Victor Davis Hanson: Prosecutors Want

Victor Davis Hanson on Tuesday called the prosecution of former President Donald Trump "the worst example of third-world election tampering." Hanson said prosecutors have the intent to get Trump enough empathy to win the nomination so they can come down on him and nullify his ability to run for president. "What we're seeing is not the end of it," Hanson told Carlson. "Tonight was the very beginning. This is going to go on to three prosecutors for a year and a half, with the intent of getting just enough empathy for Donald Trump that he will be nominated and then see him gag-ordered and maybe even seeing him incarcerated to nullify

Awesome plan! Sounds like it was cooked up by the General Staff of the Russian army, the same guys who planned to sweep into Kyiv in 36 hours. What could possibly go wrong? Well other than Trump winning anyway and showing up with a super long enemies list and proceeding to dispatch them in the most gruesome way he can imagine. Seriously every one of these cases is fraught with legally dubious charges and an even worse set of facts.

IMO, Donald Trump should do what EVER he wishes to do regarding this or any other election. Of course I will vote for him; going through flames or broken glass to do so. I would not blame him in the least if he just bought NYC and Washington DC, stomped them down to a tiny bundle and tossed them into the Atlantic. What has this country done for him lately besides rip him to shreds?

Yes #7 I like the idea of impeaching Biden for his relationship with China and Ukraine. Very similar to the 1st Trump impeachment only with much incriminating evidence. Do it the day after he announces his run for a second term. Hold a huge trial in the Senate and subpoena every possible source. Bring out all the lies, quid pro quo’s and money transfers. The dems want a massive political food fight so give it to them. It must be done by the House of Representatives since they are the only government power source Republicans have.

Do the Dems really think, after all that Trump and WTP have been through together, that we don’t understand him and he doesn’t understand us without having to say things in so many words? Do they really think they can convince US that Joe Biden won the presidency while sitting in his basement, when his “campaign” couldn’t draw bigger numbers than would have fit into his basement with him, and without him being able to string two intelligible sentences together - - - But, that DJT couldn’t win from a jail cell & silenced by a gag order when his supporters are on the same MAGA wavelength with him? Do they really think we don’t know them? We know they want to “harvest” what they have not sown and retain “Dominion” over US (pun intended). They have shown there is no depths to which they will not sink to keep their stolen power. At this point, Donald John Trump has my vote for POTUS if they were to hold him in solitary confinement and not allow him to say a word until Election Day, or if I have to write his name in on the ballot.

If you say so, VDH. What's the point of going a few bridges too far? This is indeed the beginning, but the plan is to deprive Napoleon of returning from Elbe by wrapping him up into early primary/caucus season. If Trump shows any weakness in New Hampshire or Iowa the money will dry up. (If he's self-financed, why the daily barrage of fund raiser texts?) The salacious tales will flow like water of his sexual dalliances (real of imagined) with porn stars, Playboy bunnies and beauty queens. Poor Melania... Trump's defense is not coming cheap, either, and there is a gantlet of charges and indictments that may yet be sprung. The idea is to break the guy financially. And should he be nominated, it will be Katie bar the door. Much of the party derided as RINOs and Never Trumpers will desert the man. If you thought '20 was fixed, '24 will be even moreso. The establishment UNIPARTY does not want FPDT back in the White House.

I’m a little disappointed with the media and the Trump followers. Apparently, after seven years, you still don’t get it. Let me tell you what’s going on here. The news media and the Trump supporters are going for the red meat of the Trump misdemeanors as planned by the left. Why, you sadly have to ask? So that they have you and the media occupied to give them free reign to quietly destroy our country and steal our rights as you watch CNN or FOX News. Who would be looking?

The Democrats don't seem to see that the prospect of some local tin-horn prosecutor trying to influence the outcome of an election with a BS prosecution could some day be aimed at them. VDH is sober and smart. He's no Jim Hoft. The idea is to ensure Trump gets the nomination and then loses the general. That's why, for the 1st time in history, the Democrat Judiciary branch will be an active participant in the Republican nomination process. They want every week to be just like this week and last week, where Biden is nowhere to be seen and all the action just motivates Trump supporters. And then, If you enjoyed Biden's red-tinged anti-MAGA speech in Philadelphia, prepare to enjoy how Democrats run their general election campaign. And don't expect Biden to announce for re-election until he's sure Trump is his opponent.

Common sense will tell you that the Democrat plan that Hansen laid out is designed to interfere in the 2024 General Election to the benefit of whoever the leftist Democrat candidate turns out to be. The wimpy Republicans had better wake up and thwart those corrupt attempts by the Democrats to sabotage the next general election to their favor, or the wimpy Republicans are going to be knocked out in most future important elections with some wimpy Republican candidates ending up in Democrat run jails.

So looks like we're faced with 2 options: 1) Be intimidated by the Democrats' diabolical serial prosecutions/persecutions of Trump and not vote for him, and end up losing anyway with someone else. 2) Fall for their super-genius mind games and fall into their trap by voting for Trump, losing due to their crooked election manipulations. I think I'll go with #2 and see what happens, ESPECIALLY if they convict him and put him in jail. My motto now: "Trump 2024, because he can run this country better from prison than Joe can run it from Jill's basement."

The Left should be careful of what they are wishing for! Right now Trump could win election sitting in prison. The end game would be very ugly as MAGA reaches the breaking point and seizes control. 1/6 would be a walk on the beach compared to what could happen to free the new president. Pray that our side wakes up enough to get involved in local elections and can prevent the 2024 steal being planned.

If you are a consumer of Democratic Party propaganda, you learned over the last two years that Donald Trump is not only a unique threat to democracy, he also single-handedly caused inflation, created the crisis at our southern border and ran up the scandalous national debt. Just last week, you learned of two more ways the former president is destroying America. First, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg declared that voters in the 2016 presidential race were deprived of key facts that could have made Hillary Clinton the winner.

Nobel Laureate Albert Camus once said, “Insurrection is certainly not the sum total of human experience but … it is our historic reality.” Those words came to mind this week when Tennessee’s House of Representatives expelled two members accused of disrupting legislative proceedings in what some called an “insurrection” or a “mutiny.” The scene on the floor of the Tennessee House perfectly captured our “age of rage.” Protesters filled the capitol building to protest the failure to pass gun-control legislation. However, they were in the minority in both the state and its legislature.

The numbers don’t lie: Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s case against Trump is a massive outlier, not the “bread and butter” move the crime-lover claimed it was. Turns out, his office almost never prosecutes cases on charges like the ones he’s mounted against the ex-prez — i.e., first-degree falsifying business records with the “intent to commit another crime or to aid or conceal the commission thereof.” State crime data crunched by the Times-Union show that Bragg’s office has gone after people for this as a top charge only eight times in the past few years. Statewide, there have been fewer than 300 such cases since 2019.

Something odd happened in the days leading up to the New York indictment of former President Donald Trump. Nobody outside a small group of prosecutors knew what the sealed indictment said. But on the basis of leaks — there were a lot — as well as indicators of what the grand jury was doing, observers could sketch out what the indictment would likely be. And it seemed...weak. As the days went by, critics noted that the expected main charge, falsification of business records, is a misdemeanor with a long-passed two-year statute of limitations. Democratic prosecutor Alvin Bragg, it was said, would try to inflate that misdemeanor into a felony by alleging

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s recent demands for greater control over public education—and students’ bodies—in the guise of “parent’s rights” accelerates this conflict, rejecting the importance of learning as a public good in itself in favor of promoting conformity and uncritical thinking. The 77-year-old Democrat said he was awaiting “routine surgery” on his femur scheduled for Sunday and expects a full recovery. “What can I say, I love a parade!” he tweeted.

The list of American companies and corporations facing backlash and the threat of boycotts as they fall like dominos to the woke mob seems to increase daily. One of the latest is Anheuser-Busch (AB InBev), after recently joining forces with transgender TikTok personality Dylan Mulvaney to promote Bud Light. This latest marketing decision does not seem to be a good one for the beer giant from the outset. On Thursday, Wil Fischer Distributing, located in the Springfield Missouri area, canceled all upcoming appearances of the iconic Anheuser-Busch Clydesdale horse team. The distributorship cited concerns about the safety of their employees in the wake of reaction surrounding the partnership
