It's LA so most citizens cannot get a legal permit to carry a gun for self defense. So, everyone is at the mercy of violent thugs, especially older people and women.

Well, it is L.A. and Dodger Stadium parking lot has a violent history of late—but it’s usually ghetto Dodger fans causing the problems. At an Elton John concert? Very, very strange. Elderly pop music fans—things are getting bad. I’ve been to many John concerts and find this strange…vax anger issues, covid stress? Everyone seems to be on edge. WEIRD.

Apparently Thursday night is also alright for fighting. You have to be some sort of gutless wonder to go after elderly Elton John fans. The attacker shown looks like a drugstore cowboy type - not old but a real loser.

Saudi Arabia has executed 12 people in 10 days despite the Crown Prince's promise to cut down on such form of punishment, according to a human rights organisation. Reprieve said the defendants, all males, were sentenced to death after being imprisoned for non-violent drug offences. According to the non-profit organisation, which gathered data on this week's executions, most of the defendants were beheaded with a sword. Three of the men executed were Pakistani, four Syrian, two Jordanian and three Saudi, Reprieve said. Another man from Jordan was reportedly transferred to a prison wing and is due to be executed on

(Snip) “Can the American economy deal with it if it happens?” Vittert followed up. “It would not be good,” Buttigieg answered. “Catastrophic?” Vittert asked. “We don’t have enough trucks or barges or ships in this country to make up for the rail network,” said

Equatorial Guinea President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, Africa's longest-serving ruler and the longest-serving president in world history, was primed Sunday to extend his unprecedented 43-year authoritarian rule, The Associated Press reported. While Obiang is running in an election, AP noted that the country's electoral system is not considered free, and Obiang has never gotten less than 90 percent of the vote in his four decades in power. This trend looked primed to continue, and just two opposition candidates ran against Obiang, who was expected to once again win in a landslide. Obiang's presidency has seen a regime marked by numerous

A huge fire has ripped through a major gas pipeline in Russia following an explosion. But Russian experts have hinted at sabotage after claiming an accidental explosion is "impossible without external influence". It is thought it was the main gas pipeline belonging to Gazprom Transgaz SPB that exploded - affecting up to one million people. Thick plumes of smoke were visible for miles around the scene close to Putin's home city of St Petersburg after the blast. Russia appears to have pointed the finger at suspected sabotage, claiming an accident is "impossible". Gas industry Telegram channel Gaz Batyushka reported an anonymous

While Biden was busy draining the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to tamp down gas prices before the midterm elections, the real worry was that supplies of diesel fuel have been running short. Two years after the short-lived COVID lockdowns ended, diesel inventories continued to trend downward

Mannequins used to practice life-saving CPR aren't diverse enough, doctors have claimed. Researchers want to ditch the reliance on default 'lean white male' models. Doing so will help overcome 'bias' among bystanders and help improve the survival of other groups, they say. This, the team claim, would be done by 'changing the perception of sudden cardiac death' — meaning people recognise it doesn't just happen to white men. Academics from Canada and Argentina found fewer than 10 per cent of mannequins used to promote CPR on social media represented black or Asian people. None were of pregnant women and barely any were of fat people, according to the study.
