Tennessee’s GOP-dominated House on Thursday voted to expel Democratic Rep. Justin Jones from the Legislature for his role in a protest calling for gun control following last week’s shooting at a private Christian school in Nashville that killed six people, including three children. Fox 17 Nashville reports that Jones was sanctioned for using a bullhorn when he joined with protesters, which state House leaders called "disorderly behavior." Thursday’s vote marked an extraordinary move from lawmakers that has been executed only a handful of times since the Civil War. House lawmakers are also considering ousting Democratic Reps. Gloria Johnson and Justin Pearson.

It's about time we stick it to them. They have their outrage; we have ours. Bye, Justin. Don't let a judge overturn the expulsion. They need to go one step further and scream insurrection at everything the left does from here on out.

How bad does violating the rules have to be before someone is punished? If he's allowed to bring a megaphone onto the TN house floor and without being recognized by the speaker, demand that his colleagues listen to him, how will he escalate next time? Throw punches? bring a bat or a knife and threaten the opposition? It is time to reestablish some norms of behavior, and this jerk and his cohorts are a good place to start.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., renewed her calls for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas to be impeached after a report detailed the justice's close relationship with a billionaire Republican donor — going so far as to say she will introduce articles of impeachment herself. In comments made on the Lever Time podcast Thursday, Ocasio-Cortez said Thomas' position on the court is an "emergency" and a "crisis," and reiterated her full support for removing him. When asked if she would introduce the articles of impeachment herself, the New York lawmaker said she would step up if no one else does.

The numbers don’t lie: Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s case against Trump is a massive outlier, not the “bread and butter” move the crime-lover claimed it was. Turns out, his office almost never prosecutes cases on charges like the ones he’s mounted against the ex-prez — i.e., first-degree falsifying business records with the “intent to commit another crime or to aid or conceal the commission thereof.” State crime data crunched by the Times-Union show that Bragg’s office has gone after people for this as a top charge only eight times in the past few years. Statewide, there have been fewer than 300 such cases since 2019.

Former secretary of state under President Trump Mike Pompeo fired back at claims from the Biden administration that Trump constrained the conditions of the U.S. pullout from Afghanistan, during which 13 American soldiers died in a suicide bombing while protecting the Kabul airport, and untold numbers of Americans and Afghans eligible for evacuation were stranded. The White House on Thursday released its review of President Biden's fumbled 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan while Trump's indictment continues to dominate the headlines. The 12-page outline called the overall decision to end the 20-year war the right thing for America, but declined to acknowledge any mistakes made by Biden while instead repeatedly criticizing Trump's

Something odd happened in the days leading up to the New York indictment of former President Donald Trump. Nobody outside a small group of prosecutors knew what the sealed indictment said. But on the basis of leaks — there were a lot — as well as indicators of what the grand jury was doing, observers could sketch out what the indictment would likely be. And it seemed...weak. As the days went by, critics noted that the expected main charge, falsification of business records, is a misdemeanor with a long-passed two-year statute of limitations. Democratic prosecutor Alvin Bragg, it was said, would try to inflate that misdemeanor into a felony by alleging

Lock Donald Trump up, or don’t lock him up, but don’t tell me that “no one is above the law.” It’s one of the most ludicrous fantasies peddled by the left. Plenty of people are “above the law.” James Clapper, who lied under oath to Congress about spying on the American people, is above the law. John Brennan, who lied about a domestic spying operation on Senate staffers, is above the law. Unlike Trump advisor Peter Navarro, Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder was never going to be handcuffed and thrown in prison for ignoring a congressional subpoena. He is above the law. Trump’s 2016 opponent, Hillary Clinton, is also above

Now that we’ve seen what District Attorney Alvin Bragg has, the old Peggy Lee song comes to mind. Is that all there is? Yes, that’s all there is. The charges against Donald Trump are almost exactly as predicted. They are weak and, most important, political. As such, they are shockingly-blatant punishment for Trump daring to become president. In this sordid case, the letters D.A. stand for Democrat Attorney. The charges are the crime. Shame on Bragg for abusing his authority and turning his office into a partisan outpost.

As we await the publication of all the impending indictments of former President Donald Trump by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, Americans are trying to figure out what constitutes an indictable offense for current and retired public officials. Most legal experts, Left and Right, have noted: 1) Bragg promised in advance that he would try to find a way to indict Trump. His prior boasts are reminiscent of Stalin’s secret police enforcer Lavrentiy Beria’s quip, “Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime.” Nancy Pelosi gave the game away, when in her dotage, she muttered that Trump had a right to prove his innocence as if he is presumed guilty.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is expected to announce the new standards, which will impact cars manufactured between 2027-2032, next week during a ceremony in Detroit, Bloomberg reported on Thursday, citing officials briefed on the proposal. "Already, President Biden’s Investing in America agenda is powering a domestic clean energy manufacturing boom, lowering costs for American families, and creating good-paying union jobs," the EPA told Fox News Digital.
