House Democratic Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries, who appears to be unopposed in his bid to be the Democratic Minority Leader next year, told CNN on Sunday morning that the party's number one "nongovernmental goal" will be to take back the House majority in 2024. "We're not satisfied [with the results in 2022]. Our top nongovernmental goal must be reclaiming the House in 2024," Jeffries said. "And I'm committed to making sure that that happens for the good of the American people." "It's an honor to stand on the shoulders of such an extraordinary group of leaders, Jim Clyburn, Steny Hoyer

Just exactly does Jim Clyburn do, other than advance family interests in government?

Why don’t they just take it now? Just have meritless garlick arrest all the Republicans - or at least the ones who don’t swear hatred to Trump. There’s plenty of evidence ….

Democrats no longer care about winning voters by their policies. In fact, what policies that support the good of the American people have they fielded since 2021? Every policy benefits illegals, or democrats personal finances or foreign countries. Regarding elections, all they want are ballots. Whomever collects the most ballots wins, doesn’t matter where they came from, or how you got them, just stuff them in a ballot drop box. Keeping Power and pushing you down that’s all they care about.

I would suggest the number one priority of any part is proper governance. To the extant that a party deviates from this role, it loses adherence and influence.

Funny. The number ONE priority for democrats should be taking care of American citizens, but as usual, democrat search for power reigns supreme.

It's unfortunate that this liberal tool doesn't feel that supporting the needs of his constituents isn't his greatest priority. This tells you all you need to know about liberals...and quite a few republicans as well.

Allow me to translate for Hakeem Jeffries:
We will be looking for new ways to cheat and steal the election.

And yet in 2009, Mitch McConnell was excoriated for saying the goal of GOP in the Senate was to make Obama a one-term president. Will the media excoriate Jeffries? Uh, no, he will gain praise for leadership and ambition.

Always good to know the Democrats have their priorities in order. It’s all about power. The American people and the economy?. Who the hell are they?

Yes, they'll take the House by STEALING. The entitlement addicts, college spoiled, the RINOs, and the "I don't care" populations will allow it.

I wonder if Ms. Pelosi, Mr. Hoyer, and Mr. Clybourn will be given honorary positions by the House Democrats. I remember when the GOP won back the House in 2014 (I think) and normally, the Speaker drops back to Majority Leader and the Majority Leader drops back to Whip, which was Clyborns' position and included a car and driver and security. So, Clybourn was going to lose his perks. The House Dems set up a phony position for him so he could keep those perks.
I'm guessing Mrs. Pelosi will soon be off to Italy as our new Ambassador, so she'll get perks in that job. So that leaves Hoyer and Clyborurn.

Well, at least he's honest about their #1 priority. Did anyone actually think that their #1 priority would be to better the lives of American citizens? How can they concentrate both on regaining the House majority and continue their policies to hasten America's descent into hell at the same time?

Those who know about such things say the Dems will be in far more trouble in Congress in 2024. Far more seats up for reelection than this time. Two more Biden years should really sink them...

that is the most important item on the demcommie agenda because, our President will, once again, be installed as President and they want all hands on deck to impeach him another bunch of times and try to undo all the good that he will do in his second term

Sooo, inflation, gas prices, oil prices, natural gas prices, freezing in the winter, failed international policies, etc., etc., are all good for the people? In other words, more inflation, higher energy prices, etc. will be pressed? No thanks.

In high school I was friends with a couple guys who were on the basketball team. The team was racially integrated, and the black players had considerable talent individually. However, my friends told me that they never ran the plays the coaches drilled during practice, preferring to showboat and display their individual talents. The most interesting thing my friends shared was the fact that the coaches NEVER allowed the black players to in-bounds the ball when the opposing team employed a press because they invariably threw the ball away or dribbled it out of bounds for a turn-over. I'm thinking Hakeem might be one of the black players on that team. Time will tell.

I believe him in that the House is their main priority. That way, even. if Trump wins the presidency, the House dems can. go back to the impeachment well until they get him removed. And if they fail, then they've still dominated his time and focus as it's hard to go on the offensive when you are having to play defense. Failing the removal of Trump or whomever may win the presidency, they will control the purse strings. Not even Trump was immune to the media blaming him for shutting down the government.

Whenever you hear a corrupt, power hungry, lying, election denying democrat like Hakeem Jefferies say, "for the good of the American People" you know he means what's good for his party.
