MSNBC host blames gerrymandering for DeSantis
win: 'No way he could gerrymander himself

Vote Latino President María Teresa Kumar argued on Saturday that gerrymandering was a factor in Gov. Ron DeSantis’ re-election, despite his race being a statewide office. Kumar appeared as a guest host on MSNBC’s "Velshi," where a panel discussed former President Trump’s effect on the Republican Party. The discussion soon focused on DeSantis as a kind of successor to "Trumpism" for his rise in popularity However, Kumar claimed that his success, even in the state of Florida, is due not to DeSantis’ record as governor, but because he "gerrymandered" the state.

Comments:

The comment is delusional, but what’s sad is that plenty of people will latch on to it anyway.

Many thanks to Gerry Mander, who must be the inventor of common sense (according to MSNBC). DeSantis has done an outstanding job as governor of Florida and we are grateful, but I’ve already decided to support Trump to the fullest despite anything stupid slipping from his lips. Darnit, stop acting like leadership demands everyone act like a Boy Scout (like Pence or Jeb!). Trump 2024.

Gerrymandering is only OK when it's a demcommie who is doing it, proving that there is, according to national media, one political party, just like in Soviet Russia, Communist China, North Korea and the muslim country's - nice turn of events when the Iranian soccer team refused to sing their national anthem and that the Ayatollah's house was burned to the ground in Iran

This person is ignorant. Governors don't run in a "gerrymandered" precinct. They run across the whole state. To say DeSantis won because the state is divided up by politicians is stupid to say the least. All states are divided up by politicians but state wide offices, say Secretary of State in some states and Governor and Lt. Governor are all state wide elections.

During questions after the White House coronavirus response team updated reporters on the administration's vaccine efforts, Daily Caller White House correspondent Diana Glebova attempted to ask a question regarding what Fauci has done to investigate the origins of COVID-19. The Biden family’s influence peddling has always been a scandal left to the eye of the beholder. For some, it was dismissed as Russian disinformation or, more recently, simply the result of a drug addicted son of the president. Neither is true, but Hunter Biden has always been an example of motivated perception, or perceptual bias, where we tend to see what we want to see and turn a "blind eye" to what we do not want to see. That phenomenon was on full display this week in an Associated Press article that made an extraordinary claim: that there is no evidence even suggesting that President Joe Biden ever
