The president spoke about high gas prices during a trip to New Mexico to campaign for Democrat candidates.
Biden, however, has acted several times during his first two years in office to lower the production of oil and gasoline in the United States.

Twitter has notified employees that it will be “reducing our global workforce” on Friday, November 4th, according to an unsigned internal memo seen by The Verge. The confirmation comes a week after Elon Musk became Twitter’s new owner and quickly started changing how the company operates and its product roadmap. Since then, speculation about the timing and scope of the expected layoffs has run rampant inside Twitter.
Employees will receive an email by 9AM PST on November 4th confirming whether they have been laid off or not, according to the internal memo, which also states that employee badge access to Twitter’s offices will be shut off “temporarily.”

Former President Trump is calling on Republicans to impeach Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) for "allowing" Democrats to pass their agenda items.
During an interview on Real America News, Trump insisted that the Democratic Party must "have something" on McConnell since he has often made deals with them on the debt ceiling in the past.

The FBI is investigating a shooting that took place last month at the North Carolina family home of Pat Harrigan, a former Green Beret and Republican candidate running for Congress, according to reports.

The White House on Wednesday deleted a Twitter post after it was fact-checked for making an inaccurate claim about the Social Security cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) that was recently announced.
“Seniors are getting the biggest increase in their Social Security checks in 10 years through President Biden’s leadership,” the now-deleted White House Twitter post said.
However, the post failed to mention that the COLA adjustment was due to surging, decades-high inflation. COLA adjustments have been automatically done every year for decades due to federal law, and the adjustments are not contingent on any of the Biden administration’s policies.
“The point was incomplete,” a White House official told The Epoch Times via email.

A new poll from McLaughlin & Associates offers a grim picture of the minds of college students.
The survey was done in September and was conducted in partnership with Yale University’s William F. Buckley program to get a pulse on what undergraduate students believe on a variety of issues, and The Washington Examiner reported the head-tilting results.

The abortion audio was part of a segment on abortion in Michigan, where a battle is raging over whether the state will enforce its pre-Roe v. Wade ban on abortion. The woman whose abortion was recorded was 11 weeks pregnant.
“Some listeners will find the details of this story disturbing,” the reporter warns early in the segment.
The Cardinal Journal has learned that a shot was fired into the Hickory, North Carolina, home of Republican Congressional candidate Pat Harrigan on October 18, 2022, the bullet entering the home “only a few feet” from where Harrigan’s children were sleeping. On October 27 the Charlotte Observer noted that Harrigan wrote an open letter claiming the political campaign had become so vitriolic that he “wears a bulletproof vest to major public events and has received a death threat.”
Beauty pageant organization Miss United States of America LLC cannot be forced to allow biological males who identify as transgender women to compete, an federal appeals court ruled Wednesday.
The San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that allowing transgender people to compete in the pageant would interfere with its ability to show “the ideal vision of American womanhood,” according to a report from Reuters.
The lawsuit was brought forth by Anita Green, a transgender rights activist, who reportedly claimed that the pageant’s policy of only allowing “natural born women” violates an anti-discrimination law based on gender identity in Oregon.

The Michigan woman, whose identity was not revealed, received the procedure at eleven-weeks gestation, the outlet reported. In the audio, a vacuum can be heard suctioning out the unborn child, as well as the woman’s cries and moans. The segment concludes with a doctor telling the patient that the abortion had been completed. Laughter, sighs of relief, and words of moral support followed from the people in the room.

A Wisconsin judge on Wednesday dealt a blow to a group in the state who hoped to change rules governing absentee ballots, denying their request that local election clerks accept absentee ballots that contain partial addresses of witnesses.
Dane County Circuit Judge Juan Colas said in his ruling (pdf) that in the past 56 years that Wisconsin elections have been conducted, and absentee ballots counted, they have apparently been done so “without a legally binding definition of the witness address.”
The judge noted that the nearly 60 years of precedent was enough to determine whether an absentee ballot has enough of a witness address to count.

Conservatives ridiculed President Joe Biden’s "despicable" Wednesday speech in which he warned midterm voters of the threats to democracy ahead of election day. During his last address before the balance of power would be decided in Washington D.C., Biden pleaded with Americans to vote against Republicans, accusing them of being election deniers and MAGA extremists who have encouraged political violence, promoted former President Donald Trump’s "Big Lie" about the 2020 election and engaged in voter intimidation.
Rather than focusing the on main issues voters are most concerned about, namely, rampant inflation and other economic woes, Biden’s speech pointed the finger at his political opponents.

Kanye West paid a settlement to a former employee after complaints that the disgraced rap superstar praised Adolf Hitler in business meetings, a report said on Wednesday.
According to documents reviewed by NBC News, West, who now goes by Ye, paid the former worker who claimed the musician complimented Hitler or Nazis. West denied the claims in the settlement, the outlet reported.
Multiple people who worked with West or dealt with him in professional settings over the last five years told NBC News that he brought up conspiracy theories about Jewish people and spoke positively about the disgraced Nazi dictator.

A Border Patrol union fired back at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) on Wednesday after the left-wing organization condemned moves by agents to deal with illegal migrants who had allegedly assaulted them.
