Zohran Mamdani doubles down on plan to
target ‘whiter neighborhoods’ with
higher taxes — and says billionaires
shouldn’t exist

Socialist New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani doubled down on his plan to jack up property taxes on “richer and whiter neighborhoods” on Sunday — and also asserted that billionaires shouldn’t exist. Mamdani claimed that his soak-the-rich proposal was “not driven by race” — despite his campaign platform explicitly targeting white homeowners. “That is just a description of what we see right now. It’s not driven by race. It’s more of an assessment of what neighborhoods are being under-taxed versus over-taxed,” Mamdani told NBC News’ “Meet the Press” on Sunday.

Comments:

If that were to happen, what would he do when he ran out of (evil) white people ?

I wonder how he feels about the rich, white celebrities? Hey, Zohran Mamdani, a person can't help that they were born white. Why don't you talk to God about the unfairness of all of it. Oh, that's right, they think they are some sort of god. . .

Mamdani is a lunatic and an paraphilic Islamist antisemitic idiot. He will destroy NYC if he gets what he wants. "The rich" have been warned. The smart ones will leave. Private employers, most of whom are not billionaires, will pack up and head to another state, perhaps Tennessee, Florida, Texas, or wherever they're treated better. Miami could well become the financial capital of America after the socialists run that business out of New York. They appear to be dead determined.

Let's see, get listing ready for the sale of the condo while prices are high ( if he wins, the bottom will fall out so just be ready ! ) Tell family ' we're moving '. Start looking for potential locations for new home. If this communist wins, call the movers, list the condo and RUN !! This will only work if your job is flexible or you're retired. Get out while you can. Investments can be moved later if necessary or needed. This fool is getting elected, maybe, not sure yet, by promising to make EVERYTHING FREE TO EVERYBODY and it will actually work, for a very short time ( it always does !! ). Then the bill comes due and by that time escape for all except the very rich will be impossible. It's the same damned old shell game the stinking communists have used for decades to control people who either don't understand they are being shafted or don't care !

The best measure of the effectiveness of any economic system is NOT the difference between the rich and the poor. The REAL way to measure any economic system is to measure that system's poor against the poor of other systems. In the United States, the average family living in poverty has a car, air conditioning, a dishwasher, a big screen TV, a game system and lives in an abode that is LARGER in square footage than what the AVERAGE European lives in. Forget Bezos, Musk, Ellison and Gates. Look at the standard of living of the poor as your guide to how well an economy is performing.

Mamdani is another example of why we should have very little to zero LEGAL immigration. His parents are very successful Indians (dad is a professor and mom a Bollywood director) who lived in Uganda until the Ugandan government decided successful white and Indian residents had to leave so the native Ugandan blacks could compete. Well, the native blacks couldn't and Uganda invited the whites and Indians back. The guy has never known hardship in his life and yet there he is preaching the anti-colonial, commie crap his father believes in and in which he was raised. Why do we have so much fraud in our health care system? Because the system’s incentives encourage it — and because authorities often don’t do enough to fight it. One of my recent experiences with the system reinforced those two simple and unsurprising lessons. The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday handed down its ruling in the parental rights case of Mahmoud v. Taylor. In a 6-3 decision, SCOTUS decided that parents do have the right to opt their elementary school-aged (pre-K through 8th grade) children out of classroom instruction that may include materials on gender and sexuality. The three dissenters were Justices Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor, and Ketanji Brown Jackson. Writing for the majority, Justice Samuel Alito states that the parents involved were likely to succeed in their claim that the school system, by not allowing the opt-out on LGBTQ-themed classroom activities, was an unconstitutional burden on their religious liberties.

Mamdani is a self-proclaimed socialist who openly argues that billionaires shouldn’t exist. He champions radical policies, such as government-run grocery stores, free housing, and universal healthcare—ideas that would expand state control and increase public dependency. Now, with Mamdani on the rise, the city is bracing for a potential “exodus of billionaires” and a chilling effect on investment and economic growth.

One of Illinois’ more interesting laws to go on the books in recent years takes effect Tuesday. The law banning single-use plastic bottles in the state’s hotels, Senate Bill 2960, is one of the new laws and tax changes set to go into effect in Illinois on July 1. So, does this mean you’ll never find one of those little plastic shampoo bottles in an Illinois hotel ever again? Well, not just yet. The Small Plastic Bottle Act, signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker in August 2025, stipulates that Illinois hotels with 50 rooms or more cannot provide single-use plastic bottles

It looks like President Trump’s reconciliation package will be the last significant piece of legislation that Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) will vote on before he leaves public life. Yes, you read that right—the North Carolina Republican is calling it quits. He won’t be running for re-election. [Tweets] Tillis was set to run for another term in the 2026 midterms, although he faced a two-front war, one of which was created solely by his own poor decisions. On the Democratic side, he was going to face a tough challenge from former Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper.

Below is my column in the New York Post on the controversial dissenting opinion of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson in the injunction ruling in Trump v. CASA on Friday. The opinion seemed to fan the flames of “democracy is dying” claims of protesters, suggesting that basic limits on injunctive relief could result in the collapse of our core institutions. It was a hyperventilated opinion better suited to a cable program than a Court opinion. The response from Justice Amy Coney Barrett was a virtual pile driver of a rebuke. What was notable is that a majority of the justices signed off on the takedown. It could indicate a certain exasperation

President Donald Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” cleared a key procedural hurdle in the U.S. Senate late Saturday night, pushing the massive spending package one step closer to the president’s desk. The vote on a motion to proceed to final debate on the bill passed with 51 yeas and 49 nays. Every Democrat and two Republicans, Sens. Thom Tillis, N.C., and Rand Paul, Ky., voted against it. The actual voting took hours and the measure only passed after three Republican holdouts — Sens. Mike Lee of Utah, Rick Scott of Florida and Cynthia Lummus of Wyoming — folded and voted yes.

Donald Trump has a knack for making the so-called experts look foolish, and nowhere is that more apparent than in the ongoing debate over tariffs. The political and economic elite have ridiculed Trump’s approach, insisting that his tough stance on trade would backfire, cause a recession and cripple the U.S. economy. Yet despite all the apocalyptic predictions, the economy hasn’t gone south, and predictions of a looming recession have been quietly walked back. Recently, a prominent anti-Trump economist admitted what many on the right have been saying from the beginning: Trump’s tariff strategy wasn’t the reckless gamble the media made it out to be.

We’ve previously covered Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson's dissent in Trump v. CASA Inc., yet it somehow manages to be worse than we initially thought. I think we can easily say that her dissent proves that she’s not a serious member of the Supreme Court. In the recent case concerning birthright citizenship and nationwide injunctions, while Justice Amy Coney Barrett delivered a majority opinion grounded in the Constitution and centuries of precedent, Jackson’s dissent veered into the realm of the absurd. Instead of offering a rigorous legal argument

Jonah Goldberg, the editor-in-chief of The Dispatch and a CNN contributor, argued that Zohran Mamdani’s victory in New York City’s Democratic mayoral primary is “fantastic news for the Trump administration” in the latest episode of The Dispatch’s flagship podcast. Goldberg, who has condemned the “creepy, anti-Muslim rhetoric” about Mamdani coming from some on the Right, noted that on October 8, 2023, the day after Hamas launched a brutal terrorist attack on civilians in southern Israel, Mamdani “put out a statement condemning Israel for its attack on Gaza with no mention of the attack on Israel — that’s the kind of
