In Washington, D.C. a new triumphal arch may be built across the Potomac River in Arlington, Virginia, to commemorate the country’s 250th anniversary. The proposal by architecture firm Harrison Design appears to be the same height—if not taller than—the Lincoln Memorial, which it would face. News of the arch circulated yesterday after Jim Watson photographed 3D-printed scale models of Harrison Design’s proposal at a meeting in the Oval Office between President Trump and Finnish Prime Minister Alexander Stubb. Reporting in The Washington Post said Justin Shubow, president of the National Civic Art Society, presented the idea to Trump earlier this year.

Democrats aren't even hiding it anymore.
They're openly threatening to weaponize the government against Donald Trump and anyone who dares stand with him if they manage to claw their way back into power next year. This isn't speculation or paranoia. They're saying the quiet part out loud, and we'd better start taking them seriously.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries just laid it all out there during an MSNBC interview while reacting to the indictment of New York Attorney General Letitia James by a grand jury on mortgage fraud charges. His message: if Democrats win the midterm elections, Trump and his allies are in their crosshairs,

This is sure to make you think twice before you merge onto the interstate anytime soon.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said it has arrested in Oklahoma an illegal immigrant named Anmol Anmol, who was driving a tractor trailer with a New York State-issued commercial driver’s license (CDL). While the license appears to have an actual photo of the driver, the name section just says “Anmol No Name Given.”
That’s right. To get his CDL to operate an 18-wheeler, he either couldn’t give his name due to the language barrier or he refused to give his name.

The participation of these public officials is troubling. SFMF has, in consecutive years, organized pro-Hamas conferences that glorified the perpetrators of the October 7

New York Attorney General Letitia James, long known for her partisan crusade against Donald Trump, has now hired one of Washington’s most notorious Democratic fixers to defend her from criminal charges of her own. James has hired Abbe Lowell — the same high-powered D.C. attorney who represented Hunter Biden — to fight off a federal indictment accusing her of mortgage fraud.
According to the indictment, James falsified loan documents when she bought a home in Virginia, netting approximately $19,000 in savings.
Lowell issued a brief statement Thursday, declaring that his client “flatly and forcefully denies these charges.”

Donald Trump began his promised mass purge of federal workers Friday, as more than 4,100 people were laid off as the government shutdown rolls on. The president previewed the pink slips in a press conference in the Oval Office earlier Friday, blaming them and the shutdown on the Democrats. 'It'll be a lot and it'll be Democrat-oriented because we figure they started this thing. It'll be a lot of people, all because of the Democrats,' Trump said.
It's the biggest set of firings in government since Elon Musk's DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) purge early in Trump's second term. The White House budget office said Friday that mass firings

The Trump administration’s approval of a Qatari air force base in Idaho isn’t popular with either of America’s political parties.
Department of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced the forthcoming Qatari Emiri Air Force facility in America’s heartland Friday morning, thanking the Middle Eastern nation for playing a “core part” in negotiating the ceasefire between Israel and Palestine. Mountain Home Air Force Base will host Qatari F-15 fighter jets and pilots, and allow Qatari forces alongside American troops for F-15 pilot training. The move, which stands in stark contrast to the president’s “America first” agenda, seriously rattled some of Donald Trump’s most outspoken supporters.

Let’s not forget how the Letitia James drama started…
Letitia James built her entire career on one promise: to take down President Donald Trump. (snip)Our friends at The Gateway Pundit have done a meticulous deep-dive investigation into Letitia’s financial dealings, and it’s far worse than most people realize. This isn’t some silly oversight or one bad mortgage… not even close. It’s a long-running pattern of deception spanning two states, many properties, and decades of lies.

Like the fictional Captain Ahab in Herman Melville’s Moby Dick, New York Attorney General Letitia James had one overriding goal: to destroy the great white creature known as President Donald Trump. And like Ahab, she thought at one point she had succeeded. But if James had been better read, she might have known that she was going to destroy herself and her ship, while “Moby” Trump happily swam off into the sunset. Letitia James ran to become New York State’s attorney general on a single issue: she would destroy Donald Trump.

The indefatigable Trump team looks to have achieved the impossible. They secured the support of a diverse and conflicted world for a peace plan in Gaza, they persuaded the parties who mutually hate one another to accept it, and they got it signed.
All remaining hostages are being released by Hamas, the Israelis are freeing over 1,000 terrorists and prisoners of war, and Israel has commenced a cease fire and partial withdrawal from Gaza.
People are jubilant – in both Israel and Gaza. How many wars end with jubilation on both sides?

The Pennsylvania Department of State, continuing to defy common sense, is back in court defending its illogical 2018 directive instructing county election boards not to bother verifying mismatched identification at voter registration.
Wannabe voters in Pennsylvania must provide either a driver’s license or a Social Security number when registering to vote. The federal Help America Vote Act, HAVA, requires county election officials to collect these identifying numbers and compare them with government databases. Traditionally in Pennsylvania, when the numbers didn’t match, it meant the voter’s identity could not be verified and the voter registration request was denied.

A Virginia grand jury indicted New York Attorney General Letitia James on Thursday, according to reports.
A jury of her peers in the Eastern District of Virginia made the decision to indicte James, and while the details of James’ indictment were not immediately available, Reuters reported James was indicted for bank fraud, citing a source familiar with the matter.Notably, James was hit with a criminal referral just recently for alleged mortgage fraud.
James allegedly misrepresented property details to secure favorable loan terms — the same thing she took Trump through the wringer for just last year.

Virginia Democrat gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger was given the chance to withdraw her endorsement of Democrat Attorney General candidate Jay Jones over his fantasies about assassinating a Republican lawmaker — and on multiple occasions, she refused to do so.
The moment came Thursday night during the commonwealth’s only gubernatorial debate between Spanberger and GOP Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears. The discussion quickly broached the reported past text messages by Jones, in which he mused about assassinating then-Republican State House Speaker Todd Gilbert and wished death upon his children.

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump said Friday that “there seems to be no reason” to meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping as part of an upcoming trip to South Korea after China restricted exports of rare earths needed for American industry.
The Republican president suggested that he was looking at a “massive increase” of import taxes on Chinese products in response to Xi’s moves.
“One of the Policies that we are calculating at this moment is a massive increase of Tariffs on Chinese products coming into the United States of America,” Trump posted on his Truth Social platform. “There are many other countermeasures that are, likewise, under serious consideration.”

The cost for that Disney magic is going up. Walt Disney World has confirmed that it is raising prices on its theme park tickets, annual passes, and on some annual pass renewals.
Disney World previously implemented "dynamic pricing," which means daily tickets to its theme parks vary by theme park, day, and demand. That will continue. Beginning during the 2026 holiday season, Disney confirmed that the highest ticket price point – only on its busiest days – could top $200 per person for a one-park, one-day ticket.

October is a month for political surprises, it’s been said. But one turn of events this month was not the least bit shocking. We’ve been following the flameout of the electric vehicle for years. It was quite predictable.
Up until Oct. 1, Americans could reel in generous federal subsidies in exchange for buying an electric vehicle. A new EV or plug-in hybrid pulled down a $7,500 tax credit. A used EV or plug-in got $4,000. Now those subsidies are gone, thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill signed by President Donald Trump on July 4, and EV sales are expected

In yesterday’s Breitbart Business Digest, we examined a new working paper from Jared Bernstein and Daniel Posthumus that documented the decline of U.S. manufacturing employment, particularly the devastating 2000-2010 “China Shock” period when 5.7 million factory jobs disappeared.
While the authors called this period “destructive” and urged preventing future shocks, they insisted that “sweeping” tariffs were not the right policy. Their reasoning was undermined by a significant contradiction: they claim tariffs would disrupt American manufacturing because we’re too dependent on foreign inputs, yet they simultaneously advocate for subsidies for sectors vulnerable to foreign export controls.

Los Angeles firefighters did not use thermal imaging technology to detect lingering embers underground after a New Year’s Day fire in Pacific Palisades that flared up days later to become one of the most destructive infernos in the city’s history. Interim Fire Chief Ronnie Villanueva said in an interview Wednesday that fire officials decided against employing the technology, which would have pinpointed heat underground, because of the fire’s eight-acre size. In the 36-plus hours that crews spent mopping up, firefighters “cold trailed” the perimeter, chopping a line around the fire and feeling for residual heat. The Washington Post, even after owner Jeff Bezos's shakeups, is anything but a publication friendly to Republicans or the Trump administration. But even members of the legacy media sometimes have to admit the obvious.
One of those is Washington Post Marc A. Thiessen, who on Thursday penned a piece making the case for President Trump being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. This isn't a new notion; the idea's been kicked around before. But the calls seem to be getting louder.
Not only does Donald Trump deserve the Nobel Peace Prize, but there has arguably never been an American president who deserved it more.
