Netflix and chill. This is Megxit and shill.
The controversial royal couple have founded an as-yet-unnamed production company and signed a multi-year contract to make documentaries, children's programmes, scripted dramas and more. Yes, this is television by Royal Appointment. Harry’s TV Burp and Meghan Behaving Badly, anyone?

Covid19 has already passed through all 50 states as a single major contagious wave in each state. There were 33 early states where the epidemic was over by June, and 14 late states where the epidemic now is ending.
Every week in America about 51,000 people die from all causes. This number rises and falls during the winter due to flu-like illnesses and goes back to baseline in the summer. No one panics about it, and most people don’t even realize that it happens. This year was worse than normal, but we’ve almost returned to baseline.

O'Keefe was in the middle of rolling out his "Rigging the Election" series of undercover videos.
A few days earlier, O'Keefe had released as part of the series a video recorded by the irrepressible Laura Loomer. Laura was twenty-three at the time. If there is a ballsier journalist/activist in America, I have not met him.

The Mojave Desert had cast its spell over "Mad Mike" Hughes the night he thought to fly to the edge of space. It’s no wonder why. The sky is fall-over-backwards big, wrapping around you in a way that hints at infinite possibilities. After buttery sunsets fade into glowing orange then purple light, the heavens do their high-wattage flexing. Maybe this struck him as an invitation, and maybe that celestial pull was amplified by the proximity to Hollywood, where his fantasies of fame could be spun up into life. It was some intermingling of these elements that brought Hughes and his friend Waldo Stakes

The Democrats have a nasty habit of choosing as martyrs some highly unpleasant people. (snip) Now it emerges that Jacob Blake, Sr., the man who raised such a violent son, has some ugly ideas about Jews. This is going to be a problem for Joe Biden who has finally decided to visit Kenosha, the place where Jacob Blake got shot and where Antifa and Black Lives Matter tried to burn an American town to the ground.
While still in his hidey-hole in Wilmington, Biden has already taken sides, and he’s not on the side of law and order.

The protests that sprang up in the wake of George Floyd’s killing in Minneapolis seemed like spontaneous outpourings of grief and anger. They weren’t entirely. Though many who joined their ranks may have been moved by outrage at the images of Floyd’s death, those operating behind the scenes have prepared for this moment for a long time.
Indeed, the leaders of the Black Lives Matter organizations fueling this summer’s disturbances were trained by self-described Marxist revolutionaries who have long used the plight of black Americans as justification for overthrowing America’s constitutional order. They frankly admit that such “organizing” is the key to their goal of world revolution.

Nancy Pelosi is one of the -- if not the -- smartest political strategists in the Democratic Party. As such, she knows that appearances matter in politics. A lot. Which is why her decision to have her hair done indoors at a shop in San Francisco makes so little sense.
In security footage obtained by Fox News, Pelosi is shown inside the salon without a mask. Fox also reported that the owner of the salon, Erica Kious, was angry that Pelosi had been allowed to violate the rules put in place during the coronavirus pandemic that mandates haircuts can only be given outside.

You can understand why Democrats didn’t want President Donald Trump to visit Kenosha to respond to last week’s mob violence, looting and arson.
They’re embarrassed. They’re worried about the election in a few months. It’s getting close, and Democrat Joe Biden’s lead in key Midwestern swing states is shrinking.
Trump is trying to take advantage of their weakness. He’s the president. He’s in a campaign. And if he had not visited Kenosha, he’d be guilty of political malpractice.

The Democratic Party and its communications office have been telling the country for some time now that night is day and up is down. But, with the election two months away, the psychological manipulation of the American voter has accelerated.
As we’ve written the past two days, Joe Biden has condemned the riots that have been wrecking cities and killing people since the May 25 death of George Floyd. We’re glad he finally got around to it. Yet he and his party are acting as if they’ve opposed the violence all along and it’s President Donald Trump who has failed

The public has been subjected to coronavirus lockdowns of varying degrees for over five months and counting, but prominent Democrats have decided that they should be exempt from the restrictions everyone else must abide by.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi openly flouted these restrictions recently when she got her hair coiffed at a San Francisco salon that remains closed to the public. Local ordinances only allow for outdoor services, and Pelosi was captured on security video not wearing a mask. Despite the evidence, her spokesman declared that the speaker “always wears a mask and complies with local COVID requirements.”

Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden has sat silent while roving bands of outlaws tore American cities to shreds. He said nothing when an Antifa leader in Portland called for “the abolition of the United States as we know it.” His own vice-presidential pick, Kamala Harris, grinned as she warned that the riots are “not gonna stop. And they should not.”
Until about five minutes ago, Harris and Biden thought they could use the Marxist revolutionaries of BLM and Antifa as their own pet militia. They thought that once the brownshirts had made a hellscape of America, they could come sailing in to convince voters

A new Hill-HarrisX poll conducted last week found support for Trump among Hispanic voters growing by 2 points, from 30% in the last poll to 32%. After the 2016 election, The Atlantic noticed exit polls analyzed by the Pew Research Center showed that 28% of Latino voters supported Trump, and that figure had risen to 30% support as of February.

On Wednesday, Attorney General William Barr directly contradicted the idea that there is “systemic racism” among police departments and in America’s justice system. He admitted that some police may be racist but insisted that America’s systems are have been reformed in order to combat racism. While the attorney general said some further reform is still necessary, he firmly rejected the notion of “systemic racism.”
CNN’s Wolf Blitzer asked Barr whether there are “two justice systems” for white and black Americans.

We now know who will moderate the three scheduled presidential debates. Chris Wallace of Fox News will moderate the first one, on September 29. Steve Scully of C-SPAN will moderate the second, on October 15. Kristen Welker of NBC News will moderate the third, on October 22.
There will be one vice presidential debate. It will take place on October 7, with Susan Page of USA Today as the moderator.
Wallace, we know, will be tough on both candidates. I don’t think either one can expect to gain an edge by virtue of his presence.

Prompted by his pollsters, Joe Biden this week delivered a speech in Pittsburgh condemning the violence across America’s cities. The speech was laced with lies, starting with the claim that he is a racial healer. Anyone inclined to believe that should look back at the Obama-Biden administration, which was defined by race-baiting and the deterioration of race relations.
Biden in effect promised that the revolution underway in America would stop if he is elected president. Never mind that he plans on bringing the revolutionaries into his administration. Should he win, he will give key positions to radicals who want to spur, not stop, the revolution.

It’s hard not to relish in the schadenfreude of Nancy Pelosi being caught on security camera, with wet hair, bare feet and no mask, indulging in an illicit private hair-salon experience in San Francisco.
She violated coronavirus health rules by the city, which has ordered salons shut since March. The day after her Monday visit, they were allowed to open, for outdoor services only, but no blowouts, and masks are mandatory. So, Speaker Pelosi violated at least three rules.
But such is her sense of entitlement that she refuses to apologize,

On Monday, the Democrat party released Joe Biden from the basement, hustled him up to Pittsburgh, had him read a Teleprompter, waved farewell to journalists who weren't allowed to speak, and tucked him up again in his basement bed. The speech that Biden read was, quite possibly, the most dishonest speech ever given during an American political campaign. A conservative Christian website put together a video pushing back against Biden's lies, and that video has rightly gone viral.
Just to recap, on May 25, 2020, police officers in Minneapolis caught up with George Floyd, whom a storekeeper had accused of passing counterfeit bills.

On Monday, Joe Biden looked at the camera and said something like this: "Do I look like a guy who supports lawlessness"?
Frankly, he doesn't. What he looks like is: a man who has said nothing since the riots started and then suddenly decided to talk about because the polls are changing.
Some in the media are claiming that this is "Joe's Sister Whatever" moment. He finally stood up to the violent mob or something like that.
In fact, Biden looked awful, as Eddie Scarry wrote:
After three months of violence, vandalism, and arson in our biggest cities, all of it excused and encouraged by Democrats,
