The Trump administration’s approval of a Qatari air force base in Idaho isn’t popular with either of America’s political parties.
Department of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced the forthcoming Qatari Emiri Air Force facility in America’s heartland Friday morning, thanking the Middle Eastern nation for playing a “core part” in negotiating the ceasefire between Israel and Palestine. Mountain Home Air Force Base will host Qatari F-15 fighter jets and pilots, and allow Qatari forces alongside American troops for F-15 pilot training. The move, which stands in stark contrast to the president’s “America first” agenda, seriously rattled some of Donald Trump’s most outspoken supporters.

The committee chose to focus on Venezuela in a year where U.S. President Donald Trump featured heavily in speculation as to the overall winner, given his unceasing efforts to bring peace to a variety of conflicts around the world.
Trump said previously it would be an “insult” to the United States if he did not win the Nobel Peace Prize and he has been backed in his quest by a host of other nations, as Breitbart News reported.
“She is receiving the Nobel Peace Prize for her tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela, and for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy,”

Former President Barack Obama on Thursday hailed the Gaza cease-fire deal brokered by President Trump – but failed to mention the commander in chief’s name.
The glaring omission of “Trump” in Obama’s social media post celebrating that the “end to the conflict is within sight” outraged administration officials, the president’s supporters and members of his family on X.
“After two years of unimaginable loss and suffering for Israeli families and the people of Gaza, we should all be encouraged and relieved that an end to the conflict is within sight; that those hostages still being held will be reunited with their families;

When Jarred Shaw, an American basketball player in Indonesia, stepped down to the lobby in his apartment complex earlier this year to collect a package containing illegally imported cannabis gummies, he thought that the medicine to ease his Crohn’s disease had arrived.
It had – but so too had 10 undercover police officers. A video on social media shows Shaw, wearing a black T-shirt and shorts, shouting for help as the swarm of officers move to apprehend him.
The 35-year-old from Dallas, Texas, is facing the possibility of the death penalty or a long spell behind bars. He was a key member of Prawira Bandung, who won the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL)

Democrats aren't even hiding it anymore.
They're openly threatening to weaponize the government against Donald Trump and anyone who dares stand with him if they manage to claw their way back into power next year. This isn't speculation or paranoia. They're saying the quiet part out loud, and we'd better start taking them seriously.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries just laid it all out there during an MSNBC interview while reacting to the indictment of New York Attorney General Letitia James by a grand jury on mortgage fraud charges. His message: if Democrats win the midterm elections, Trump and his allies are in their crosshairs,

Donald Trump began his promised mass purge of federal workers Friday, as more than 4,100 people were laid off as the government shutdown rolls on. The president previewed the pink slips in a press conference in the Oval Office earlier Friday, blaming them and the shutdown on the Democrats. 'It'll be a lot and it'll be Democrat-oriented because we figure they started this thing. It'll be a lot of people, all because of the Democrats,' Trump said.
It's the biggest set of firings in government since Elon Musk's DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) purge early in Trump's second term. The White House budget office said Friday that mass firings

Let’s not forget how the Letitia James drama started…
Letitia James built her entire career on one promise: to take down President Donald Trump. (snip)Our friends at The Gateway Pundit have done a meticulous deep-dive investigation into Letitia’s financial dealings, and it’s far worse than most people realize. This isn’t some silly oversight or one bad mortgage… not even close. It’s a long-running pattern of deception spanning two states, many properties, and decades of lies.

The cost for that Disney magic is going up. Walt Disney World has confirmed that it is raising prices on its theme park tickets, annual passes, and on some annual pass renewals.
Disney World previously implemented "dynamic pricing," which means daily tickets to its theme parks vary by theme park, day, and demand. That will continue. Beginning during the 2026 holiday season, Disney confirmed that the highest ticket price point – only on its busiest days – could top $200 per person for a one-park, one-day ticket.

An activist and self-described 2028 presidential candidate is offering free homes for his allies to move to a GOP-leaning Texas county and change its electoral makeup to support — as he puts it — “melanated people” like himself.
Malcolm Tanner has declared his plans to radically change the government of Loving County by the 2026 midterm elections in social media posts first reported by The Houston Chronicle. Tanner promises to root out “corruption” in the oil-rich, majority-white county on behalf of his group, Melanated People of Power.

The Republican Party of Shelby County called for the resignation of General Sessions Court Clerk Tami Sawyer after police body-worn camera video was released, appearing to show Sawyer engaged in a profane and racially motivated rant against law enforcement.
In a press release posted to X on Thursday, the party wrote that it “unequivocally condemns the racist attacks” by the clerk, which the party noted were directed at members of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
Video posted to social media by State Senator Brent Taylor (R-Memphis) appears to show Sawyer engaged in a profane argument with police

If we want to humiliate a party stupidly expressing its disapproval of us, we can take a lesson from J.K. Rowling. The Vancouver Parks and Recreation board voted unanimously to apologize for the Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience event set to open on November 7 in Vancouver’s Stanley Park after hearing from members of Vancouver’s 2SLGBTQ+ Advisory Committee.
In the X post below, Ms. Rowling advises the board how to ratchet up the pain. The upshot of her advice is that she could not care less, and yet she has delivered her message with a wit that probably exceeds the board’s capacity for comprehension. The Vancouver Sun helpfully

The Israeli government published a list of the convicted Palestinian terrorists it agreed to release as part of the ceasefire-and-hostage deal that took effect Friday — and it includes murderers with shocking records. The list, published the morning after the cabinet approved the US-backed ceasefire deal, includes members of the Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Fatah and the Popular Front terror groups, responsible for dozens of deadly terror attacks, but does not include some key terror chiefs Hamas has demanded, including popular Fatah figure Marwan Barghouti.
