New Mexico Sheriff Tells Tyrannical Governor
He Will Not Comply with Temporary New
Mexico Gun Ban

Original Article

On Friday, New Mexico’s tyrannical Democrat Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham declared gun violence a public health emergency in response to the shooting deaths of a thirteen-year-old girl on July 28, a five-year-old girl on August 14, and an eleven-year-old boy on September 6. Grisham temporarily suspended open and concealed carry laws in Bernalillo County effective immediately. This action directly infringes upon law-abiding citizens’ Constitutional right to bear arms.

Comments:

Does this New Mexican gun ban include Alex baldwin? It’s good to see someone in that state has reading comprehension skills above the second grade level.

Is she certain she wants to take that step? If she is wise, and it doesn’t seem she is, she will rethink ANY gun ban for ANY reason. This is not good.

A governor cannot "suspend" a Constitutional Right on a whim. The Sheriff is exactly right. Get that governor impeached and removed.

This is not that difficult. It is not the gun, it is the low life that is holding the gun. And you cannot declare a Constitutional Right null and void just because you are an idiot.

That article has some very wrong info. Bernalillo county is Albuquerque, not north of there. They are confusing the little town of Bernalillo with the county. John Allen is in Albuquerque.

To all our friends and relatives who ask us why we want to own guns, that tell us you don't need that many guns or that type of gun to go hunting. Show them what this governor is doing. We have the right to carry guns not to go hunting but to protect our rights from tyrannical wanna be hitlers like this. If our Constitutional right to carry can be done away with like this what other rights will they take away? Also, can you imagine how many heads would explode if a governor comes out and says that abortion in their state is now banned?

The Sheriff is right and is taking his oath to "defend and uphold the Constitution of the United States of America" seriously. The idiot governor is ignoring the Constitution. I have no idea if New Mexico has a similar oath for the governors....they should, and if they do, she is violating the oath AND the Constitution. Hooray for the Sheriff.

Now for a hard question. What happens if someone resists with deadly force this unconditional suspension when some misguided police officer attempts to enforce it? Not advocating for such an occurrence, but it is an easily forseeable and ugly happenstance. Courts have ruled that violation or deprivation of a constitutionally protect right is an irreparable harm.

The sheriff's long-winded missive makes one wonder if his commitment is solid. Lot's of wordy-words with lots of social justice language and "programs" - re: money grabs. It will remain to be seen if he has the spine to stick to his oath.

What a great question going into the 2024 presidential election! It was asked over 40 years ago and led to one of the biggest landslide elections in U.S. history. As the Harvard Kennedy School summarized: In the final week of the 1980 presidential campaign between Democratic President Jimmy Carter and Republican nominee Ronald Reagan, the two candidates held their only debate. Going into the Oct. 28 event, Carter had managed to turn a dismal summer into a close race for a second term. And then, during the debate, Reagan posed what has become one of the most important campaign questions of all time:

A powerful earthquake in Morocco has killed more than 800 people and injured hundreds more, destroying buildings and sending residents of major cities rushing from their homes in the country’s deadliest tremor in more than six decades. The magnitude 7.2 quake struck in Morocco’s High Atlas mountains late on Friday night. The Interior Ministry said 820 people had been killed and another 672 injured, in an updated casualty toll. A local official said most deaths were in mountain areas that were hard to reach. In Marrakesh, the nearest big city to the epicenter, residents spent the night in the open, afraid to go home.

The real end goal of the Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Vivek Ramaswamy campaigns is a leadership position in the Trump administration. How much criticism of Trump have we heard from these two Trump political opponents? The key for Trump and for our country to win could be a powerful coalition with RFK Jr. and his millions of Democrat and Independent supporters. With that coalition, freedom will win and evil will lose! Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was born January 17, 1954. Soon after his father was assassinated in 1968, at age 14, RFK Jr. started using marijuana and psychedelic drugs.

Once upon a time, it was very fashionable to refer to critics of "sanctuary cities" as racists or "racista." We had a big debate back in 2017 when Governor Greg Abbott signed legislation that would also allow police to inquire about the immigration status of people they lawfully detain. It was a wild debate, as I recall, and calling someone a racist was very much in fashion. What the heck, I was called a "racista" on a Spanish-speaking TV interview. What did I do to earn that? I said that local communities should respect federal laws.

McCarthy also has faced many calls to step down during his short time heading the lower chamber of Congress. But the fight over the coming vote on the budget bill is shaping up as a particularly perilous time for the speaker, according to CNN.
