When a future administration someday deals sternly with this nation-dividing issue of illegal immigration, they’ll need to begin by removing the job thieves imported here by cartels from South America and elsewhere. They’ll also have to heavily fine, if not bankrupt, some of the companies hiring these illegals. They must start the deportations with construction workers here illegally in the U.S. According to conservative estimates, 25-30% of all construction workers in the U.S. are illegal immigrants. That thirty percent amounts to 3.3 million illegal workers in construction alone. People who empathize with the imported job thieves misplace their sympathy at the expense of their friends, neighbors, kin, and themselves. .

Comments:

Illegals are making up 1/3 of construction workers. They are dramatically depressing wages and need to be deported ASAP. And we need to massively reduce WELFARE, get those people to work.

Guys in the business tell me that if it weren't for "Latin American laborers" they wouldn't have any workers. Remember the days when you took a construction job during high school summer break? That doesn't happen any more.

Maybe it isn't that American workers won't do the jobs, maybe it's because the companies hiring aren't hiring American workers because they would have to them more. Something akin to, it's not that I didn't want to work for the state or federal government, it's because the state and federal government wouldn't hire a white male.

If we made it impossible for the illegals to find jobs and cut off the freebies, many would self-deport.

I agree with No.1. Every house framer, roofer, mason are illegals around here (North Jersey). They keep saying that these illegals are doing the jobs that we American citizens don't want to do. Well, if they paid a decent wage, they would get Americans to do these jobs, but $20 an hour won't cut it. After deducting withholding tax, FICA, unemployment tax, Medicare, what's left? And the hiring company has to pay FICA and benefits, so they wind up paying cash to illegals and not bother with all those messy deductions. How much will the consumer be willing to pay for a product or service when the manufacturer has to price in all the costs of labor? My local Mopar dealer charges $200/hour for service, The tire shop that does auto service is at $165 per, local the plumber and electrician $135-$140 per. Auto body shops are at $65 per. Add in Bidenflation, they can't win.

Crews opened a second temporary channel on Tuesday allowing a limited amount of marine traffic to bypass the wreckage of Baltimore's collapsed Francis Scott Key Bridge, which had blocked the vital port's main shipping channel since its destruction one week ago. Work is ongoing to open a third channel that will allow larger vessels to pass through the bottleneck, officials announced at a news conference Tuesday afternoon. The channels are primarily open primarily to vessels that are helping with the cleanup effort, along with some barges and tugs that have been stuck in the Port of Baltimore.

The current status of the New York civil fraud case that New York Attorney Letitia James filed against Donald Trump, and that resulted in a huge ruling against him, thanks to Judge Arthur Engoron, is just a little bit of a puzzle. In the short term, Trump is on defense, but the wheels of justice should turn and place him on offense. Understanding that requires us to look at the logic of the law, a subject at once fascinating and exacting and, sometimes, very surprising. The role of logic in law is one of the features of the law that most non-lawyers misunderstand.

Similar pools of unwanted battery-powered vehicles have sprouted up in at least half a dozen cities across China, though a few have been cleaned up. The Bike-Share Oversupply in China: Huge
Piles of Abandoned and Broken Bicycles

Last year, bike sharing took off in China, with dozens of bike-share companies quickly flooding city streets with millions of brightly colored rental bicycles. However, the rapid growth vastly outpaced immediate demand and overwhelmed Chinese cities, where infrastructure and regulations were not prepared to handle a sudden flood of millions of shared bicycles. Riders would park bikes anywhere, or just abandon them, resulting in bicycles piling up and blocking already-crowded streets and pathways. As cities impounded derelict bikes by the thousands, they moved quickly to cap growth and regulate the industry. Vast piles of impounded, abandoned, and broken bicycles have become a familiar sight in many big cities.

In blue cities where illegals congregate, much of the long-term focus is on where the housing for 10 or 20 million "newcomers" is going to come from. The problem, though, is much worse than housing. Out in the country, there are worries about where the food supply is going to come from with all this unvetted illegal immigration in the millions. No, it's not just illegals eating all the food. It's that unvetted illegals admitted into the country without inspection are bringing in untold diseases, which are already threatening livestock in border states like Texas. A bird flu pandemic could be '100 times worse than Covid' and kill up to half of everyone it infects, experts have warned — as the White House says it is 'monitoring' the situation. Speaking at a briefing, virus researchers said the H5N1 strain of bird flu may now be getting 'dangerously close' to triggering a pandemic. Multiple cases of the infection in a variety of mammals, including cows, cats and, more recently, humans, are all raising the risk of the virus mutating to become more transmissible, they said.

It’s just people started to worry about a “population explosion.” Thanks to antibiotics, vaccines, mosquito eradication and better farming, people weren’t dying off as they had been. But they were still having babies. This led to more people. And quite a few folks — themselves already born — thought that was bad. Israel has not commented on the strike but is widely believed to be responsible having carried out numerous strikes similar to this one in the region. But Iran has warned that the US must also be held accountable despite the fact Washington has said it played no role in the attack.
