Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson said during her book tour last weekend that she views Supreme Court opinions as a way to voice her personal convictions.
“I just feel that I have a wonderful opportunity to tell people in my opinions how I feel about the issues, and that’s what I try to do,” Jackson said.
She made the comments during a discussion of her new memoir, “Lovely One,” in front of 4,000 attendees at the Essence Festival of Culture in New Orleans.
Jackson’s conception of her role appears to differ from that of most Supreme Court justices.

Frankly, Scarlett, I don’t give a d### about your “feelings”. The brilliance of the collective wisdom of the authors of the constitution is so much more important than whether or not you like that wisdom.

It’s all about Feeerlings for liberals. My fondest hope is that this woman ( even though she doesn’t know it) sees the writing on the wall and quits. Even in disgust will do.

Without doubt, "Justice" Brown-Jackson's statement is the dramatic example of the intellectual bankruptcy and the most abject confession of the moral vacuity of Leftists, not to mention the total lack of self-awareness that allowed her to utter it in the first place.

"Law" based on feelings is no law at all. How can you know what someone else, like Jackson is going to feel about what you do. So if she wakes up on the wrong side of the bed and feels bad about you, you are guilty.
This is insanity.
She should be impeached based on her unbalanced reasoning.
Of course, Biden should have been impeached or the 25th amendment used based on senility and we know THAT didn't happen.

Hey Ketanji....diaries are a great way to express your feelings. Additionally, by limiting your feelings to a diary, it spares the rest of us from having to hear them.

FTA:Since October, she has spoken 50% more words than the next most vocal justice, Sonia Sotomayor, according to a report by Empirical SCOTUS.

A judge should be impartial, objective, and apply the law. A judge with feelings should never have been appointed a judge.

… Haven’t posted in a while, but I just wanna take a moment and make sure that I read what I think I read:
“… I just feel that I have a wonderful opportunity to tell people in my opinions how I feel about the issues, and that’s what I try to do…”
I wonder if Judge Marshall, or Judge Holmes, or Judge O’Connor, or Judge Ginsburg, would agree that that’s among the duties of a Supreme Court justice.

If she expresses feelings instead of a scholarly analysis she has ZERO basis to sit on SCOTUS. A national disgrace and a cautionary tale.

A PA Superior Court judge is an acquaintance. He isn't out in the public and never at political activities. His goal is to be impartial. I did see him at the mall several years ago.

Boy, I have been wrong for a longtime, as I always thought that Supreme Court Justices are supposed to interpret the law and then issue opinions based upon their legal interpretations of law and not their personal opinions? I guess Biden’s leftist progressive and socialist Democrat crew that actually ran the Biden White House thought personal opinions that followed along with their DEI agenda was the way to go when they nominated Jackson to the Supreme Court?

I don't know why everyone is complaining.
After all, KBJ is the perfect DEI hire.
The Powers-that-be that were hidden Behind the Green Curtain in the White House searched long and hard to find her, and the 'Rats in the Senate and the Lamestreams pulled every string to get her confirmed.
She's of the favored sex.
She's of the favored ethnicity.
She's a screaming Leftist.
I don't know her history, but it appears that regarding this position, she Didn't Earn It.
That she is a total incompetent is the whole point of selecting her.

Re your Job as Justice, The people, the gov't nor anyone else give a rat's ass about your feelings, only your ability to render a proper decision regarding the Law of the Land! This "Clown" has no business on this or any other Court. God Damn Joe Biden for appointing, this Affirmative Action POS!

The silver lining here is that she is fast becoming a pariah on the Supreme Court.
This may cause the other liberals on the court to vote against her in future cases.
She will never resign. She knows that she will never hold such a powerful job again, no matter how long she lives.

ITT seems to me that a Supreme Court is supposed to interpret the law as accurately as possible. She is not supposed to interject her feelings into the law to claim it means what she would like it to say.
