With the first presidential primary debate set to take place at the end of August, the race for the White House is finally getting started, and things will only heat up as the temperature grows colder. What that will bring as far as the dynamics of either primary, I don’t know. What I do know is that Joe Biden and Donald Trump are the presumptive nominees at this moment in time. With that matchup in mind, the latest ABC News poll has been released, and it’s a disaster for everyone involved. We’ll start with Donald Trump, as there are several ancillary questions asked about his recent indictment to discuss.

Outrageous! Everyone knows that Trump has an 80% favorable rating especially since he was cheated out of at least 50 million votes in 2020.

Deep dive into the polling methodology: This specific poll is of 1076 respondents who claim to be US citizens. Polling is really conducted by KnowledgePanel, a subsidiary of Ipsos. This is an invitation-only polling firm that offers cash incentives/points for participating those whom KnowledgePanel claims are randomly selected. KnowledgePanel was founded in 1999 by two Stanford University researchers who are not named. You can read further on their methodology at the following link: https://www.ipsos.com/sites/default/files/ct/news/documents/2023-08/Topline%20ABC_Ipsos%20Poll%20Final.pdf IMO, there are too many question marks about about this firm and their methodology for me to be skeptical with the reliability of their results and their intentions. Polling data this far out for a general election is too far out to be accurate, which leads me to conclude that the purpose of this poll commissioned by ABC is really to shape public opinion rather than to reflect it.

Funny..... Any favorable Trump poll is gospel. Any negative Trump poll is fake news propaganda. Here's the uncomfortable truth. Outside of the bases, neither Trump nor Biden is popular. Trump isn't liked because of non-stop negative coverage and his habit of running his mouth and insulting anyone who hasn't bent the knee and pledged fealty. Biden isn't popular, despise non-stop positive coverage because anyone with two functioning brain cells knows that he's a moron and walking hole surrounded by sphincter muscle. Sooooo.... Just because YOU enjoy the smell of Trump's gas, don't assume that the other 80% secretly enjoy it too.

It's all propaganda designed to drive down Trump's numbers. Or the numbers for any opponent for that matter. Propaganda works. The charges against Trump are primarily propaganda. Biden's strategy is to be the least unpopular. The 2024 race is a race to the bottom. The last person to hit bottom wins.

ABC? They spend more time on every little detail of every spurious accusation about trump than they do even mentioning ANY of the Biden corruption/dementia/work absences. Last I saw they had spent over 500 minutes on Trump "Crimes" and ZERO minutes on any Hunter/Joe accusers, whistleblowers, transcripts,emails...even when they came out in sworn congressional hearings. Polls mean nothing at this point, in fact are only done to "Make" a story to cover in order to NOT cover Real News. This poll has as much bearing as a poll over "Which Kardashian...Is the trashiest"

Elon Musk is one of those people. And when you’re the world’s richest dude, you can put a whole lot of money where your mouth is. On Saturday night, Musk did just that. If you were unfairly treated by your employer due to posting or liking something on this platform, we will fund your legal bill. No limit. Please let us know. Donald Trump’s lawyer, John Lauro, will welcome testimony from former Vice President Mike Pence in the federal case Trump is facing for his alleged efforts to undermine the results of the 2020 presidential election. “Mike Pence will be one of our best witnesses at trial,” Lauro said Sunday during an interview on ABC’s “This Week.” “I read his book very carefully, and if he testifies consistent with his book, then President Trump will be acquitted,” Lauro added. Trump is currently facing 78 felony charges across three criminal cases. In the latest indictment unveiled Tuesday, federal prosecutors charged Trump with four felony counts, including conspiracy

Former Vice President Mike Pence suggested he would be willing to testify against former President Donald Trump in court if he is called upon to do so on Sunday. Pence made the comments during a Sunday appearance on CBS' "Face the Nation," telling host Margaret Brennan that he had no plans to testify against Trump voluntarily, but left the door open nevertheless. "It is a matter of public interest, Mr. Vice President, if this case comes to trial, would you be a witness against the president?" Brennan asked. "You know, I didn't want anything to do with the January 6 committee. That was a partisan committee on Capitol Hill," Pence responded.

The federal judge presiding over former President Trump’s election fraud case has ordered his attorneys to respond to prosecutors’ request for a protective order by Monday, according to a court filing Saturday. Judge Tanya Chutkan gave Trump’s attorneys a single business day to respond to special counsel Jack Smith’s request for a strict protective order which would prevent Trump from discussing case evidence in public. Smith made the request last Friday after Trump made a social media post appearing to threaten witnesses in the case. “IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU!” Trump wrote on Truth Social Friday. The Department of Justice implored U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan to issue a protective order curtailing Donald Trump’s ability to share information about his indictment online. Chutkan is presiding over the trial of Donald Trump in Washington, D.C., on four charges related to his alleged attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election, “If the defendant were to begin issuing public posts using details — or, for example, grand jury transcripts — obtained in discovery here, it could have a harmful chilling effect on witnesses or adversely affect the fair administration of justice in this case,” special counsel Jack Smith wrote in his court filing on Friday.

Many conservative analysts have recoiled in disgust at the way the Department of Justice has become increasingly politicized and weaponized, acting as a tool of leftist Democrats in recent years. There has been no clearer example of this than the way they have attempted to cook up multiple avenues to put Joe Biden’s primary political opponent, former President Donald Trump, in jail before he can have the opportunity to take back the White House. But now that Trump has actually spoken out about this, the Associated Press and other media outlets are feigning outrage over the idea that a thorough housecleaning of the DoJ is in order.

One of the best online fundraising days for Democrats this year was the day of Joe Biden’s campaign launch — but even that day’s haul was meager compared to his campaign kickoff four years ago. That’s among the findings of an analysis of fundraising for the first half of the year through ActBlue, the party’s primary donation processor. Small-dollar giving at the federal level totaled $312 million in the first half of 2023 — a drop-off of more than $30 million compared to this point in the 2020 cycle. The platform also had 32 percent fewer donors in the second quarter this year compared to four years prior, although

So a Democratic Party operative has once again indicted Donald Trump on transparently foolish grounds. The result of the Democrats’ seeming obsession with Trump is that he continues to dominate headlines and suck up oxygen nearly three years after he lost the presidential race in 2020. This is truly extraordinary. Did Jimmy Carter dominate headlines in 1983, years after he was thrashed by Ronald Reagan? Was Walter Mondale a fixture in the press in 1987, after being clobbered by Reagan in 1984? Were the papers full of commentary on Michael Dukakis in 1991, three years after he was obliterated by George H.W. Bush? How about John McCain and Mitt Romney?

But it’s looking good for former President Donald Trump, not so much for Joe Biden. Enten explains that despite inflation easing some, Biden’s approval hasn’t gotten any better, and that should be worrying for him.

All of this despite the fact that Trump continues to rack up indictments like a grandma on a winning bingo streak at The Villages. To his credit, Brooks does conduct a fairly exhaustive self-examination. In the piece, he enumerates the ways and provides examples of how America’s elites have lost touch with, well, everyone else.
