The Case For Ron DeSantis 2024

Original Article

It’s going to be King Kong vs. Godzilla and, while a few pipsqueak Rodan's might be flapping around (Hi Mike Pence), this bout is the battle royale. The 2024 primary will be Donald Trump v. Ron DeSantis. Everyone else is barely relevant – can you feel the Larry Hoganmania? Not unless you are Larry Hogan or one of the 1% of Republicans eager to set fire to stacks of Never Trump donor dollars. Back in June, I wrote, “The Case For Donald Trump 2024” (I followed that up with “The Case Against Donald Trump,” just as this Thursday I will offer “The Case Against Ron DeSantis”).

Comments:

Lots of good points here. Luckily, we have plenty of time to make up our minds.

Can we at least wait until DeSantis says he's running? This is all so premature, and it's annoying.

Time to move on from Trump. DeSantis knows he has to win the primary and Trump thinks he deserves the nomination as if he did nothing wrong. That alone disqualifies him IMHO. Appointing megalomaniac Fauci to lead COVID was the fatal mistake along with complaining about the media but continuing to seek their approval. DeSantis has something Trump lacks: DISCIPLINE! Trump is also too old and the name calling is stale and off putting. He is now our Hillary.

Excellent Article from Kurt, as usual! Everything he said about DeSantis is true. I know some would like to find fault with this article, but Kurt was just pointing out the reasons why The Governor should be a Player (if he so chooses). I voted for Trump twice, and will vote for him again should he be the Last man standing. But living in Florida, and seeing what our Governor has accomplished, I can't help but stand him next to Trump. As a lot of Other Folks say, it might be time for Young Blood to take over, Someone without all the Baggage and Law Suits, Someone who is Competent and would be a Steady Hand in the White House. Trump was a Great President, but maybe his time has passed. We will see what the next year or two looks like. Then we can decide! If Trump wins the Primary, the Democrats will probably run Biden again. If DeSantis wins, the Democrats will probably run the Prince of California against him. Wouldn't that be a Race!! Putting up the Hell Hole known as California against Florida would be something to behold!

When DeSantis ran for governor in 2018 and barely won over, I'm just hanging out naked with my stoned gay escort buddy, Andrew Gillum. I just assumed that DeSantis was another entitled congressman taking the next step in his political career.

If DeSantis takes the bate and ingages in political battle with Trump now, by he the time of the nomination convention people will be so tired of listening to them that they will both go down in flames. Trump should have waited until after the Georgia Senate runoff election before starting his 2024 campaign. If the Democrat wins it will be deja vu all over again.

Why do we have to be engaging in this destructive and useless agitating at this time? Aren't we weary enough having to deal with midterm results and the new Congress that is still being formed? Please, for the love of God, can we have a few months of not venomously going after each other's throats and have a little peace this holiday season? Until DeSantis announces his decision, we are creating bitterness and "tribes" within our side, to no purpose.

A quote from George Washington regarding strife between Jefferson and Hamilton: “How unfortunate that whilst we are encompassed on all sides with avowed enemies and insidious friends, that internal dissensions should be harrowing and tearing our vitals.” Interpretation for today: How unfortunate that well we are surrounded on all sides by evil democrats, media and RINO”s that internal fighting should be tearing our guts out. Solution: A truce between all freedom loving Americans. State your case forcefully and diplomatically and let the people decide come next primary season. Then, full support to the winner.

The polls will determine who the Republican nominee will be. The polls will be manipulated to endorse the candidate that the MSM and Never Trumpers want as the Republican nominee. The never ending allegations against Trump by the MSM will go on through the primary process. Remember, the media ALWAYS runs with an allegation even if there is no truth to that allegation. Their mind set is to tell a lie often enough, and it will become fact in the mind of the voter.

During his first term, in the face of never-ending opposition from the left and his own party, Trump achieved gasoline under $2 a gallon, inflation at 2%, record low unemployment, decreased regulation of American industry, the establishment of new trade agreements with Mexico and Canada, higher tariffs on products from Communist China, a dramatic reduction in illegal immigration, decreased missile testing by North Korea, cancellation of the Obama nuclear agreement with Iran, recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, the brokering of historic trade agreements between Israel and its Arab neighbors, increased defense spending by the United States, increased defense spending by the other NATO members, no new wars, American energy independence, a welcoming environment in the Republican Party for good and decent Americans of all races and classes, the appointment of more than 200 federal judges who believe in following the Constitution, and the appointment of three Supreme Court justices who believe in following the Constitution. In June 2022, seventeen months after Trump left office, a 6-3 majority of the Supreme Court voted to overturn Roe v Wade. Go Trump.

The two men should not take the bait or let their egos ruin all of this. Both should realize the long game Trump takes his one term then DeSantis takes two. If the vote cheating is not fixed in two years neither man could beat Pete Buttigieg. On another level there are people who don't know or care about the Florida governor. I mentioned his name to a conservative friend who is just politically ignorant never knew who DeSantis is. Stay calm play the long game.

There is all sorts of political maneuvering & manipulating going on behind the scenes. That will only increase during the next 2 years. A lot of things can happen between now & then. Best to wait & see if we get a clearer overall picture, imo. I didn’t vote for Trump in the 2016 primary, but voted for him in the general election. He earned my trust & my loyalty by solidly proving himself in office. He hasn’t changed in 6 years. There is no reason to think his loyalties will change at this late date. (Btw, Trump will turn 78, not 80, June of 2024). DeSantis will have to do the same for my vote. He has proven to be a good governor for Florida. Trump helped him to secure that position. He hasn’t verbally “taunted” Trump, afaik, but some of his political actions have caused some questions about where he would firmly stand on national policy, and by whom he might be influenced. Policies matter more than personalities when it comes to my vote. Trump happened to have had the personal financial wherewithal to fight the horrendous attacks against him. Could DeSantis withstand that kind of fiery trial, if it should come? If it does not come, why not? It’s ludicrous to think Trump’s character, personality, or ego, is the reason for the hatred & relentless attacks against him - especially by comparison of character, personalities & egos in power circles.

Before going out on a limb, I'll wait until I read Schlichter's balancing article, "The Case Against Ron DeSantis," he plans to submit on Thursday. I'm in no great rush; two weeks, much less two years, can be a lifetime politically. In the mean time, the strident, repetitive Ever-Trumper slurs against DeSantis as a GOPe tool/Super RINO are highly off-putting and are having the opposite effect of what is likely intended. Schichter published his contrasting For/Against Trump 2024 pieces in Townhall on June 20 and 23, 2022, where they are still available.

In Arizona, there is so much evidence of fraud, three of Arizona’s 15 counties have delayed certification. The following is a primer on the five most important elements of election fraud. The language is stripped for the sake of clarity. The complexity of voter fraud makes it virtually impossible for people to understand, explain and argue. And just wait, it also appears to scratch all our C&C itches, involving the World Economic Forum, the Clintons, the deep state, pedophile connections, and constitutes a huge democrat money-laundering operation through, of all places, Ukraine — again! the motherland of fraud! — which formed the single largest source of campaign funding for the 2022 elections, second only to lunatic billionaire George Soros.

Surveying the wreckage of the disappointing Republican midterms, voters were left scratching their heads, trying to figure out what went wrong. With the fundamentals being as bad as they were this year, Republicans underperformed expectations, and it was fairly obvious that they would experience no red wave by early in the evening on Election Night. While I've seen plenty of postmortems already, the single biggest issue that wrecked the wave was mail-in voting combined with ballot-harvesting, which all but eliminated Republican hopes in states where Democrats control the voting rules. This is why Senate polls were so wrong in these states.

Election Day is increasingly looking like election month, and frankly, unless state residents under our federal system get control of this, I see no end to it. In the worst cases, ballots are emailed to everyone who has ever been registered to vote whether or not they’ve died or moved away, faulty ballot printing results in valid ballots being tossed, equipment failures misregister votes, ballot drop boxes are left unmonitored, and so on -- all of which contribute to an atmosphere in which corruption flourishes. The more this happens, the more voters believe they cannot vote themselves out of policies and politicians with which they disagree.

The details are beyond me, but the concept seems pretty simple. The legislature of a powerful government—call it ‘the US Congress’—authorizes payment of tens of billions of dollars to the Ukrainian government to help them fight Russia. Ukraine skims at least some of that money—remember, it’s tens of billions—and sends the skim to FTX, which is already active sending bitcoin to Ukraine. FTX, through its founder Sam Blankman-Fried, then becomes a major donor (second only to George Soros) to the dominant political party of that powerful foreign government (call the party ‘Dems’) that supported Ukraine

Democrats' strategy of spending millions to boost pro-Trump candidates in Republican primaries appeared to pay off Tuesday as the party ended the night with a clean sweep of the races in which it chose to meddle. All six of the Republican candidates who seemingly benefited from the meddling in their primary victories fell to their Democratic opponents. Those races include a number of key House and gubernatorial races, as well as the New Hampshire Senate race. Democrats spent more than $40 million boosting those six GOP candidates, all of whom expressed support for former President Donald Trump as a leader of the Republican Party or were backed by him.
