Yemen's Houthis have vowed to expand their attacks on international shipping and have claimed to have new hypersonic missiles that could dodge the West's defence systems.
The Houthis having hypersonic missiles, if true, could raise the stakes in the ongoing attacks by the terrorist group on shipping in the Red Sea and surrounding waterways in protest of Israel's war on Hamas in Gaza.
The new weapons - which could potentially evade the West's defence system due to their speed and maneuverability - were reported by Russian state media, which cited an unnamed official, but provided no evidence for the Houthi claim.

This story is worse than it sounds. And while that’s true of nearly everything this administration does, it’s truly true here. [SNIP] The Biden administration on Wednesday reapproved a sanctions waiver that unlocks upwards of $10 billion in frozen funds for the Iranian government, according to a copy of the notice submitted to Congress late Wednesday and reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon.

Fake political audio recordings, photographs and videos generated by artificial intelligence (AI) have alarmed lawmakers including U.S. Rep. Shontel Brown.
The Warrensville Heights Democrat on Wednesday led a bipartisan group of U.S. House of Representatives members in a letter that asks several federal government branches to probe AI’s potential election misuse, including its use as a weapon by adversaries of the United States.
The letter that Brown sent the Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, and Election Assistance Commission (EAC) with 32 colleagues seeks information about AI’s use to use intimidate, threaten, or misinform voters during the 2024 election cycle.

New York City shelters are overwhelmed with migrants.
Many of them have arrived in Texas or Florida and then taken buses to New York, where shelter and benefits are guaranteed. However, the city is scrambling as the number continues to climb and the migrants look to build a new life in America, which includes housing and work.
But for companies like Tyson Foods Inc., struggling to fill unpopular jobs with a U.S. unemployment rate of 3.9%, this new population presents an alluring opportunity.
The food processing company wants to hire 52,000 asylum seekers for factory jobs, offering a starting wage of $16.50 per hour along with benefits.

Another Ramadan is upon us, and as is always the case, the eager-to-be-fooled infidels are out in force. A Catholic diocese in Italy has just called upon priests and laypeople to seek out opportunities to participate in Ramadan observances, as a gesture of goodwill toward Muslims. When will Muslim leaders tell Muslims to participate in Christian worship to show friendship with Christians? Don’t hold your breath.
The Catholic Herald reported Friday that the Italian diocese of Bergamo is “instructing its priests to participate in Islamic rituals, citing Pope Francis’ directives on interreligious dialogue.”

Six Americans are still being held hostage by Hamas, and Biden has sent no troops to help them, but at the State of the Union address, he promised to send troops to build a pier for Gaza.
The estimated over 1,000 troops will spend as long as 2 months laboring to build a floating pier in a war zone under potential attack to help transfer aid to the Hamas supporters living in Gaza.
Nothing about this plan makes sense.
The media has taken to falsely claiming that the Arab Muslims occupying parts of Gaza are starving.

The NAACP is actively encouraging Black student-athletes not to attend public colleges and universities in Florida due to the state's new diversity, equity and inclusion policies.
The announcement comes as reports surfaced that the University of Florida is closing its DEI office after the passage of the Individual Freedom Act, commonly known as the "Stop WOKE Act." State officials say the act prohibits institutions from using state or federal funds to administer programs that "categorize individuals based on race or sex for the purpose of differential or preferential treatment."

The Kobe Bryant statue unveiled last month in Los Angeles is littered with spelling errors and mistakes.
The statue memorializing the legendary Los Angeles Lakers player sits outside the Crypto.com Arena, where hundreds of people gather daily.
At the marble base of the statue is a rendering of the box score from Bryant’s 81-point game against the Toronto Raptors in 2006. In that box score, the name of former NBA player Jose Calderon is misspelled as “Jose Calderson,” and former player Von Wafer’s name appears as “Vom Wafer.”

Neil Young announced that he would bring his music catalog back to Spotify after previously boycotting the company for allowing podcasting giant Joe Rogan to freely discuss controversial topics related to COVID-19 and vaccinations.
The 78-year-old rock and roll star demanded that Spotify remove his tracks from its service in January 2022, declaring the company "can have Rogan or Young. Not Both." [SNIP] Now, Young is returning to Spotify and claims his decision stemmed from his belief that competing services owned by Apple and Amazon have also become home to disinformation.

It was a stark warning at the worldwide threats hearing in the Senate Monday.
"China's aspirations for greater geopolitical power will probably become all the more apparent," said Avril Haines, director of national intelligence.
Amid discussion of two brutal wars, came alarms about TikTok. Lawmakers are preparing to vote on the fate of the app.
A bipartisan measure would force the app's Chinese parent company, ByteDance, to sell TikTok or potentially be banned in U.S. app stores and web-hosting services.
Critics of the bill, like the ACLU, call it "unconstitutional," saying the move would be a blow to free speech.

The leader of a church in Hartford, Connecticut, has pushed for the formation of an armed citizen patrol to supervise the streets.
Archbishop Dexter Burke demanded armed citizen patrols after Garden Street experienced a spate of gun-related crimes, including a double homicide near his church in February.
Cornell Lewis, a local activist, spearheaded the effort and launched 'Minister Cornell Lewis' Self-Defense Brigade. '
Archbishop Burke's solution to local violence has drawn criticism from Hartford's mayor, Arunan Arulampalam.
