Saudi Arabia has executed 12 people in 10 days despite the Crown Prince's promise to cut down on such form of punishment, according to a human rights organisation. Reprieve said the defendants, all males, were sentenced to death after being imprisoned for non-violent drug offences. According to the non-profit organisation, which gathered data on this week's executions, most of the defendants were beheaded with a sword. Three of the men executed were Pakistani, four Syrian, two Jordanian and three Saudi, Reprieve said. Another man from Jordan was reportedly transferred to a prison wing and is due to be executed on

They don't mess about, do they? The blade flashes in the sun, and the head goes bloop bloop bloop, and into the basket. Is the punishment a just desert? Who knows? Don't bring your decadent American ways to the Kingdom, and expect mercy. That punishment is even harsher than what happens to a WNBA player transporting New York State legal cannabis products into Russia, and winds up in the gulag. Life ain't fair. 'Twas never meant to be fair.

I’m wracking my brain trying to figure out why this is any of our business. It is a different country in a completely different part of the world. We throw people into solitary and throw away the key for being at a pep rally outside the Capital building. We have enough Fentanyl coming over our borders by cartels to kill the whole country and yet we allow the culprits to go free and the poison keeps coming in so who are we to act as moral exemplars?

This merits a skeptical read, given the language-distorting habits of Mirror and other Leftist rags from England (like Guardian and Independent). The Woke have different definitions of "non-violent", many of them portraying some notoriously damaging drugs like Meth or Fentanyl as just another recreational drug. While the mass executions of political protesters merits a much closer look, the politicized bending of the truth in publications like this also merits moderation in the benefit-of-the-doubt department.

LONDON -- The World Health Organization has renamed monkeypox as mpox, citing concerns the original name of the decades-old animal disease could be construed as discriminatory and racist. The U.N. health agency said in a statement Monday that mpox was its new preferred name for monkeypox, saying that both monkeypox and mpox would be used for the next year while the old name is phased out. WHO said it was concerned by the “racist and stigmatizing language” that arose after monkeypox spread to more than 100 countries. It said numerous individuals and countries asked the organization “to propose a way

The 22-year-old suspect faces 10 preliminary charges, including five felony counts of bias-motivated crimes causing bodily injuries, according to court records. As the United States rolled back the clocks one hour this month to observe the end of Daylight Saving Time, many people got a bit more sleep than usual – but some not as much as others. Meanwhile, Daylight Saving Time itself – enacted in the US to reduce electricity usage by extending daylight hours – has long

Former GOP House Speaker Paul Ryan is offering two reasons why GOP voters should walk away from President Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential primary campaign. “We want to win,” the establishment champion told ABC News’ This Week on November 20. Trump “is going to continue to lose altitude” in primary polls because “he’s unelectable because [of] that suburban voter.” The second reason offered by Ryan is his own alternative 2024 White House platform. That platform breaks from Trump’s mostly-populist policies and offers voters a series of healthcare cuts, more wage-cutting migrants, new carbon taxes, and lower taxes for corporate investors. “I have presidential-sized policy ambition, but I really don’t have presidential-sized personal ambition,” said Ryan,
