On the heels of her midterm victory, CNN was already pushing for Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer to run for president in 2024. The Democrat, who won re-election by a double-digit margin in the blue state, stopped by CNN Thursday morning to talk about her priorities in her next term. Michigan was one of four states where Democrats gained control of both legislative chambers and the governorship. Whitmer expressed hope for more gun control and pro-choice legislation coming through Congress. Afterwards, CNN host Kaitlan Collins urged the Democrat to run in 2024. Maybe she can fake her own kidnapping and get lots of free publicity. And maybe the “kidnappers” could pretend to give her brain damage- that seems to be a turn on for dim voters. She could wear a tourniquet around her skull as a perpetual reminder to all dims: “i am damaged and now honestly believe myself to be a man/woman/it of the entire spectrum of colours and am infinitely diverse from everything! Hiawatha!”

Some years back Whitmer was trotted out to give the dims' response to a Trump SOTU. They were trying to lay the foundation of creating Whitmer as a future presidential contender. But no, not a star in the making, Whitmer came across horribly, she pooped the bed in grand fashion. I've not forgotten but apparently the left have. Maybe they're convinced they can shove anyone down the country's throat, think Biden or Fetterman. And maybe they can, sad to say.

Holiday shoppers might notice some changes this year. Along with heavier foot traffic, there will be a heavier police presence, and some of that is due to a spike in shoplifting cases. This trend looked primed to continue, and just two opposition candidates ran against Obiang, who was expected to once again win in a landslide. On Sunday, GOP House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy made clear a trio of liberal lawmakers were on the chopping block for their assignments after the chamber took the unprecedented step of dictating minority committee appointments under Democrat rule. Georgia Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene was kicked off of her committees just a month after her congressional inauguration.
