Botswana’s president has threatened to send 20,000 elephants to Germany amid a dispute over the import of hunting trophies. Earlier this year Germany’s environment ministry raised the possibility of stricter limits on the import of hunting trophies over poaching concerns. But a ban on the import of hunting trophies would only impoverish Botswanans, Mokgweetsi Masisi told German daily Bild. The African leader argued that conservation efforts have led to an explosion in the number of elephants and that hunting is an important means to keep them in check. Botswana banned trophy hunting in 2014 but lifted the restrictions in 2019 under pressure from local communities. The country now issues annual hunting quotas.

Jim Jordan (R-OH), obtained documents from the World Federation of Advertisers that show how it implemented a strategy to prevent major advertisers from doing business with disfavored news outlets. The coordinated effort could have the effect of bankrupting news organizations that don’t get the stamp of approval. “The World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) through its Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM) initiative may be acting inconsistent with U.S. antitrust laws and congressional intent by coordinating GARM members’ efforts to demonetize

Just look at the “corrosiveness of TikTok” to understand the recent spate of attacks on women across the violent streets of New York City, Mayor Eric Adams explained Tuesday. During an appearance on “Good Morning America,” the Democrat was asked about the reported assaults after videos on TikTok went viral of women describing being randomly punched by attackers while on the sidewalk. “Despicable,” he replied. “You know, they better hope that I’m not out on the street when I see that takes place.”

Earlier this year, pollster Scott Rasmussen asked voters a simple question: “Would you rather have your candidate win by cheating or lose by playing fair?” The answers he got back were, as he put it in a Daily Signal podcast last week, “the most terrifying poll result I’ve ever seen.” Among all Americans, just 7% said they would want their candidate to win by cheating. As Rasmussen put it, he’d rather see that number lower, but that’s not bad. But more than a third of the elite 1% he surveyed would condone cheating. And among those who are “politically obsessed”

A recent cartoon on Lucianne.com accurately pointed out the deceit of the left which ignores the truth of Biden’s disastrous reign while continuing to distort Trump’s statements. The cartoon shows a man pointing to a chart listing the current Biden chaos in the world saying to his companion, “Can’t you see he’s a total disaster?” The other man wearing a Biden 2024 t-shirt smirks, “Yeah, but Trump said, Grab them by the @$%*#!”. Yes, he did say that, but why? Trump was simply making a point while chatting with a supposed friend about how some women allow stars and celebrities to do anything to them

Iran has said that the US must bear "responsibility" after an airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria. Two of Iran's most senior military commanders were killed – Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a senior commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' (IRGC) elite Quds Force, and Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi, a deputy commander in the Quds Force. Israel has not commented on the strike but is widely believed to be responsible having carried out numerous strikes similar to this one in the region. But Iran has warned that the US must also be held accountable despite the fact Washington has said it played no role in the attack.

Israel is set to block Al Jazeera after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu branded it a "terror channel" that spreads false information. The Israeli government has now passed a new law that would allow the closure of the Qatar-owned news broadcaster. It is thought Netanyahu's decision to block the channel could affect relations with Qatar, which is playing a crucial role in trying to stop the war in Gaza. The broadcaster responded strongly to Netanyahu's claims, calling them a "dangerous, ludicrous lie", and saying he would be held accountable for the safety of its staff and offices.

Hillary Clinton had a message for Americans who may not be too happy about their choices for the 2024 presidential election: “Get over yourself!” The two-time failed Democratic presidential hopeful appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote the Broadway musical Suffs, which tells the story of the suffragists as they fight for women’s right to vote — Clinton is a producer of the musical. Host Jimmy Fallon elicited a groan from Clinton when he mentioned the November election, pointing out that it’s a contest between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.

Residents of Virginia Beach, one of the few areas in Virginia to choose Joe Biden for president in 2020, are upset over the construction of wind turbines. Complaints range from noise and vibrations caused by the 24/7 construction project to the destruction of ocean views and possible negative effects on marine life. On Wednesday, Virginia Beach residents met with Dominion Energy, the company installing 178 wind turbines 900 feet high across 15 miles of ocean. The local news outlet News 3 reported that after the meeting, residents still “have concerns regarding the construction noise, environmental damage, and ocean views.” The complaints came down to… Construction noise, which is 24/7

Emails show Hunter Biden's ex-business partner and impeachment witness Tony Bobulinski offered information to Democrat lawmakers on Joe Biden's links to his son's shady business dealings as early as 2020. Records also show the businessman offered to turn over his business cell phones to forensic analysts – countering claims from Democrats that he isn't willing to back up his story with evidence. The district began phasing out its Highly Capable Cohort schools and classrooms for advanced students in the 2021-22 school year because they found it had too many racial inequities. School bosses said black and Hispanic students were underrepresented at the schools. According to Seattle Public School data, of the highly capable students in the 2022-23 school year, 52 percent were white, 16 percent were Asian and 3.4 percent were black.

It appears increasingly likely that Washington is about to face a reality check it hasn’t seen since 2017. The changes will come quickly and cut deeply. The consequence will be that Washington will be guided by drastically different personnel and policies. Though a Republican capture of the White House is not a foregone conclusion, the reality is that with seven months to go until the election, President Biden finds himself in a lamentable situation. This reality is best synopsized by the fact that former President Donald Trump now leads in averages of polls in all seven swing states that will determine who will be the next president.

As of this writing, the stock is down five percent for the day, and it's tumbled 34 percent over the last six months. The sales drop comes amidst increasing competition and a lowered customer appetite for EVs. The Austin, Texas, company said Tuesday that it delivered 386,810 vehicles worldwide from January through March, almost 9% below the 423,000 it sold in the same quarter of last year. It was the first year-over-year quarterly sales decline in nearly four years. Sales also fell short of even the most bearish

That didn't stop Joe Biden from climbing upon his high horse and raging against the long-time American ally. In a statement brimming with condescension and faux righteousness, the president claimed he was "outraged" at the event, asserting that Israel "has not done enough"

The poll, released Tuesday night, also finds that most voters in the state back mass deportation of illegal aliens. In a head-to-head matchup with Biden, Trump leads 48 percent to 43.7 percent. Another 8.3 percent of respondents were unsure or did not have an opinion on who they would back if the election were today. Trump maintains an advantage over Biden in a race with independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr., but by a closer margin.

Yesterday, we were all going to die because there would be no more bees. Today, insects will all die because there are too many bees, or something. It turns out that neither assertion is true. The beepocalypse was always a manufactured panic, although a rather profitable one for a small slice of the population who "consulted" on how to save the bees. Environmentalists loved the story because it provided another angle to attack industrial agriculture. And, of course, for the media, which regularly push false narratives to keep us excited. The Washington Post presents a fascinating observation: never before in American history have there been more bee colonies.
