Pope Francis has blamed Mongolia’s current cold spell on global warming, insisting the overheating environment is a “global social problem." (snip) This extreme phenomenon, which has occasioned the death of over 600,000 livestock, is “a sign of climate change and its effects,” the pope told the estimated 20,000 gathered in Saint Peter’s Square. (snip) Pope Francis, one of the leading voices condemning manmade climate change, has singled out the United States as especially to blame for the so-called climate emergency due to the “irresponsible lifestyle” of its citizens.

The Pope needs to stick to religion, he knows about as much about Global warming as John F'in Kerry who doesn't know manure about it. Scientists know that earth's surface heat comes from the sun.

Drought ---- according to the climate craziesmust be caused by MMGW. Too much rain ---- according to the climate craziesmust be caused by MMGW. Or.....NONE of it is caused by the totally FICTIONAL MMGW, it's just weather. A smart guy once said, "The weather varies, a lot."

There are "Reasons" mongolia and siberia(as well as northern canada) are the sparsest populated regions of the globe...it gets COLD there, and their parent countries, based upon projections of "Warming" have recently tried to move people, cattle and crops into those areas...only to find it is TOO COLD there. If GOD wanted it to be warmer in Monglia and Siberia(as well as northern canada)...it WOULD be warmer in Mongolia and Siberia, I would further suggest that the media who is al over this particular story should ask the people of Mongolia and Siberia if The Pope is Gods personal representative on Earth....Do They follow his teachings, does HE speak for THEM? Let us also consider that MORE smoke, fire, greenhouse gas producing, carbon pollution has been created in/from Mongolia and Siberia(as well as northern canada) over the last several years from the MASSIVE, 100% naturally occurring, forest fires in those areas than from all of the "Wealthy Western" countries highly populated regions combined.

The Holy Father has zero qualifications for a scientific opinion, and the faithful have zero obligation to take him seriously. Where he is qualified is in whatever remarks and views one may draw from this, which are general values and apply to everyone. In this case pollution is bad and wemust all work together. California Governor Gavin Newsom, who is considered a rising star in the Democrat Party, is under fire after a report this week revealed that he pushed for a special carveout in the state’s new $20 minimum wage law that affects businesses owned by one of his top political allies and donors. Bloomberg News reported that billionaire Greg Flynn was getting a “new boost” after his chain of Panera Bread locations were exempted from a new law that forces fast food restaurants to increase their minimum wage from $16 to $20 per hour. Flynn is the largest “restaurant franchisee in the US, if not the world,” the report added.

A Chicago police officer is suing the city to change his race on his official records after the department said it would allow officers to freely change their gender to match their identity. Mohammad Yusuf, 43, said in a federal civil rights lawsuit filed last week that he is looking to change from “Caucasian” as he “currently identifies as Egyptian and African American.” However, the Chicago Police Department is not allowing him to change his race. The lawsuit comes as the department allows an officer’s “gender identity [to be] corrected to match their lived experience,” Yusuf’s lawsuit alleges.

In 2017, Antifa and its anarcho-Marxist allies and a few small white supremacist groups engaged in violent activity at political rallies. However, the Department of Justice prosecuted only the white supremacists under the Anti-Riot Act of 1968. A federal court has finally called foul on this unconstitutional government bias. The decision, by Judge Cormac J. Carney (a George W. Bush nominee), is in United States of America v. Rundo et al. The defendants, both self-avowed white supremacists, moved to dismiss the charges against them under the Anti-Riot Act because the government violated the equal protection clause when it failed to prosecute anarcho-Marxists for identical activity.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on Tuesday secured a major victory in his challenge to the $1.7 trillion omnibus spending package passed in 2022, with a court declaring that the bill was approved unconstitutionally. President Joe Biden signed the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023 in December of the prior year. The measure effectively set the federal budget for the year by wrapping the 12 annual appropriations bills into a single piece of legislation. Paxton, however, had argued that the House's passage of the measure was unconstitutional as less than half of the lower chamber's members were physically present to vote on it.

Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee’s chambers notified attorneys in the case by email late Monday that certain communications Terrence Bradley had with Wade are not protected by attorney-client privilege, according to numerous people who read the email. Bradley could be compelled to testify as soon as Tuesday afternoon.

Mary Poppins has had its age rating lifted from U to PG because it contains 'discriminatory language' - but the word in question is so obscure you may have never noticed it. The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) now considers the 1964 tale of Julie Andrews' magical nanny to be not suitable for children to watch alone, despite the film enchanting generations of youngsters. The reclassification is due to the use of the word Hottentots. The dated term was historically used by Europeans to refer to the Khoekhoe, a group of nomadic herders in South Africa, but is now regarded as racially offensive.
