An Ex-Leftist Reacts to Biden’s Speech
About 'Democracy'

Original Article

Earlier in the day, I warned readers that Biden was set to make Wednesday night about democracy. Well, I watched Custard’s Last Stand. On the upside, I need to lose a little weight and now I have no appetite. I thought I would address my reaction to the ersatz commander-in-chief: Dear Mr. President, First of all, the United States of America is not a democracy. Dear God, that is Civics 101. America is a republic. It was designed as a republic because the framers knew that democracies could easily descend into mob rule. That includes mobs you like. More on that later.

C'mon, man. Why can't you get it?? It's Ultra Mega MAGA +++ that is burning down black colleges in Delaware! And they're stealing all the insulin in every one of our 54 states. Beau tried to stop them, but he died in Afghanistan. I'm gonna have to talk to Arlen Specter to get those Pennsylvania folks to vote for Fetterman. No joke! No malarkey! I'm going to take the electric Corvette my father bought me out for a spin! Kamala is a great President, and will hold things down until I get back!

How bad did the dem party have to get before those capable of being redeemed on the left woke up? We have been pointing out the inconsistencies between what they say and what they do for decades. Didn't those on the left stop to consider ANY of those concerns? Didn't repeated dem failures open their eyes a bit? Concerning BO, WHAT had BO accomplished before he got into the election game? Even as a senator, what did he get done? The truthful answer is that BO has lived a life without meaningful accomplishment. Note: getting elected is NOT an accomplishment. BO is all about BO. He is famous for his "I" speeches. He is also famous for his disinterest in supporting others in his party. BO's personality is irrevocably broken. He is a narcissist. He is a facile liar. He is warped and dangerous. So to the author, welcome aboard. But we have suffered greatly while you sorted out your thinking. At this point, if a dem were to proclaim their support for gravity, I would wonder when we will all begin to float off the earth. I hope that lesson remains in dealing with the dems/Left/progressives going forward. They are a lost cause, incompetent, cannot be trusted, and some are evil. We should stop wasting our time in trying to "work with" them. We should go forward without them.

Poster #1, remember Clinton, the Kenyan? Not my first time speaking of disgrace and president in the same sentence. The only thing I can't take about Tucker Carlson is his insistence on referring to the US as a democracy. He's way smarter than that. "Soul on Ice" to "Soul on Fire," poster #3. I read them both. One of my marxist profs gave me Ice; I found Fire on my own. Cleaver experienced real communism in Cuba and N. Korea-very different from the idealized Hollywood version here in America during the 60s and 70s. He tried to find solace in Paris, but then he said, "I would rather be in prison in America than free somewhere else" and got himself back home to face criminal charges--the reason why he left America. He even thanked God for his country-the country he once hated and wanted to destroy.

Well said Mr. Brown, and I agree 100% with all you said. I hope more former "lefties" are coming to the realizations you did, it is time for the American people to stand up for what is right and good for our country and rebuke those who are only interested in power and money, no matter the party, and you have helped, I hope, in starting others in that direction, if they will listen. However eloquent and true your letter is I think where Joe Biden is concerned it probably fell on deaf ears.

The US is a DEMOCRACY. It elects officials directly that represent them at every level of government. It allows "We, the people" to state an opinion on issues that may serve to influence fellow citizens at the ballot box. So, let's stop the baloney. Even Madison recognized the difference between "pure democracy", i.e. mob rule, and the form of democracy that is our republic - both being different forms of democracy. Either may be properly termed "democracy" within the correct context. No one anticipates "pure democracy" in contemporary discourse. It's hairsplitting "I'm smarter than you" elitist nonsense "correcting" the well-accepted colloquial use of the term to highlight a difference without a general usage distinction. democracy dĭ-mŏk′rə-sē noun 1. Government by the people, exercised either directly or through elected representatives. 2. A political or social unit that has such a government. 3. The common people, considered as the primary source of political power. Now, which of these don't apply?

President Joe Biden concluded his political rallies for the midterms at a historically black university in Maryland, telling students they were “just as smart” as other colleges in the United States. Biden defended the “historic” $5.8 billion in funding he budgeted for HBCUs as president. “HBCUs don’t have the endowments others have, but guess what, you’re just as smart, you’re just as bright, you’re just as good as any college in America,” Biden said. “That money is to build laboratories and other things for the future that you need to have access to,” he added. Biden’s comment recalls a number of racially insensitive comments he has made about black people.

This is the “second-highest number ever recorded,” NBC’s Chuck Todd said on Sunday.

Common sense, state law, and a Pennsylvania court all say “no,” but Democrat Senate wannabe John Fetterman thinks otherwise and took his case to court Monday. Fetterman, who’s in a tight race (notice I didn’t say “neck and neck”) with Republican candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz, joined the Democrats’ U.S. House and Senate campaign arms and two Democratic voters to sue in a federal court in Pittsburgh, arguing that the handwritten date requirement is a burden and an attempt at voter suppression.

The incidents took place at a polling place in Carmel, Indiana, under the Hamilton County Election Office. Hamilton County election administrator Beth Sheller declined to confirm the poll worker's identity in an interview with Fox News Digital, but detailed a report from the inspector at the polling location. Sheller stated that the inspector had learned of two separate incidents that may constitute electioneering and election interference.

Final Rasmussen Poll: GOP Leads Generic Congressional Ballot by 5 Points.” “The Democrats are in Trouble.” “Hispanics Across Arizona, Florida, Texas Abandon Democrats.” (Snip) Two things about the election Tuesday scare me. One, so many of the races are so close. Nearly all the important Senate races are neck and neck: Pennsylvania, Arizona, Nevada, New Hampshire, and Georgia, all so very tight. Why? How can Americans look at the country and not slaughter the Democrats?

It’s times like these when you yearn for the perfect words to explain not only how important it is to vote Tuesday, but also to properly describe just how awful the people you’re running against are. In the case of Democrats, unfortunately, the words needed to describe them tend to contain four letters and generally are slang for body parts or directions for action involving them. That makes them unusable in a family-friendly column, but I’m going to try to get around that as best I can and paint as accurate of a picture as possible about why we should be grateful for these horrible Democrats.

Canada’s Association of Medical Assistance in Dying Assessors and Providers (CAMAP) chose this perhaps awkward moment to roll out a webinar for healthcare professionals that advised them to offer assisted suicide to their suffering patients. As Canada’s National Post noted, doctors around the world are normally “explicitly prohibited or strongly discouraged” from bringing up the subject of euthanasia, even in jurisdictions where assisted suicide is legal. A consensus is emerging among Republicans that it is time for Donald Trump to get off the stage and stop damaging his party and his country. It is reflected in tomorrow’s New York Post cover: In the same paper, John Podhoretz, never a Trump fan, writes: “Here’s how Donald Trump sabotaged the Republican midterms.” Trump’s record is bleak. Liberal fundraisers actually put money behind Trump-endorsed candidates in GOP primaries all over the place to help them prevail so that Democrats could face them in the general election. It was transparently cynical and an abuse of our political process. But it worked like gangbusters.
