The Biden administration is weighing an aggressive proposal to implement the tightest-ever federal regulations governing tailpipe emissions in an effort to boost electric vehicles.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is expected to announce the new standards, which will impact cars manufactured between 2027-2032, next week during a ceremony in Detroit, Bloomberg reported on Thursday, citing officials briefed on the proposal. In a statement, the EPA confirmed the standards are designed to incentivize consumers to purchase electric vehicles (EV).
"Already, President Biden’s Investing in America agenda is powering a domestic clean energy manufacturing boom, lowering costs for American families, and creating good-paying union jobs," the EPA told Fox News Digital.

Where in the Constitution does Biden and his handlers, and the rest of the communist death democrats who infest all of the Communist Federal Agencies has the power to control or ban anything in our private lives?

Don't put it past the WEF's strategy to depopulate the planet by raising the blood pressure of those they term, "useless eaters."
They follow the "by any means necessary," dictum.

Where in our U.S. Constitution does it give the Executive Branch the "option" to cripple the U.S. economy in the name of anything?
Now will the Supreme Court understand how wrong it was to grant regulatory authority to the EPA? They have been used for decades to make tons of money for people sitting in Congress who are "insiders" to stock market booms and busts.

Since the article doesn't say exactly how they're going to "crack down" on gas cars, my guess is that they are going to make outrageously strict standards that will greatly increase the price of the cars. Their badly mistaken belief is that this will push more people to buy EVs, whose prices will also be increased due to removal of tax credits.
However, what will actually happen is that this will lead instead to a huge drop in the total number of ALL vehicles purchased annually. In effect, it will destroy the U.S. auto industry and massively drop government tax revenues, leading to an intensified recession overall.
Obama's "transformation" of America into a weakened, dangerous, socialist hellhole is proceeding as planned by his puppet.

Can't green energy survive on its own in the marketplace without government putting its thumb on the scales?

Most Americans can't afford an electric car. What is going to happen to all of the so=called gas guzzlers? Do we have enough space on the planet for all of them to be trashed? How about giving up your gas-guzzling antique Corvette! How about stopping the manufacture of all private jets? The stupid list goes on and on. Let's go, Brandon!!!!

The hallmark of any dictatorship is restricting travel.
Want to close the border and end homelessness? Do an environmental impact study on both! That will stop the greenies from supporting either.

FTA ... Overall, the average cost of an EV was $64,338 while the average cost of a compact gas-powered car was $26,101 as of last year, according to Kelley Blue Book. In addition, the Department of Energy reported that the average range of model year 2021 gasoline vehicles was 403 miles compared to the median 234-mile range of model year 2021 EVs.
64000/21000 equals 3 times the cost. Range ? 403/234 equals 1.72 times per fill up.
So government subsidies for EV are required WHY ? sarcoff. The next step will be ban or ration gasoline.

The WH tells us that people are clamoring for electrics like a new i-Phone, so why destroy the ICE industry when they would expire on their own?
No one - no one, I've talked to about EVs wants one, but I'm just one guy.

They really, really hate your freedom to travel easily and cheaply and to live a long way from your job, if you choose to commute.
They seem to consider that our freedoms are just horribly offensive to their central, Communist control of everything. They want to force us into those cramps, ugly soviet concrete apartment blocks and walk or take a bus to the drone jobs that they leave for us.

The only person I know who owns an EV has a GM “Smart” car. He has had to have it towed twice in the last two months...once when it wouldn’t leave his driveway and once when the charge gauge lied to him and he ran out of charge on the road. I refuse to ride in it because of its tiny size. Hitting a big dog would total it. I’ll keep my two ICE Toyotas until the wheels fall off.

The globalist, socialist, Gramscian horde currently in control of the Biden Administration wants the rest of us dead, but if they can't outright kill us off, they'll starve us, restrict our mobility, control our money supply, freeze us out in the winter and let us broil in the summer heat. But take heart, America, it's "for the children." Ooops, wait--they want to kill them off, too, in order to "save the planet." The question is exactly who they are saving the planet for?

Cars are going to become like tractors. If you can find a good tractor over 30hp model prior to 2014, good luck. The cars in America will look like Cuba and the 1950's model cars.

He's running a "command and control" operation a la Bolsheviks as Lenin/Stalin accelerated the socialization/communization of the nascent "capitalist economy" of late 18th early 19th century Russia. It wouldn't work, because it can never work, and it won't work now.
We have dang Bolsheviks in the White House. Talk about Russian interference. Of course, they're also operating the worst of Maoist Cultural Revolution-style political control over and re-formation of American society, trying to transform it into an effete and impotent relic.

I guess nobody told Resident Potato Head that all those recharging stations are powered by diesel? And that the current grid just cannot handle all the extra demand for recharging stations and home charging. But hey, EV are just the smoke screen they want to force people out of the suburbs back into the big cities.

Is it just me, or does it appear to others that Biden's "team" has no worries that their current decisions could be so unpopular with voters that it could threaten Joey's re-election?
