Disney’s “Proud Family” cartoon series featured kids singing a song about reparations that America “owes” to Black Americans and how slaves “built” the U.S. (snip) In the show’s recent episode, “Juneteenth”, which aired on Feb.1, 2023, kids discover that their town’s founder was a slave owner. The song in the episode opens with the line, “This country was built on slavery which means slaves built this country.” This line was repeated continuously throughout the show “We the descendants of slaves in America have earned reparations for their suffering and continue to earn reparations every moment we spend submerged in a systemic prejudice, racism and white supremacy

Yes, I saw all those black people settling the mid and far west. They might want to check with the native Americans who built the sky scrapers in our cities and the Irish who helped built our railroads. Anyway, anything they built and more is being destroyed by the in the inner cities. However, it is the political left who are stirring this up. As the old saying goes, "Divide and Conquer" and they are systematically setting Blacks against Whites, Latinos against Blacks, and Asians are attacked by everyone. It is a distraction from their infamy and we can't let them get away with it.

Slaves built this country like mules plowed fields. They were used for labor. They knew nothing of what they were doing, why they were doing it or how to deal it. A white man with superior knowledge (engineering, architecture, geometry, geology), stood over them to get the results he wanted. Period.

#9, there were black slave owners too. Please don't isolate to just white slave owners. If you are going to get technical, the practice of slavery came to the United States. There is a long history of it; check out the Bible and you can read some of them. . .

The Brazilians had 17 times the number of blacks as slaves as the United States did. They only abolished slavery in 1888, decades after we did. It follows that Brazil is much more prosperous and rich and built up,then. Right? Or is there another explanation?

If the descendants of the 300k (that’s the total) African slaves imported into the USA are owed reparations, then I guess the several million Irish slaves forcibly exported to the USA get by lions share. Oh, wait, the only time the much more massive Irish slave trade is ever discussed is when fake “fact check” sites try to tell us involuntary perpetual indentured servitude was somehow not slavery.

It seems many people are under the impression there was a deliberate attempt to delay the notice of Emancipation to those slaves in Texas. Not sure they're remembering there was a Civil War raging in the Southern States which made if difficult to travel to that destination, and believe one of the primary reasons it took so long. I would recommend the documentary on GRANT for anyone who's interested in learning a lot about that time period in history. It's 3 2-hour segments, but worth the viewing and learning.

The nation was founded and built by Europeans, who discovered the country, wrote its founding constitution, purchased Louisiana, settled the West, bought Alaska, added Hawaii, and defended the country. Capitalism and the market economy, with the invisible hand, was founded in Europe, and transported here, and is the basis for American prosperity. America is a free county. You are free to stay, or free to go. If you are being discriminated against, maybe you should go, or at least think of what is it about your behavior that people don't like you.

I did not know slaves were able to build much considering what I saw in Africa. Furthermore, a few people who owned slaves had them pick cotton, or they worked around the house inside and outside. Other than picking cotton which we don't have in Europe, every country in Europe had slaves. They were white. I guess they will have to ask Disney to come up with a cartoon for them as well.

Many years ago, during the ancient times of the early part of this century, I provided individual psychotherapy to several adolescents. Although some stood out, one in particular, a thirteen-year-old, will remain in my mind forever. Every week, dressed in her school uniform, she discussed the issues of family life. Her parents lived apart. What made this memorable was her lamenting the fact that her parents never married, sharing with me her humiliation when other children discussed their parents' anniversaries or honeymoons. The sanctity of marriage has been losing its luster since the late 1960s

The Biden family (as in crime family) legal problems are beginning to converge in an interesting way. It may be the formation of a perfect political storm. Objective observers (which excludes the MSM) recognize that the Biden clan has had some shady financial dealings. With recent events, the evidence is becoming undeniable. As criminals often do, one of the co-conspirators may need to turn on the other to cover his tail. In this case, Hunter Biden may be the one protecting himself at his partner's expense — with Joe Biden being the partner left holding the bag.

After Roe was overturned, we knew that states would decide the issue on their own. And so they did. Elections have consequences as we see in a 34-33 party-line vote. And in Minnesota they had a huge celebration to go with it. Not one Democrat had the guts to stand up and look at the abortion fanatics and say: This is too much. You can't go this far.
