New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) once again took to the airwaves to say Democratic cities who declared themselves to be a sanctuary for illegal immigrants are being stretched thin due to the large number of people crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. New York City has had to open a fifth shelter for recent arrivals from the southern border, which is in addition to using hotels and homeless shelters to house people coming from Latin America and even parts of Asia. (snip) He went on to blame Republicans for blocking "comprehensive immigration policies" that caused the massive influx of illegal crossings.

There have been some just outright shameless takes when it comes to how Hurricane Ian is headed for Florida, where Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) is in charge. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) went a particular step by incorporating it into the upcoming November midterms. Several pro-abortion Democratic lawmakers sent a letter to Google urging the company to give “accurate” search results pertaining to abortion procedures. The lawmakers specifically ask the search platform to direct women to abortion clinics instead of pro-life crisis pregnancy centers.
The letter, led by Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) and Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), was signed by 14 senators and seven representatives.
In the letter, the pro-abortion lawmakers refer to crisis pregnancy centers as “fake clinics.” It cites a study conducted by the Center for Countering Digital Hate, “a U.S.-based nonprofit that fights online hate and misinformation.”
Hospitalizations of U.S. children under 5 with COVID-19 soared in recent weeks to their highest level since the pandemic began, according to government data released Friday on the only age group not yet eligible for the vaccine.

The “small but statistically significant elevation” in Bell’s palsy was detected after vaccination with Pfizer’s old booster, which is no longer available in the United States, researchers with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said in a preprint study.
The elevated rate resulted in an adjusted incidence rate ratio of 1.13 and remained consistent when researchers adjusted for different factors, such as prior COVID-19 infection.
A rate above one shows a possible connection between the vaccine and an adverse event.
