Five centrist Democratic senators have reportedly told the White House that they’ll oppose the nomination of Saule Omarova, President Joe Biden’s controversial lefty pick for head of the Treasury Department’s Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The opposition from both Republicans and, now, some of Biden’s own party could kill the nomination of the Soviet-born academic to the critically important post, In a Wednesday phone call, Sens. Jon Tester (D-Mont.), Mark Warner (D-Va.) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.), all members of the Senate Banking Committee, told Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), the panel’s chairman, that they oppose Omarova’s nomination to the post, according to Axios.

Comments:

This may be the worst presidential nomination in recent history. This is the woman who is on record wanting to starve the energy industry into bankruptcy and destroy our current banking system, and yet the White House and apparently 45 Democrat senators still support her. The White House now blame Republicans for sinking her nomination, accusing them of McCarthyism.

Omarova has nothing to worry about. The Pubbie, RINO, and GOPe senators will once again come to the rescue of the communists. It's what they do.

The fact that all the Dems don't oppose her, and Biden put her up to begin with, tells us all we need to know. There is no doubt, now, that the Democrat party is the US Communist party. It's time to tell them all that they either denounce the party platform and remake it to be inline with the constitution, denounce the party and leave it, or be declared seditionists and traitors to be dealt with accordingly. There's no room here for their philosophies and terror tactics. Theirs is not a "different approach to the same end" by any stretch of the imagination. Their approach is to tear down the United States and rebuild it as a Marxist hell hole. Those who ignore history...

She has been too outspoken about her weird, communist ideas. Quite the irony--if she hadn't published so many articles and speeches about her leftist ideas, the Obamaites in this administration would never have nominated her for this position. It's hilarious to see these Biden nominees temporarily backtrack from their more extreme views during confirmation hearings--"I may have misspoken on those occasions--I was merely encouraging a conversation. I never actually believed those ideas I so frequently advocated. That's not who I am."

With three Democrat committee members opposing her, her nomination will never get to the floor. I expect Biden will withdraw her name. What a slap in the face to the country even putting her name forward.

wwwww wait a minute!!!! she's not a "lefty" she's a communist. there is a difference, in dogma only. lefties are consumed with the fervor of "the cause", commies are committed to "the cause" and as an adjunct, they seek world domination. don't confuse the two ideologies because the commies are far worse than the lefties, liberals, social justice warriors etc. or whatever you want to call them. the "lefties" don't have a plan to take over the world, the commies do and they will persevere at any cost to progress their cause of world domination.

It is shocking that only five Dems oppose this soviet-trained, hard left extremists Communist. And how many RINOs would vote for this Communist without batting an eye? It is absolutely NO exaggeration to report that she is a Moscow State University educated Communist. Read her writings. They fit in perfectly with her training and upbringing.

The January 6th insurrection made clear the increasing dangers of domestic extremism in the U.S. But with social media spreading online disinformation at an alarming rate, how can law enforcement and experts hope to stop the flow of white supremacist propaganda? Some believe teaching people how to recognize false information and stop them from becoming radicalized in the first place is the best strategy. Methods developed from these partnerships include teaching students about democratic values, providing mental health and job counseling, and educating youths on how radicalization works. CORRECTIONS*

But what about the strange circumstances Joe and Dr. Jill Biden face while staying at the Nantucket estate of multi-billionaire hedge fund founder David Rubenstein? It’s a really, really long (since Tuesday night) weekend stay, so one might wonder if Benjamin Franklin’s famous aphorism, that guests, like fish, start to smell after 3 days, comes into play.
