Former President Trump is calling on Republicans to impeach Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) for "allowing" Democrats to pass their agenda items. During an interview on Real America News, Trump insisted that the Democratic Party must "have something" on McConnell since he has often made deals with them on the debt ceiling in the past. "Mitch McConnell keeps allowing [them] to have it. I mean, they ought to impeach Mitch McConnell if he allows that. Frankly, Mitch McConnell, something has to be — they have something on him. How he approves this thing is incredible," Trump said. With just days until the midterm elections,

If he's impeached does KY voter get to go to the polls or does the Governor of the state pick his replacement? If it's the latter make him stay and give him nothing, put him as a minor player on a minor committee.

A vote of no confidence would humiliate Turtle so much. I like that scenario very much. He does need to pay for his harm against this nation's election system. He is certainly manipulating it for his own agenda. Turtle forgets who his employers are, and it should not be China or Ukraine. We the People are the ones who hire you guys. Best you start remembering that. They all need a comeuppance, the sooner the better.

There is a single precedent for impeachment of a US senator (Blount) but it may have been after removal. It’s constitutionally unclear whether a sitting senator may be impeached but the better argument (close call) favors aye.

I remember when Rush, that epitome of the ultimate southern gentleman, would speak to McConnell on the EIB golden mic. Rush had so much respect for McConnell and showed such deference to him. Fortunately for many Rush fans, there was no way to know what he actually thought, but it was certainly a showcase for the way that Rush was raised by such principled parents and grandparents. I miss Rush. (Like many here have opined, I can imagine he and Lucianne might pass on a golden street or share a quiet talk.)

Mitch McConnell needs to go and go quickly after Republicans take back control of the Senate. I don't want to hear crap about how Mitch got the judges passed, blah, blah, blah. Quite frankly, that was the skell's job. And I suspect it was his staff that did most of that work. Much of that is pure process and when you know the process and get good at it, you can move mountains. That is the trick of good, professional and reliable public servants. Given his disgusting, traitorous behavior during this election, talking down our fantastic senate candidates and withholding money from their campaigns, how on earth could he EVER assume the mantle of Senate Majority leader? I ask you, how? Something must be done to Mitch, impeach, censure, recall whatever, to let him and others who would betray the voters and the people of the United States of American as Mitch has done for years, that there are consequences. Embarrass him. Drag him through the mud. But, let him know, his conduct is deplorable and will not be tolerated by liberty loving American citizens.

He is a Chinese pawn and if Trump wants to say he should be impeached, then I am with him 100%. Mitch McConnell's ways have been FAR more disrespectful and ugly than anything Trump could say. His caucus may not elect him leader, but (1) impeachment is by the House, (2) members of the House and Senate are not officers of the United States and therefore are not subject to impeachment. After four years in office and two impeachments, Trump should know this. His knowledge of the Constitution and how government works is as shockingly shallow as that of Biden and Harris.

and one might remember MItch's full throated promise to destroy the T party. Mitch has enjoyed a daily plung in the private pool that is the swamp since the mid sixties. The relationship between he, his wife and the Chinese government is indefensible even if the Chinese were not in the middle of a concerted global effort to destroy Christianity and Western Civilization by destabilizing the United States. He is the first and best example not of statesmanship, but of the puppets of the donor class, whatever their funding source or their principles, Mitch is there making sure that the boat doesn't rock.

Just in time for Christmas, actor Kirk Cameron joined the stable of Brave Book authors with a newly released children’s book he hopes will help “fight back” against the “toxic ideas” indoctrinating America’s youth. Sen. Warnock was leading Walker 50.4% to 49.6% when the race was called, earning the senator his first, full six-year term after ousting an appointed Republican incumbent in a special election runoff nearly two years ago. Walker’s defeat was a major blow to the Republicans. They capped a disappointing midterm election season with yet another loss that effectively surrendered a Senate seat to the Democrats, who saw their majority grow from 50 to 51.

If the former president had deliberately attempted to sabotage the Republicans' chances ever since November 2020, he could not have been more destructive than he actually was. In the Senate, the Trump effect meant Republicans lost chances at a whopping 10 seats (one of them two times!) they either should have won or in which they might have been competitive.
