New York City shelters are overwhelmed with migrants.
Many of them have arrived in Texas or Florida and then taken buses to New York, where shelter and benefits are guaranteed. However, the city is scrambling as the number continues to climb and the migrants look to build a new life in America, which includes housing and work.
But for companies like Tyson Foods Inc., struggling to fill unpopular jobs with a U.S. unemployment rate of 3.9%, this new population presents an alluring opportunity.
The food processing company wants to hire 52,000 asylum seekers for factory jobs, offering a starting wage of $16.50 per hour along with benefits.

Isn't Tyson Foods the company that is investing big in producing bugs "for pet foods"?

#1 ditto here. I stopped buying their products decades ago when they showed over-the-top inclinations toward non-American employees.

Not American citizens - illegal immigrants.
Who don't have permission to work in the US.
Tyson needs to be cited for violating labor laws.

Definitely will not be buying any Tyson products. I refuse to support these woke corporations. How about hiring Americans who need and want work?! We need to have companies who are America First! How about starting that trend? Buy whatever you need right here in the USA to make your products. People will respond!

I saw no mention in the article about providing health care, education, and other public services for these now illegals. So I guess the taxpayers will be on the hook for those things. Then there is screening for communicable disease and criminal and/or terrorist backgrounds for these new 'employees'.
I now have a new attitude towards Tyson, and it's not a favorable one.

They currently have 120,000 employees...this signals either a 50% increase in workers...or the replacement of them.
In '94 they were indicted and charged with organized human smuggling operations all across the country, importing illegals, forging documents for them,...but....Clinton was "Their Boi" and when it went to Federal trial they were acquitted. Later in other lawsuits over amputations, workers safety, pollution, and covid infections/deaths...Eric Holder was their Lawyer.
They are not just chicken anymore, they are beef, pork, turkeys and chicken, 20% of the US Meats market....6 million cattle, 10 Million hogs, Billions of chickens, they own Jimmy Dean, Smithfeild, YUM foods, provide all the meat to Wendy's, McD's, Burger king, Kroger, AP, Walmart.Pizza toppings for most chains...dozens of other brands(even used to own Sara Lee) 10 million acres of corn...

#15 Tyson will give the illegals a J.O.B. (just over broke) It's enough money to be called a job but the pay is low enough to qualify for ALL the gov't freebies for low income people.
In my former life, I had a neighbor who worked for Home Depot. His pay was suppressed so he could qualify for lots of food stamps, Medicaid etc.

Tyson has lawyers who know that less than 10% of such “asylum seekers” who are all illegal aliens, will ever be found to be eligible for asylum in the USA by the immigration courts, as past history shows that about 90% of such “asylum seekers” do not have legitimate claims that would qualify them for grants of asylum in the USA in accordance with the US asylum and immigration laws.
Tyson also knows that almost all “asylum seekers” are actually economic migrants who came into the USA unlawfully to get hired to US jobs which is in itself a violation of the US immigration laws. No doubt Tyson would be pleased as punch to hire tens of thousands of illegal aliens at a wage much lower than American workers could accept and still enable to maintain their customary US standard of living. The US Immigration laws currently allow US employers to petition to bring foreign workers into the USA and those laws allow such foreign workers, amounting to about a million and a half annually to enter and work indefinitely in the USA as legal immigrants. Tyson should petition for foreign workers in accordance with the law and not try to take advantage of the Biden created mass uncontrolled illegal immigration situation to hire tens of thousands of illegal aliens who amount to cheap foreign labor to the detriment of American workers.

The Tyson meat business model has been based on illegal aliens for decades now. Many cities in the rural midwest have various meat processing plants for cows, pigs and chickens, which are about 85-95% staffed by illegals.
These have been intentionally located in rural areas where the local two bit politicians will easily be bribed by the increased tax revenues from a "big company" to look the other way on the increased crime, overloaded schools and ten to twenty illegal alien men living in a home zoned for single family homes.
Tyson and the other meat packers get rich off of the backs of illegals, and they spend a LOT to buy local, state and national politicians to support their demands for cheap, foreign ILLEGAL labor.

I'll go along with this on ONE condition -
EVERY individual they hire MUST be housed in the home of a CURRENT employ,
starting with the CEO and the board of directors and working their way down. If they start with
'one 'newcomer' per household and run out of houses, you start at the top again by adding
TWO new 'newcomers' to each house - I predict that is this is done, this whole idea will be
******** canned in a hurry !

That's interesting. And how are they planning to pay taxes, workman's comp and all the other bureaucracy of employees on people with no legal standing or social security numbers? How are those workers expected to get rental agreements, their kids in school, driver's licenses? How are those workers expected to file their taxes (I know, as if)?

"Asylum seekers"?
We have gone through various euphemisms in the media from ILLEGAL ALIENS to "Illegal immigrant", to "undocumented immigrant" to "immigrant" to simply "migrant"--
I like what Rush Limbaugh used to describe this group-- "Undocumented Democrats"
The meat packing industry regularly makes sweeps of the processing plants to round up these Illegals, but most of them are hard workers and not members of the criminal element that unvetted Illegals often are which poses a danger not only to American citizens, but National Security in general.
Since we don't know much about them and they are getting "court dates" many years in the future, they will procreate new "14th Amendment" citizens and cannot be deported and will bring their families here through "chain migration".
The time to dilly-dally is way OVER.
