Bombshell Report: No ‘Definitive Answer’

White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan downplayed the bombshell report by the Wall Street Journal that found the Department of Energy has concluded the COVID-19 pandemic most likely developed from a lab leak. There is "no definitive answer," Sullivan said when questioned on the matter during an appearance on CNN's "State of the Union." (snip) President Biden specifically requested that the National Labs, which are part of the Department of Energy, be brought into this assessment because he wants to put every tool at use to be able to figure out what happened here," Sullivan said.

Comments:

I guess since we are only 99.9% sure the virus came from the Wuhan Lab, it is technically accurate to say there is no "definitive answer", although every thinking person including Dr. Fauci knew the truth 3 years ago.

You are not telling us anything new by saying it comes from a lab. Was the leak deliberate, unleashed as a bio-weapon against Trump’s election? By 0bama and Xi? We already know the answer. But would like to hear it from them.

I think they mean no definitive answer that they can release publicly that won't blow the agenda out of the water. Since Fauci was funding the research in Wuhan OP, he definitely knew all about it. And that is why the media has rallied around Fauci and slammed anyone as being racist for mentioning the reality of where it came from.

Most rational people knew this three years ago. In fact, it was almost common knowledge until our government started lying and censoring anybody who told the truth. To be fair, I don’t think they deliberately released this on the rest of the world. An accident due to incompetence and “Doctor” Fauci’s malfeasance. He will suffer no consequences in this life for killing millions of people but Satan has plans for him later. He makes Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot look like amateurs.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) once again took to the airwaves to say Democratic cities who declared themselves to be a sanctuary for illegal immigrants are being stretched thin due to the large number of people crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. New York City has had to open a fifth shelter for recent arrivals from the southern border, which is in addition to using hotels and homeless shelters to house people coming from Latin America and even parts of Asia. (snip) He went on to blame Republicans for blocking "comprehensive immigration policies" that caused the massive influx of illegal crossings.

Townhall has reported on several situations in which Americans took advantage of COVID-19 pandemic programs and defrauded the government to enrich themselves at the expense of taxpayers, but it turns out there were also perfectly legal loopholes that allowed wealthy Americans to take unemployment benefits — even those who had annual incomes over $1 million. Recent data released by the IRS reveal that thousands of Americans — 19,003 to be exact — reported receiving unemployment compensation in 2020 despite having adjusted gross income of greater than $1 million that year. The amount of unemployment compensation that those millionaires received totaled $263,794,000.

There have been some just outright shameless takes when it comes to how Hurricane Ian is headed for Florida, where Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) is in charge. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) went a particular step by incorporating it into the upcoming November midterms. While calling into MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Tuesday morning, she used the hurricane as an opportunity to campaign for Democrats now just six weeks before the November 8. Klobuchar herself isn't up for re-election until 2024. (snip) "We just did something about climate change, for the first time in decades. Scientists say a few decades from now, downtown Miami will be underwater. The tide is coming in and eventually it's not going to go back out," says Dr. Harold Wanless, a Geologist and Professor of Geography and Sustainable Development at University of Miami. So what does that mean for us? According to Dr. Wanelss's research, by the year 2060, nearly 60% of Miami-Dade county will be underwater.

Hospitalizations of U.S. children under 5 with COVID-19 soared in recent weeks to their highest level since the pandemic began, according to government data released Friday on the only age group not yet eligible for the vaccine. The worrisome trend in children too young to be vaccinated underscores the need for older kids and adults to get their shots to help protect those around them, said Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Since mid-December, with the highly contagious omicron variant spreading furiously around the country, the hospitalization rate in these youngest kids has surged to more than 4 in 100,000 children, up from 2.5 per 100,000.

The January 6th insurrection made clear the increasing dangers of domestic extremism in the U.S. But with social media spreading online disinformation at an alarming rate, how can law enforcement and experts hope to stop the flow of white supremacist propaganda? Some believe teaching people how to recognize false information and stop them from becoming radicalized in the first place is the best strategy. Methods developed from these partnerships include teaching students about democratic values, providing mental health and job counseling, and educating youths on how radicalization works. CORRECTIONS*

For two years, the Democrats have insisted that, on Jan. 6, 2021, the republic was shaken to its foundations by an “insurrection” mounted by wild-eyed MAGA extremists. They attempted to reinforce this claim with a series of hyper-partisan hearings, complete with video edited for dramatic effect by a professional television producer. This left most of the footage captured by Capitol surveillance cameras on the cutting room floor, and the Democrats refused to release any of the unused video to the public. Thus, after the midterms, Kevin McCarthy pledged to make it public if elected speaker of the House. He kept his word, and the Democrats are clearly alarmed.

We should await some facts or other kinds of confirmation before drawing conclusions about nefarious political calculations, but it is confirmed that his wife and children have fled the country to “avoid media attention.” I don’t know much about treating what appears to be severe depression (a month in the hospital?), but common sense would suggest the presence of wife and family is instrumental for treatment and recovery. No wonder there are rumors spreading.
