U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) player Becky Sauerbrunn penned an op-ed in which she takes lawmakers in her home state of Missouri to task for proposing a law that will prohibit biological male athletes who identify as females from competing in women’s sports. In the Springfield News-Leader on Sunday, Sauerbrunn asserts that “playing with or against transgender women and girls is not a threat to women’s sports.” “The proposed ‘Save Women’s Sports Act’ does nothing to protect or support girls and women in sports,” Sauerbrunn wrote. “If those putting forth this legislation actually listened to the needs and concerns of women in sports,

Sorry, but what exactly is this "U.S. Soccer Star" of which you speak? It seems to me that the phrase is analogous to saying "Somebody we never heard of before, and who will fall back into well deserved anonymity immediately."

Men's sports is open to all. Male or female or whatever. They just have to be one of the best. "Men's sports" got that title because they are dominated by men because nature made differences in men and women which resulted in the best athletes being men. If a woman converted to a man and could kick field goals with outstanding success she would be welcome in the NFL. We even allowed a man with a squared off foot to kick field goals and set records.(frankly I have always had a bit of trouble with that one.) Women's sports was created because without a team specifically limited to women there would hardly be any women in sports. This trans thing is a way to circumvent the whole concept of women's sports and convert it to a Monty Python skit with all contestants being men dressed as women.

Played for 9 teams over 17 years, was 7 years into her "Pro" Career before scoring a Goal, though a starting player for nearly all games and playing every minute for most. Now captains the "Portland Thorns"... Ooooh baby, Me sooo Thorny.

During President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address on Tuesday, he called for a ban on so-called “assault weapons” in the United States. This issue has been brought up by his administration multiple times since he took office. In Biden’s remarks, he praised a 26-year-old man named Brandon Tsay who disarmed a gunman last month in a shooting in Monterey Park. Tsay was working at a dance social at Lai Lai Ballroom & Studio when he came face-to-face with the gunman, who had already killed people at another ballroom in the area. “Two weeks ago, during Lunar New Year celebrations, he [Tsay] heard the studio’s front door close

I’m not the only one that was aghast at how poorly Joe Biden delivered what could be one of his last State of the Union addresses. It formed the foundation for his 2024 pitch, so we can expect more of the same in the coming months before we’re deep into presidential election season. The problem for Democrats is that he was barely cogent. It was evident the president couldn’t read or follow most of the State of the Union address. Some of the lines had clear mental misfires riddled into the delivery, like Joe’s quip about asking Chief Justice John Roberts for a restraining order against his wife, Jill,

When the Dobbs decision was handed down, there was much cause for celebration among those on the right. I remained skeptical. First, I believe that it is going to be impossible to legislate or litigate abortion out of existence. I think that requires a change of heart on the part of abortion proponents. And I’m not holding my breath. Second, I knew that the Left would never take no for an answer on the matter. I was not surprised by the protests, the guerrilla warfare tactics of attacking pro-life centers, or the efforts to find workarounds to get women to states that offered abortions.

“President” Biden went off-script several times during his State of the Union address last night, prompting some of the strongest reactions from the politically mixed attendees. But one moment was particularly shocking because it was an incredible admission. The moment of candor occurred as Biden worked through his prepared remarks on the evil oil industry. According to the official transcript, he was supposed to bash the fossil fuel producers like so: “You may have noticed that Big Oil just reported record profits. Last year, they made $200 billion in the midst of a global energy crisis. It’s outrageous.

During that appearance, Buttigieg claimed that Joe Biden is just so wildly successful as president that his accomplishments cannot be easily distilled — hence Biden’s low approval ratings. Yes, Mayor Pete actually said Biden is extremely unpopular because he’s too good at his job. Buttigieg rambled out a justification of the Biden administration allowing an apparent Chinese spy balloon to cross the U.S. before shooting it down over the ocean (where, quite conveniently, no one can pick up tell-tale debris as enlightening evidence).

Somehow, the weirdest thing that happened at the State of the Union was not Joe Biden proclaiming that he’ll veto any legislation that raises the cost of “frisizhnjubs,” a line I’m still trying to figure out.
