Oil giant Shell USA is the latest corporation to be held accountable for the racial discrimination that has been a hallmark of the DEI era, and is facing a lawsuit over an alleged purge of white employees.
A lawsuit was filed this week in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas on behalf of two former workers who say they were fired from their longtime jobs and replaced with less qualified employees as part of a “racially discriminatory reorganization that targeted white employees.”

Shell stations are always priced higher in Texas, so most people already drive past them. Shell sells oil and gas, but pretends to embrace green energy, carbon recapture, and leftist nonsense that raises their prices. As for white people, whites have not been promoted or given raises in years due to the DEI, CRT, HR quotas. The workforce composition has changed with those that can leaving the corporate culture to become consultants that are hired by the corporations to clean up the mess. Others are becoming independent businesses, electricians, plumbers, and entering other professions. Now, DEI has entered and is destroying the professions.

I can see how Shell could think this is acceptable because most levels of government have been doing the same for years and companies had to do it in order to do business with the Biden government.

Those tear jars are now evidence. The plaintiffs should nail Shell (and the person who presented them) to the wall.

Shell and Chevron are so expensive. At least 40 cents per gallon than the affordable cheap seats.

I generally use Costco gas, but when I'm on the road, it's usually Shell. They seem to be the lowest price "premium" grade around.
I'm sorry to hear Shell has gone "woke". That was very blatant discrimination, so the plaintiffs should easily get relief, and Shell having to reform its ways.

I used to look for a Shell station, because they were a big employer in my home town. No more!!!

Fun at Shell's expense.. Punch this into an el cheapo four-function calculator. 142 Israelis (punch in 142) fought 154 Arabs (punch in 154) over 69 oil wells (punch in 69) for 5 years (multiply by 5). For the result, turn the calculator upside down.

"SHELL OIL" I showed my dad that math exercise on the calculator back in the early 70s, but back then, the accompanying narrative was about the gas shortages.

We usually buy our gas and diesel at Sam's Club. No idea who supplies Sam's. Hopefully not Shell. Yeah, #12, I like that math exercise, too. Saw it during my college days and it still makes me laugb.

Some fool...just graduated from business school...and convinced the big wigs that he/she could save them money by firing these long time employees and hiring illegal aliens in their place...big mistake....and they'll have to settle quickly ...or they'll become budd lite and Cracker Barrel....and let's not forget Target...it's been 10 years that I haven't been in a Target store....and no Ben Jerry's ice cream .....

DEI is the most recent reincarnation of the EEO quota system used to justify reverse discrimination. It trashes any consideration of merit or ability to impose highering of less qualified minorities by discrimination against whites and orientals.

When I saw this headline I thought it was satire. Instead it’s true and just unbelievable. I wouldn’t just sue Shell for millions. I would personally sue whoever thought the tear jars were a cute idea.

My local shell station is a franchise owned by an immigrant Indian family with American born children. Ive been going there for 25 years and will continue to do so. Not to support shell, but to support that family. When I'm on the road, I'm not picky.

Bad enough the plaintiffs lost their jobs based upon their skin color. But receiving the "tears jar" was a gratuitous twisting of the knife. So glad these types of DEI abuses and abusers are being exposed.

To be fair, most large energy companies are accustomed to caving to government pressure and are forced to embrace policies that they wouldn't pick for themselves. They owe their existence to good relations with regulators, especially the monopolistic and heavily regulated utilities. Oil companies didn't ask for ethanol mandates either, and they know the science and economics are complete BS, but when the mandates were inevitable they adapted and figured out how to make money in spite of it. Dems have been pushing racial quotas for a lot longer than the DEI wet dream was a thing, and are really good at camouflaging the policies that lead to the desired result. It's a "tell me you're a racist without telling me you're a racist" kind of thing. Oil companies (and conventional electric utilities) are not automatically the bad guys.

They want more blacks running the company. Have they ever seen what happens to cities and countries run by blacks?
