Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan filed a petition Monday asking the state Supreme Court to block an effort to recall her, arguing that the push is based on a policy disagreement and is vague about what she should have done differently in her handling of widespread protests in June.In appealing her case to the state Supreme Court, Durkan argued that she hadn’t violated any law or standard. Her argument reprises some of the arguments she made in King County Superior Court, where a judge ruled that the recall effort could move forward, but also adds some new ones. “Following the most widespread civil unrest Seattle has seen in decades, Petitioners submitted,

Yet again, a democrat wants unfettered free rein to commit acts of tyranny. Her actions here are voter suppression at its finest. She is destroying her city, and people are fed up. But will the judges stand by the fed up masses? Who knows.

Democrats hate letting the people decide. Democrats are anything but democratic. They are certainly not liberal and there is nothing progressive about their policies. They are fascists. They are socialists. And they will tolerate democracy only if they get to count the votes.

This woman is seriously asking the DOJ to prevent the voters from ousting her claiming it will ‘chill her discretionary authority’. That is the goal.

Her basic argument is that she cannot be recalled for being a spineless incompetent Marxist sympathizer. The people need a real reason. Priceless!

Remember what Kurt Schlicter wrote not too long ago: JUST SAY NO.
Employ the word 'No.' Frequently. Emphatically. With deadly seriousness.
NO.
Let the babies roll on the floor in their tantrums. Point and laugh. Then tell them NO, again.
So sick of these women who feel so entitled. NO, your Tee and Ay do NOT absolve you of responsibility. NO, your gender is NOT better than men. NO, women should NEVER become the only ones to "rule the world." You want equality, women? Acknowledge that you are JUST as bad and evil as men. You DO do everything men do, and should be judged for it.

She failed at the most fundamental responsibility of local government: public safety. Recall the bum!

Policy is a prime reason to recall a mayor. Policies that harm the citizens must be revised or eliminated. When such policies are intentionally maintained,, enabling harm to the citizens, recall is not only justified, but demanded!
Perhaps Durkan's list of allowable reasons for a recall needs to be updated!

Her attorneys said allowing the recall to proceed, would “chill the discretionary authority of public officials across the political spectrum.”
Exactly!!!!! Thats the point!!! Discretionary authority doesnt give one license to disregard the safety or general welfare of the city, state, county that you govern. If the citizens have no recourse, then elected officials are free to do whatever they want regardless the wants, needs or opinions of the taxpayers who fund their salaries.
Clearly, her "honor" isnt confident that she can prevail AGAINST the voters and is seeking a judge to silence the voters.
Lady.....this IS democracy in action. Something every liberal claims is a sacrament, until it turns against them

what does the city Charter say about recall elections? what does the state constitution say about recalls/ Is Seattle a home rule city?
Should the Washington Supreme Court be involved, other than to authenticate the signatures on the recall petition?
And, most importantly, can we say the promised summer of love did not take place?

Recall ???
She'll be lucky if her summer of love doesn't land her in the middle of criminally negligent manslaughter and the civil lawsuits that go with it. Time for a vacation in Rio Jenny.

The sooner the people of Seattle toss out this piece of thrash the better. Then maybe people will feel safe enough to visit Seattle without fear of getting mugged by some Antifa thug of BLM sympathizer.
