Dodging Blackouts, California Faces New

California finds itself on edge more than ever with a lingering fear: the threat of rolling blackouts for years to come. Despite new power plants, building huge battery storage systems and restarting some shuttered fossil fuel generators over the past couple of years, California relies heavily on energy from other states — the cavalry rushing over a distant hill. Sometimes the support does not show up when expected or at all. That was the case this month, when millions of residents got cellphone alerts urging them to cut their energy use as the state teetered close to blackouts in blazing heat.
This is the end result of a state's leadership putting the woke agenda ahead of the needs of the citizenry. However, as the people vote their leadership into positions of power, they are getting what they deserve.

Is the woke agenda merely the smoke screen behind which our foreign enemies operate to inflict thousands of cuts?

It's like what Richard Feynman was fond of saying: if you're experimental results don't comport with your theory then your theory is wrong. This applies to a great degree to green energy

FTA: As climate change makes extreme weather events more frequent, the peril has only increased... I like the glib, matter of fact way in which they write and publish completely baseless and misleading statements. Unfortunately, policies based on such nonsense has brought Kalifornia to this precipice. If every vehicle on the state's roads becomes an EV the grid will be required to supply multiple times (Some say 28. Some say 82. It doesn't matter) the power it does today. Where is that coming from ? Other states? Other countries? Moonbeams, Unicorns??

They need more electric cars to back feed into the grid and share their power with others. The greater good must survive! Hahaha 🤣 what a joke!

California gets a lot of its water from other states, too, right?
#8, in general they can, but restrictions on them during bad-air days in Southern California. Not to mention, whose trees are they going to cut down to get the wood? It sounds very un-Green.

Unplug your cars, and be prepared to evacuate in case of earthquakes or forest fires.

Questions? LOL! I KNOW that the California power supply is an absolute disaster. It is being destroyed by EcoCrazies who have zero knowledge of what it takes to have a reliable power system, and who DO NOT CARE if people are without power sometimes.
They ONLY care about "eco" baloney, and intend to run the state on moonbeams and unicorn flatulence.
Anyone in California that doesn't have their own electrical generating capacity is going to be lighting with candles....if they have them.

Re #8, San Joaquin valley prohibited wood burning stoves or fireplaces in new construction in 2003, pretty much all of southern California has a ban on using fireplaces or wood or pellet stoves on "bad air days". I would presume that as soon as any significant number of people fired up their wood stoves in SoCal, a bad air day would be declared and fines issued.

No worries because there is an emerging market for EVs to have a small trailer towed behind them with a dual fuel home generator from Home Depot or Lowes fitted up to keep the car charged all the time. This way you don't need some expensive charging station that's hard to find. Brilliant.

Since Kalifornia votes by 'feelings', they should be feeling good about now. Here in South Louisiana, I know I do!
