Former White House physician Kevin O'Connor's closed-door interview with the House Oversight Committee ended after less than an hour on Wednesday morning, with the doctor giving investigators virtually no new insights.
O'Connor pleaded the Fifth Amendment to multiple questions about his time with former President Joe Biden during his sit-down. It resulted in a hasty end to what could have been an hours-long deposition.
"I'm going to read the first two questions that were asked. 'Were you ever told to lie about the president's health?' He pleaded the Fifth Amendment. He would not answer that question.

Like a particularly nasty case of herpes (or so I’m told since I don’t have personal experience), Stacey Abrams just won’t go away. No matter how hard Georgia voters try to send her down the memory hole, Abrams pops up from time to time for some uninformed rhetoric that shows how untethered she is to reality and how committed to left-wing cliches she is.
The two-term governor of Georgia — check that, two-time loser in the Georgia governor’s race — spoke at a retreat where she outlined “10 steps to autocracy”: She later appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” with guest host Anthony Anderson to trot out that old left-wing trope that

The influencer 4xtra, who co-hosts the No Jumper podcast, asked his fanbase who wants to get blown up in a video that went viral on social media. He was seen carrying some unlit fireworks in the clip.
"Who wants to get blown up today," he said in the video.
"I’m going to blow your a– up! I’m blowing somebody up today.”
4Xtra was left injured following the fireworks accident, his sister Emily said in a GoFundMe page that has since been created. Emily paid tribute to her brother, whose real name is Resan.
“Resan is someone who lights up every room with his humor and energy,” she said.

Over this July 4th holiday weekend, the controversy over the Minnesota state flag has re-emerged. From the Minneapolis Star Tribune,
Some communities won’t fly new state flag: ‘It’s not a greater Minnesota flag.’
“Greater Minnesota” is how we refer to the rural parts of the state, which represent the vast majority of the state by area. Here is the old state flag, which flew in more or less this form from 1893 to 2024. Apparently, the problem was, buried deep in the emblem, is the depiction of a Native American riding a horse. That, and the state’s motto (The Star of the North) is rendered in the original French.

The Black Lives Matter hashtag and slogan was developed in 2013 in reaction to the (lawful self-defense) shooting of Trayvon Martin by George Zimmerman. The following year, 2014, the organization was formalized by self-avowed “trained Marxists” after the (lawful) police shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo.
Those two shootings falsely were portrayed as racially motivated, while the facts (which we covered in exhaustive detail at the time) proved otherwise. Nonetheless the narrative was set and hating America and being American was necessary to be accepted into Democrat spaces. Even Bernie was not spared the wrath of BLM activists.

It would seem like a patriotic, inoffensive July 4 post celebrating America on her 249th birthday and lauding the commonality we all share.
Recently retired Philadelphia Eagles great Jason Kelce took to social media Friday to declare his “love for the 4th!” Nothing wrong with that, right?
Man I love the 4th! One of the great days we all can set aside our differences in this country, and enjoy the one thing we all share in common. That we are American!
Cheers to you oh beautiful America. (X) But nooooo, leftists didn’t like that. How dare you praise the country that is oh so evil, that wants to imprison everyone,

Zohran Mamdani has admitted listing his race as “black” on a college admission form. He is not black—he is ethnically South Asian because, by his own admission, his ancestors all came from India. It is impossible to know what went through his head when Mamdani lied on his Columbia University admission form, but the most obvious reason for doing so would have been to give himself an advantage over other applicants. If that was the case, it was not just lying; it was cheating.
Lying on a college admission form is not a criminal offense, but most would say it is unethical.

When was the last time an Independence Day was accompanied by so much winning? 1863, probably. It’s morning in America, baby! During the first half of the week, most of the memes I got related to Alligator Alcatraz, a genius method of encouraging self-deportation, as well as being intrinsically funny. But much more happened as the week unfolded. The Big Beautiful Bill passed, as we knew it would, despite the Democrats’ most over-the-top hysteria in, perhaps, forever. The Trump administration enjoyed a winning streak in court. Collusive Democratic Party litigation resulting in nationwide injunctions, often without even hearing from the Trump administration,

Democrats suffering from severe cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) are now displaying another symptom: staging ill-conceived confrontations to get street cred with their antifa progressive base. Some recent headlines:
North Carolina state Rep. Julie von Haefen attended a “No Kings” protest and was photographed holding what appeared to be an effigy of the decapitated heads of Trump and his senior policy advisor, Stephen Miller.
U.S. Representative LaMonica McIver was charged in a three-count indictment for forcibly impeding and interfering with federal officers—all seen on video.
New York City Mayoral candidate Brad Lander got the publicity he desired by trying to help illegal alien criminals by allegedly assaulting a federal law enforcement officer.

The conversation about how divided we are here in the United States of America is a never ending one now. Twenty or thirty years ago, talk about "two Americas" was about economic status. Now it is about the great Red/Blue divide. It's a bit much when people blather on about us being more divided than ever before, but that's what you get when public schools stop teaching real American history.
A lot of participants in this conversation bring up the specter of a new civil war breaking out here in the Republic. I am not a big fan of throwing around "civil war" like that, but it is being

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials have arrested Mexican boxer Julio César Chávez Jr. over alleged cartel ties, the Department of Homeland Security said Thursday. He is "being processed for expedited removal from the United States," DHS said on social media.
He was arrested Wednesday in Studio City, California, the department said. Chávez, who recently lost a match to influencer-turned-boxer Jake Paul, is a Mexican citizen and a former WBC middleweight world champion. Chávez has an active arrest warrant in Mexico for his alleged involvement in organized crime and trafficking firearms, ammunition and explosives, DHS said in a news release. Chávez is also allegedly believed to be an affiliate

If you thought the spectacle of Biden behind a podium was a thing of the past, think again. This week, the former president emerged from his Delaware cocoon to deliver the keynote at the Society for Human Resource Management’s convention in San Diego.
A couple of months ago, it was revealed that he was having trouble booking speaking gigs — probably because no one was going to fork over the $300,000 speaking fee reportedly attached to his name.
The Society for Human Resource Management must have had a Groupon code.
So what kind of wisdom did Ol’ Joe share?
Biden was asked about what he’s doing these days. His answer?
