Code Red: Downplaying Academic Excellence
in Med School Admissions

Original Article

America’s top medical schools, worried they have too few minority students, are doing something about it. They are lowering academic standards for admission and trying to hide the evidence. Columbia, Harvard, the University of Chicago, Stanford, Mount Sinai, and the University of Pennsylvania have already done so. The list already tops forty, and more are sure to follow. Of course, the universities won’t admit what they are doing – and certainly not why. All they will say is that their new standards add “equity” and “lived experience.” Unfortunately, adding those factors inevitably lessens the weight given to others.

That is the most bigoted move yet! They are saying that Minority students aren't as smart as anyone else so maybe you better find a doctor who isn't a Minority. What is that doing to a smart Minority student who would be a great doctor? These smug idiots have just trashed their career.. These so called educators and dangerous to society

And all they've done is to make sure the majority of Americans will not go to a minority doctor. Right? Here's a good idea. Every single elected politician, by law, must have a minority doctor, dentist or lawyer for themselves and their families. That would soon put a stop to this nonsense.

If this remains true, you have to wish good luck to the just regular people residing in so-called minority “communities” that could end up with a whole bunch of substandard doctors and healthcare! While the leftists and socialist activists and operatives who push the “woke” so-called equity agenda have the wherewithal to receive their healthcare from the best doctors.

When I visit doctors - - I don't care about their medical qualifications and experience. What I really care about - - is what happened to their families three hundred years ago. If they had bad experiences back then - - I want them to take care of my health now. What could possibly be more logical than that?

This policy failure harms all the medicine trainees, including the non-minorities and top performers because the rigorous program must be diluted down to allow the affirmative action enrollees a reasonable chance for success. It's the old teach down to the lowest common denominator. Therefore, even the top if the class is less well trained. I fear for my profession.

It was never an accident or a matter of desperate “need” that this country imported thousands of Middle Eastern physicians or Muslim men for admission to too medical schools starting in the Clinton administration. Who believes there were a severe lack of white Europeans outstanding English-speaking students or doctors wanting to come? Many of them were rejected to give preference to ME applicants. This move is in your face bigotry and more of the same to populate medicine (rich areas as well as poor) with the colors and religions that government wishes for us.

One of the major reasons I prefer white male doctors, older white women (who had to get in before quotas), or Asians in that order. I do have an Eqyptian ENT (who I'd guess is a Copt) who speaks perfect English with a Texas accent so I assume he came over here as a child or was born here to naturalized citizens.

30 years ago, almost every doctor I saw was a white male. They were all smart and very talented at the practice of medicine. Now it seems like every doctor at the group we go to is either a woman or a foreigner (bonus points if you are both I guess). They mis-diagnose more often than not, and I'm sure part of that is that they really don't understand us all that clearly. Sadly, while there are some really good female doctors, many of them definitely come across as "affirmative action" medical school graduates. I do have one Asian male doctor (specialist) who is a 2nd or 3rd generation American with a perfect American accent. I love him. The rest are all older white males. I am in my 60's, so hopefully I can keep most of these doctors for the rest of my time here on Earth. But I really feel sad for my kids and grandkids.

Add that to the coddling of limited hours during training and you have an inadequate seasoned work force of “health care providers” who are prima Donna shift workers that care about themselves more than their patients. After meeting the real world they commit suicide at higher rates because they are ill prepared for the job. Foreign doctors who have non-pampered training may be the better doctors at this point in history.

The most oppressed individual in the country? A white male. They bear the burden of a sin that they have never committed. If white privilege is a real thing, then why do we not see a soaring economy, beautiful cities with zero poverty, amazing advances in science and technology flourishing in African nations? Blaming a group of people for the inability of others to succeed is racist. What is causing so much trouble in every nation in the world is the abandonment of God. Those Ten Rules He gave us so that we could all get along has been rejected and we are all worse off for it.

The leftists' "god" of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (aka "DEI"), has totally blinded them to the obvious, which is that society needs to produce ONLY the very BEST medical professionals, because each and every one of us depends on one, two, or more Doctors to care for us from time to time. The failures needing rectification are in k-12. Instead of programming the kids in the indoctrination of every kind of sexual proclivity (and perversity), to the exclusion of academics, educators ought to be true educators and make sure kids learn well the BASICS of reading, writing and arithmetic. They need safe schools, safe for teachers as well as students; safe trip to and from school. The woke dopes have dumbed-down k-12 education, then college, now graduate levels where the society will suffer the greatest, gravest impact. This is purely STUPID.

This is sad to see. Healthcare is in a crisis in this country; lesser qualified people are now going to add to the crisis. Up until this new mandate, you could rest assured the physician you see is likely qualified. Soon, it appears, this is not going to be the case. Lesser qualified people/physicians will be adding more to the healthcare crisis in this country.

“At long last, have you left no sense of decency?” Those words were first asked by lawyer Joseph Welch in his confrontation with Sen. Joseph McCarthy (R-Wis.) during the Senate’s infamous Army-McCarthy hearings. This week, nearly 70 years later, Welch’s words seem more relevant than ever after House Democrats savaged two journalists who attempted to explain a government effort to censor citizens. It was only the latest of a series of hearings in which FBI agents and other whistleblowers, experts and journalists have been personally attacked for raising free-speech concerns. This week’s hearing showed definitively that we live in a post-decency era.

"All they were doing was raising free-speech concerns but what really was shocking in the last hearing is the Democrats have now severed their connection to the free press and the values underlying the free press."

Friday’s biggest headline-grabbing news was the bust of Silicon Valley Bank following a run on its deposits. The collapse was the second-largest bank failure in the nation’s history and fears of a domino effect rattled stock markets. Seen from the long run, however, that was probably not the most important event of the day. The honor goes to the announcement that Saudi Arabia and Iran restored diplomatic relations. Given their long proxy war in Yemen and fierce sectarian hatred, the sudden agreement (right) was stunning. Even more so because China brokered it.

Seizing an opening in their long war against Fox News, mainstream news outlets are blasting out reports that some of the network’s leading stars appear to have knowingly lied about the 2020 election. In blanket coverage that echoes reporting on the invasion of Normandy, they are hammering Fox with one-sided court documents that suggest they deceived their audience by pretending Trump might have won when they knew he had lost. The charge that this episode proves Fox is not a legitimate news outlet is overkill, but if the emails and texts released so far are not just cherry-picked tidbits, the actions of some of its hosts were indefensible.

After they lead him to the Senate chamber, he says a prayer for their help on the Senate floor. Chansley was sentenced to 41 months in prison for pleading guilty to “obstruction of an official proceeding.” He never hurt anyone, that wasn’t even alleged.

He might as well have claimed that he took “the most aggressive action ever — in the history of the universe” for all the truth there was in that statement.
