Wokism for dummies! Researchers claim
CPR mannequins aren't diverse enough -
and rely too heavily on lean, white men

Mannequins used to practice life-saving CPR aren't diverse enough, doctors have claimed. Researchers want to ditch the reliance on default 'lean white male' models. Doing so will help overcome 'bias' among bystanders and help improve the survival of other groups, they say. This, the team claim, would be done by 'changing the perception of sudden cardiac death' — meaning people recognise it doesn't just happen to white men. Academics from Canada and Argentina found fewer than 10 per cent of mannequins used to promote CPR on social media represented black or Asian people. None were of pregnant women and barely any were of fat people, according to the study.

Comments:

Fairly certain this isn't a parody, though I wish it was.

So this is what researchers and academics from Canada and Argentina think? Here's a solution for you whiney nitwits: Pool your OWN money and develop, design, add weight to and color whatever type mannequins you desire. Quit complaining about everything and do this on your own. I'm sure there's such a demand that make millions.

For those of you who have not watched The Office, I strongly suggest you find the epsiode from an early year of the TV Series, dealing with CPR. Here is the backgound to the episode. Dwight Schrute, in charge of office safety, starts a fake, smoky fire in the rest room. Evryone panics, does crazy stuff, and Stanley, a fat black man, has a heart attack. No one knows what to do. So the CFO of Dunder Mifflin sends a nurse and a CPR dummy ro teach the procedure to the Scranton Dunder Mifflin staff. I have watched that episode at least six times, and each time I watch it, I laugh louder than I did at the previous viewing. It may be the funniest skit ever done in the history of TV. Or at least as funny as the Mary Tyler Moore show episode where Chuckles the Clown dies.

Is the study implying that I will be unable to perform CPR on a Black, Asian, or a woman because the pink skinned Annie Mannequin (a female) was used to teach CPR class? Are Blacks, Asians, and Women only able to perform CPR on White men according to this study? How did people manage to perform CPR for all of these years on each other before this study without the diverse CPR dummies? Guess there weren't SNOWFLAKES learning back then.
