On Wednesday morning, ICE agents raided a home in San Diego to apprehend a thrice-deported illegal alien who is also a convicted pedophile and known gang member. Unlike your garden-variety pedophile gang member, this creep's home was also the location of his wife's home day care operation. And his wife, Dulce Villagomez, is a SEIU activist, proudly working alongside California Gov. Gavin Newsom for the unionization of day care workers.
This picture, and the backstory, perfectly encapsulate the relationship between California Democrats like Gavin Newsom, activist organizations like SEIU (let's be real; its purpose is no-borders socialism, not representing workers), gangs, and criminal illegal aliens.

A US guided-missile cruiser was spotted crossing the Panama Canal as part of a build-up of ships near Venezuela — as administration gave a dire prediction about the country’s dictator Nicolás Maduro.
The USS Lake Eerie crossed the Panama Canal from the Pacific Ocean to the Caribbean Sea Friday night — over a week after President Trump directed at least eight Navy warships to the region in a bid to counter narco-terrorists in South America.
The move is also in part meant to ramp-up the pressure on the far-left Maduro, whom the United States views as an illegitimate leader following two bogus elections, sources close to the administration told The Post.

A federal judge has ordered an emergency halt to a plan by the Trump administration to send more than 600 unaccompanied Guatemalan children back to their home country — some within a matter of hours — after immigrant advocacy groups sued, calling the unannounced plan illegal.
U.S. District Judge Sparkle Sooknanan issued the order just after 4 a.m. Sunday, finding that the “exigent circumstances” described in the lawsuit warranted immediate action “to maintain the status quo until a hearing can be set.”

Republican Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa is not running for reelection to a third term in the 2026 midterms, according to reports.
Multiple sources close to the 55-year-old senator told CBS News about her decision, which is expected to be officially announced on Sept. 4.
Ernst's decision to retire, which had been rumored for months, will create an open seat in the heavily Republican-leaning state.
Ernst succeeded longtime Democratic Sen. Tom Harkin and gained fame with her anti-pork barrel spending slogan: “Make ‘em squeal.”
Ernst and Sen. Chuck Grassley hold Iowa's Senate seats, while all four of the state's congressional districts are also held by Republicans.

The Israeli strikes in which the prime minister and several other officials of Yemen’s Houthi government were killed are “just the beginning,” warns Defense Minister Israel Katz.
“Two days ago, we dealt an unprecedented crushing blow to the senior officials in the military-political leadership of the Houthi terrorist organization in Yemen, in a bold and brilliant action by the IDF,” Katz says, hours after the Iran-backed group confirmed the death of Ahmad Ghaleb al-Rahwi.
Rahwi was seen largely as a figurehead who was not part of the inner circle of the Houthi leadership.

Conservative activist Scott Presler is sounding the alarm for Republicans, warning that unless the party immediately changes its strategy, November could bring devastating losses.
In a late-night video, Presler said he wasn’t trying to spread doom and gloom, but reality. “I’m not here to bring you a happy video. I’m here to give you a dose of reality,” he began. "I'm here to tell you, Republicans are gonna lose everything this November unless we change things and quickly."
Presler pointed to three key battlegrounds—Virginia, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania—where Republicans are in danger of losing everything. “You’re gonna lose the governorship in Virginia and you’re gonna have a Democrat.

It has been fully recognized since the November election that the Democratic Party has been hobbled more than a three-legged gelding, but things refuse to improve for that lot. Throughout this year, the party has seen its prospects withering across the board, whether it is in internal operations, public approval, voting efforts, fundraising, or media outreach.
And much like the condition of the national media industry, there is no desire exhibited by them to change what is not working. And this week it became even worse.
It was announced that the Bill Gates Foundation was suspending its monetary involvement with one of the primary non-profits affiliated with the Democratic Party.

Would anyone be surprised if they were? After all, progressives have spent decades championing abortion at all phases of pregnancy right up to birth -- and sometimes immediately after. Over the last decade, they have taken up the Queer Movement's transgender campaign and demanded pediatric sex-change therapies that leave adolescents neutered for life. Their climate-change agenda emphasizes the need for population reversal and rails over the insult to Gaia that human procreation creates.
They're not exactly kid-friendly, in other words. But don't just rely on instincts and political posturing on this question, because actual data shows that progressives practice what they preach. Financial Times analyst John Burn-Murdoch

A federal judge has blocked the Trump administration’s efforts to expand a fast-track deportation process, ruling that the broadened application of the sped-up process creates “a significant risk” that immigrants who may be entitled to stay in the U.S. will be hustled out of the country.
In a decision issued Friday evening, U.S. District Judge Jia Cobb granted a request by an immigrant advocacy group to put a hold on a pair of policies the administration issued in January that made millions more immigrants eligible for expulsion from the U.S. under a process known as “expedited removal.”

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem announced that President Donald Trump's administration is awarding tens of millions of dollars to hundreds of religious organizations to beef up their security, following the horrific Minnesota shooting at Annunciation Catholic School.
In a lengthy post on X on Friday, Noem wrote that, "DHS is awarding $110 million to more than 600 faith-based organizations and nonprofits across the US. In the face of violent criminals and radical organizations intent on hurting American communities, the Trump Administration is helping houses of worship, schools, and community centers to harden their defenses against attacks and protect themselves."

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) joined other Democrats in mocking the idea of prayer in the wake of the mass shooting at a Catholic school in Minneapolis this week, noting that the children were praying at the time.
In a post on X, responding to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt’s claim that “prayer works,”, Newsom said: “There children were literally praying as they got shot at,” implying that prayer does not work. Democrats have long attacked the idea of offering “thoughts and prayers” for the victims and their families in the wake of mass shootings, arguing that political action is needed, particularly gun control legislation.

NEW YORK - A divided U.S. appeals court ruled on Friday that most of Donald Trump's tariffs are illegal, undercutting the Republican president's use of the levies as a key international economic policy tool.
The court allowed the tariffs to remain in place through October 14 to give the Trump administration a chance to file an appeal with the U.S. Supreme Court. Trump has made tariffs a pillar of U.S. foreign policy in his second term, using them to exert political pressure and renegotiate trade deals with countries that export goods to the United States.
The tariffs have given the Trump administration leverage to extract economic concessions
