Anti-racism activists descended on Atlanta on Thursday to push lawmakers to back their $80 billion reparations package, warning of 'serious political consequences' if they don't greenlight the plan. Republicans oppose the plan, saying it's not fair to single out one group for payments — especially when Georgia's cash-strapped hospitals are shuttering and the state's overcrowded prisons need more space. I DEMAND REPARATIONS! My entire working life, from the late 1970's to 2012, I had to contend with 'Affirmative Action'. I had to outwork and outperform at my job because I was not a member of a 'favored group'. Had I BEEN a member of a 'favored group', I would have been promoted faster, paid more, and would be receiving a better retirement. I DEMAND REPARATIONS for being dumped on for 33+ years of my working life! -also- I DEMAND REPARATIONS for having to pay excess taxes! A well-defined THREE PERCENT of the population causes more than SIXTY PERCENT of the VIOLENT CRIME in the USA! But us LAW ABIDING TAXPAYERS have to pay the police, pay the whole Government and Legal System to keep this THREE PERCENT under control, and to house them in jails (at what, $80,000 per year, each?) as they are being punished.... the ones who didn't get away with their crimes. I DEMAND REPARATIONS for the excess taxes I had to pay, the excess Insurance I had to pay for, and the additional healthcare costs imposed as a result of 65 years of stress and worry about my and my family's safety. This has resulted in substantial additional healthcare time, effort, and cost. I DEMAND TO BE COMPENSATED! There! That's the other side of the coin! As I heard someone from the Deep South say one day, _ "If I'd known how much trouble this would cause, I'd have picked my OWN dang cotton!"

What happened to your ancestors has nothing to do with you and the choices you make. States cannot print money so good luck with that. I suggest you travel to Mexico and sneak openly over the border and collect all the goodies. Sounds like an insurrection to me.

If this organization wants to help African Americans, it would be wise to get behind putting American citizens FIRST on their own soil. Biden and the Democrats started prioritizing illegal aliens on his first day in office. His idiotic "invitation" has brought at least ten million new arrivals into the US, without our government having the means to properly vet them. And make no mistake, Democrats and RINOs do NOT care about keeping Americans safe in their communities. The only thing that motivates them is self interest. African Americans have been thrown under the bus again by corrupt "leaders." Reparations will always be a tough sell. But when we have politicians putting American citizens at the back of the line so they can cozy up to Biden's entitled illegal aliens, it's clear reparations are a lost cause. Democrats can take the black underclass for granted. The last thing those corrupt politicians need are millions of American citizens who EXPECT to come first on their own soil. Dems could always take poor Americans for granted. Lavishing luxury on illegal aliens has gone a long way toward unmasking how corrupt Dems and RINOs have become.

According to the activists :"But it's not just a check. This is about us being independent as a people again". Nope! Nothing is stopping Black people from being independent as a people right now except for current Black culture and lifestyles. There are currently plenty of successful Black people who somehow manage to be "independent" everyday by functioning as a normal person without a chip on their shoulder. Blacks were doing just fine a taking care of themselves until the 60's when the government stepped in and decided to "help". The Great Society, welfare, racial preferences in hiring, the breakdown of the Black family, out of wedlock births, Black crime..... You made yourselves dependent people. Other people from other races come to this country with far less than native born Black's and managed to achieve wealth and success in American society. Just one group with a big chip on their shoulder always using the excuse of slavery for every failure seems to have issues. Maybe the problem is not us. Maybe it is YOU! Reparations will fix nothing until you fix yourselves!

Moreover the level of criminal activity among the Black community is 10 times that of any other, creating a devastating expense to Americans as well. They need to go ask the leaders of the African nations that sold them into slavery for reparations. None of the blacks today have been harmed, and no whites alive today had anything to do with slavery. Besides, they have had decades of affirmative action giving them preferential treatment. No one in my genealogy had slaves, and there were black slaveholders in the south also. Many blacks in America are not even descended from slaves as there were many freemen in the pre-civil war day. Many whites were indentured servants. The whole idea of reparations is another example of freeloaders wanting something for nothing.

What it found there, Pulsar Helium CEO Thomas Abraham-James called “a dream.” “There was a lot of screaming, a lot of hugging and high fives. It’s nice to know the efforts all worked out and we pulled it off,” Abraham-James told WCCO. He said that the concentration of helium sampled was 12.4 percent — about 30 times

New York Attorney General Letitia James, of Trump prosecution fame, has turned her lawfare sights on one of the country’s, and in fact one of the world’s, largest meat producers. Via The Post Millennial (emphasis added): On Wednesday, New York Attorney General Letitia James announced that she had filed a lawsuit against meat producer JBS Foods' American division, JBS USA Food Company. James alleged that officials were "misleading the public" about the JBS USA's environmental impact, namely via their claim that the company would "achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040" while still planning to "increase production*, and therefore increase its carbon footprint.

CNN has been desperately treading water for years now. The former king of cable news has been bleeding ratings for years, with Fox News typically topping all the networks night after night. CNN still fancies itself the "most trusted name in news," yet, even former CEO Chris Licht admitted last year that that trust — assuming at one point they actually had it — is long gone and they need to restore it. He didn't last long. The problem, of course, is that CNN claims to be fair and without bias, yet anti-conservative views have long been part of its DNA,

MTA chief Janno Lieber said Friday that like it or not, congestion pricing is happening — as about 100 New York City firefighters and scores of other foes showed up at a public hearing in Manhattan to protest it. While the hearing was the transit agency’s second in two days to supposedly listen to the public over the proposed back-breaking new $15 Midtown toll, Lieber told reporters during a break that any attempts to halt the plan are DOA at this point. “This is frequently represented like I went on a drinking binge and came up with this idea in funding the MTA,’’

As the window closes on her presidential campaign, Nikki Haley is changing her tune. She’s no longer just attacking Donald Trump, she’s also attacking Republicans who support him. All of them. Losing is a kind of death that concentrates the mind, and with Super Tuesday likely to be her last stand, Haley is unleashing on the people whose votes she courted for more than a year. She didn’t persuade enough of them, so now she’s blaming them for not being the right kind of Republicans. “I get why Republicans are leaving the Republican Party, because we were just always about small government and freedom: economic freedom, personal freedom,” Haley told a gaggle of reporters Friday.

The misconduct hearings on efforts to oust Fulton County DA Fani Willis from the Trump RICO case have come to a close. Both sides delivered final arguments Friday, each arguing where the bar should be set for the judge's looming disqualification decision. The defense is arguing that the undisclosed affair between Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade, the Democrat district attorney's subordinate, constitutes a conflict of interest because she tapped her longtime lover to helm the prosecution. Meanwhile, the couple claims the affair started after she hired him in November 2021, but witness testimony from a former Willis staffer, Wade's cellphone data depicting late-night shenanigans,

An Arizona federal judge is upholding a state law that requires voters to provide verification of their U.S. citizenship before their votes can be counted. Following a lawsuit that led to Arizona legislators facing accusations of discrimination for requiring voters to verify their U.S. citizenship, Judge Susan Bolton ruled on Thursday that such requirements were not discriminatory. In March 2022, a group of plaintiffs led by the Hispanic voting rights organization “Mi Familia Vota” filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, claiming that the state’s law was unconstitutional. The Biden Administration filed a separate complaint that was consolidated in the case.
